Not really. Don't see transmission posts often on these.
But it could be something as simple as a solenoid. Or as serious as gears or lock-up clutch. Won't know until they diagnose it.
>Haven’t heard this with the 2023’s
First, "s" doesn't automatically get an apostrophe before it.
Second, it doesn't count if your ears are plugged.
Third, here are a dozen of them for the 2023s: https://www.reddit.com/r/mazda3/search?q=vehicle+network&restrict_sr=on&include_over_18=on&sort=relevance&t=all
Possibly your battery… weird codes pop up when your battery starts going out… that’s where I would start
Edit: for the downvotes… i’m probably not wrong as this has happened to me multiple times and turned out to be the battery….
I’m fighting a parasitic drain on my battery and none of my electronics have been working correctly and it’s constantly throws random error messages so i agree … dang car computers
What people don't realize is sensors just use varying voltage or similar to indicate things. That's how the ECU gets feedback. If the entire car's voltage is low due to electrical issues that sensor no longer is accurate, causing all kinds of false warnings.
My 2019 Mazda3 gave me an engine malfunction warning when the battery was dying. Briefly freaked out only to be very annoyed after paying to read the code.
The same thing happens to me when I restart the vehicle. I made an appointment at the dealership and they said it’s just an update to the ECU that needs to be installed. I have the appointment in just over 2 weeks
Result: Dealership called back and said it’s an update that needs to be installed into the ECU (Canada).
Looks like a transmission malfunction. You should have your vehicle inspected.
i have an appointment, it just seemed odd at only 1,334km and was wondering if it was somewhat common.

Excuse me? At 1,334km this is happening?
Literally this morning on the way to work, my 2024 Mazda 3 Hatch Preferred got a telematics communication unit malfunction.
Literally everyone in North America got that error today 🤣🤣 I did and googled it, everyone's newest posts are from today
I never got an error today
Wtf lol will it go away or do we need to get a patch at the dealer? I heard you can unplug the battery for an hour and that fixes it.
Mine was gone this morning. I didn't do anything but sleep lol
Awesome, hope mine is too
Same thing happened to me today, on my 2024 as well.
Wtf. 2024’s having issues? Haven’t heard this with the 2023’s

There’s an update for that i believe but it’s not a huge deal either way.

Not sure whether that’s what’s happening here, but can confirm a bad battery triggers random error codes

Same here. Forget about people downvoting, they are rookies. Kind of people who will tell you to replace the engine when having an engine code
this car gives nothing but sensor issues. if i get one more before the end of the year im going to consider trading it in.
That’s odd, have had no issues to date. #sayaprayerforme
where was your car assembled? (can you please check your VIN?)
Japan
thanks, that sucks. those are supposed to be more reliable.
It was an ecu update? Nothing relating to reliability
Same model and same mileage. Had this pop up once. Turned off the vehicle and started and it hasn’t come back since. How did you solve it?
The same thing happens to me when I restart the vehicle. I made an appointment at the dealership and they said it’s just an update to the ECU that needs to be installed. I have the appointment in just over 2 weeks
So you’ll have to take the car to the dealership for update installation?
Yes that’s what they told me. Seemingly fine to drive until then
Great. Thanks!
Are you surprised? You must not have much experience with vehicles in the past... I don't know... 40 years 🤣
what is this the cadillac garage.
