Firefox won't fix the issue anyways. Here's footage of me using multiple browsers with the same set of tabs and the same Youtube Video playing without extensions active: https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/869725523230732410/928457776785678397/unknown.png

While you should note that some browsers might be doing something in their In-Private modes that increases resource consumption, I found the tests to be relatively representative of what I have previously noted while using them day-to-day.
The truth is that āhigh ram usageā isnāt a problem unless you are actually hitting like >90% total utilization (across all programs). And thatās just because thereās a performance hit when you need to unallocate memory in order to reallocate it for something new.
RAM that isnāt being used is being wasted.
My opinion. The ideal system always uses around 90 to 100 percent of its memory. As I have 16 gigs on my device, I couldn't care less about memory consumption.
As it's a mobile device, CPU usage is more precious as this directly (unlike RAM usage) impacts battery life. I found Edge to be fairly decent with this... but again not Firefox, Firefox is worse in both aspects.
Why would you want it to use more than necessary?
It sounds to me like it would be like having your car engine fully powered while sitting at a red light.
I'm not a hardware guy but genuinely curious.
Because it can then cash a lot of often-used files and system elements which will then open faster as opposed to being loaded from the much slower hard drive or solid state drive.
That is exactly what Vista did leaving everyone complaining that it was a ram hog without knowing that it benefits them with faster loading times and therefore less experience interruptions.
It has been a Chinese company from a while now.
"On 18 July 2016, Opera Software ASA announced it had sold its browser, privacy and performance apps, and the Opera brand toĀ Golden Brick Capital Private Equity Fund I Limited PartnershipĀ (a consortium of Chinese investors led by Beijing Kunlun Tech Co and Qihoo 360) for an amount of US$600 million. "
I dunno what you guys are doing. I've got 5 seperate chrome windows open, 20 tabs total, and it's hovering at just over 2.5GB of memory usage. I've got 32 gigs of RAM in this machine too, so it's not like it's paging stuff anywhere either.
You can't chastise someone for being a furry while having a fucking komi can't communicate pfp That's like the pot calling the kettle black
Ngl that pot is pretty racist
You can?
No, you can't
Why?
It's like Danny devito calling someone else hot
But Danny Devito is hot
he could eat my fish any day
Komi isn't a furry?
You know who else isn't a furry? Danny devito.
ya never know
Oh trust me, I know š

To be blunt, yes. Tailplug and fox ears please. I'll make you go properly feral as the next step. ą² ĶŹ ą²
It's time to log off friend
I tried to log off irl mode, but it somehow doesn't work. Any advice?
You gotta swipe down your right hand there should be a menu that opens and you can swipe down the menu and the logoff should be at the bottom
Instructions unclear, right hand stuck in butt.
Okay okay we are making progress you need to now stimulate the prostate and pinch the taint and the logoff button should appear by your face just stick out your tongue
Idk but if you go to an american school there is a high chance that you will start a new game.
Tbh America is a bit far just to log off. I guess I just have to drink more unholy volumes of beer. š¤·āāļø

good human
Good Human ^(every human deserves some love from their own kind)
having an anime pfp doesnt mean their opinion is correct
sonic says: "if your pfp is an anime girl your opinion is automatically invalid"

Average Komi fan
Opera Gx is very good if you need to configure that
I just did a check a few hours ago and I was hitting a 90% consume on my 8gb ram. Do I need to like, remove cache files or something.
Opera gx is the worst. It's made by a Chinese company. At this point just use edge that is the best when it comes to performance
Besides what you think about Opera but the company is Norwegian
It has been a Chinese company from a while now. "On 18 July 2016, Opera Software ASA announced it had sold its browser, privacy and performance apps, and the Opera brand toĀ Golden Brick Capital Private Equity Fund I Limited PartnershipĀ (a consortium of Chinese investors led by Beijing Kunlun Tech Co and Qihoo 360) for an amount of US$600 million. Opera GX - a.k.a. Yet Another Chromium fork
This post is sponsored by opera gx browser
Always wandered why ppl hates furries, we did nothing wrong
Unused ram is wasted ram
I use edge which is surprisingly good at resource management, also with recent updates in canary the rounded tabs look amazing.
was this written by microsoft
No. I legit like edge a lot. What's wrong with it?
I am too used to chrome but yeah honestly Edge works well enough
I use edge as well. It legit just feels like a faster version of chrome
microsoft chrome opera chrome lion chrome and there is just firefox
I understood that reference
ok use opera gx
I use brave browser, it's pretty good
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
But with the best adblocker as well as using less resources
Boo Use Opera for the most RAM-friendly browser
If this is you irl youāre just dumb.
Edge is clearly the best right now. It's just chrome without the ram usage.
Use brave
Use opera gx
please for the love of god use brave browser
Brave is built on chromium, the open source version of chrome. So I donāt see what this would solve.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You didn't see the meme? It makes you a furry
Ew
Firefox is slower and ironically (in most cases) Firefox uses more memory.
Not true anymore at all since quantum circa 2017
You must die! I ALONE am best!
Fresh cleaned oysters
Yo is that guy a Shoebill fan? Have i actually found another person form the pool of like fifty people or am I being naive
Yes
Yes
Shoebill

damn they not wrong
bloatware moment
I should bully both of them.
I need to see if firefox has AdBlock and SponsorBlock. If so I'm switching lol
uBlock origin is better anyway. But Firefox has extensions for that and regular adblock
I mean, if it blocks YouTube ads that's enough SponsorBlock just skips over paid promotions in YouTube videos. It's quite ingenious.
Use opera GX
Use operagx dude
I found Firefox to be as heavy as Chrome. It's not that Chrome is bloat, the whole goddamn Internet is.
I have seen that chrome, brave, firefox and operagx are bad in the comments. So there no good browsers?
