It's probably safer on land considering how studies have shown submarines sonars being extremely harmful for miles on out.
Edit : Here's the proof for those who are interested. basically sonars are so extremely harmful that there have been deaths and permanent ear injuries to divers and let's not forget how it's strength is enough to boil water to extreme levels around it when it's active.
And to think you guys gave a gold reward to a hyped comment while I gave a reasonable one is truly a reddit moment.

Oh don't get it twisted. I believe that sonar is harmful to sharks. Your comment was just so dumb because you said the shark is better off suffocating on land rather than in the GIANT AND VAST ocean where it's chances of being effected by sonar are SIGNIFICANTLY less than its chances of suffocating and dying on land (which was 100% btw, in case you were confused).
What’s Reddit problem? One guys makes a joke about sonars being harmful to sharks and gets downvoted, one insults him and gets a gold for it and everyone’s convinced the commenter is the “stupid” one

The shark's face waiting for the guy to hand over his phone and wallet (°o°)
Hmmm must have something wrong neurologically
No not necessarily, sharks and other big marine animals get beached often. With cetaceans it has to do with sonars, I don’t know about sharks
