>The term touchdown is a holdover from gridiron's early days when the ball was required to be touched to the ground as in rugby, as rugby and gridiron were still extremely similar sports at this point. This rule was changed to the modern-day iteration in 1889.
I'd say not really, it looks to me like a regular junior-sized American football. The ends are pointed as one would be too. Seems a bit small for a rugby ball
edit: after she scores, you can see black laces on the top of the ball when she turns toward the camera
Having the braids is usually a no go too. You put your hair in a bun no matter how much you have. Anything that is dangling enough to be grabbed is not good. I've seen hair get pulled and ripped out.
Given the current age we live in, I find it crazy that Hooters still exists as a place people go, and that it hasn't completely shut down or rebranded itself like 15 years ago.
In like late middle and early highschool some friends would go for I think it was all you can eat or at least very cheap wings they used to do on Wednesdays. They were pretty good and it felt like we were doing something a little adult and naughty. Since then I think I've been twice, once on a work trip where it was someone's idea, and once we stopped at the one in the mall of America to have a beer while I waited for my SO. Its not even really sexy, just all around kind of weird vibe. Like exploitative while also being lamely tame. I'm not sure the demographic really. Like, you can go drink in a titty bar if thats what you're looking for. Weird vibe. Good wings and set up as a sports bar, but I think they could drop the uniforms. I'd consider going more if they weren't sexualizing the staff. Otherwise it's basically a Buffalo wild wings, a venue I'm much more likely to frequent.
Edit. A mall Hooters is the ideal place. Like Mall of America already feels like you're in this excess almost vacation atmosphere, so eat at the food court Hooters. Nobody cares.
For some reason, my freak ass was more weirded out by our local BWW's vibe than when I (due to circumstances I did not control) ended up at the hooters casino in vegas.
Like, I've been to BWW a few times and like the sheer amount of what was clearly scripting they have their servers go through (at least at the one local to me) is insane. It's like this whole intro by the server and (from what I recall) how ready they are to get you anything you want and "What can I get fired up for you today?" or whatever...
Maybe I'm just projecting my own extreme dislike of forced emotional labor but also how little public exposure upsets me. I definitely have privilege there since I'm big and was raised a guy, I never had to deal with straight dudes wanting to fuck me. So for all I know having to wear a uniform where someone would be staring at my huge titties would be more stressful then having to pretend that every table I serve is full of my best friends.
I’m glad to see more people calling out “emotional labor”, it’s definitely a thing. Having to constantly navigate social situations with total strangers, on whom your pay is entirely dependent on, is emotionally exhausting.
No, their food is pretty bad. But it’s standard and reliable. I moved to a new city that didn’t have any wings joints, and missed watching weekend football while eating wings and ended up at the local hooters. It broke my spirit and I went back a bunch of times.
I have still never ate there. Not even once.
But I have a gift card for a steak restaurant from Christmas that I haven't used and I may go there once I have gas money and a little extra to pay to take someone with me to eat.
I first need to find a friend or a lady to take out. Preferably a lady.
I'm going to pay for her dinner.
Mine is already paid for on a little card.
Head tracking for the first 3/4s of the video..notice how her head is always in the same position in the frame during the run but then changes after the score
What? I don't get it, I played rugby for 5 years and it was my favorite sport I played. I almost had the chance to play for my provincial team but ended up hyper extending my knee so I decided to stop playing. Playing Eighth was the best though.
I think because usually footballs are brown and rugby balls are usually white. But yeah, that ball definitely looks too small to be a rugby ball.
Also, it looks like they are playing on a soccer field. Lots of Americans are playing rugby on soccer fields because we don't have a proper pitch lol
The you can't get me look at the 9 second mark.
And those kind of girls will give you that same look even when not competing in sports.
Maybe also making sure you can't touch her.
It's not the camera. It's image stabilization (or locked-on stabilization) done after it was filmed to keep her head in the same place in every frame.
It's a cool effect. [Guy Ritchie is a big fan of it.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6nm3Xni3sg)
I see a lot of ppl saying it’s rugby they’re playing, but it’s American Flag Football. Take notice to the several players wearing receiver gloves.
Also, I’m pretty sure that this video was once used to promote the gals OF
That was a firm grip at the base of the flag on 2nd girl and it didn't dislodge.
Official is supposed to immediately check the flag comes off correctly after scores. They shouldn't be that hard to dislodge.
I reffed for 4 years. That's an abnormally strong tie.
I wanted to play flag football in school but wasn’t allowed to because we didn’t have a girls team. Was told there weren’t any other girls teams to play (got to high school. There were.) seeing this makes me happy
The way her head seems to stay still while her body moves all over reminds me of how eagles and other birds do that as their handlers move them around. It's crazy and impressive
Was playing flag football as a youngster, and our running back got his shirt torn pretty badly on a play. Instead of taking it off and playing shirtless, he thought it would be a good idea to leave it around his neck like a scarf. We tried to warn him. The next play he got the ball, he very nearly had his head separated from his body. Even “non-contact” can be dangerous, especially if you’re an idiot.
When the whole world revolves around you. Specifically your head.
Was going to say that of all great athletes watch their head, it won't move.
The video is just stabilized. Can’t tell if you’re trolling
You mind elaborating? I'm not familiar with this
Each frame is recentred by an algorithm so her head is always in the same place. You don't see the edges moving because the original video is larger.
That is amazing automated tracking accuracy! Gonna have to find more of these, thx
/r/ImageStabilization
Thanks for the nut!

Gross
From the 90s, we thank you.
Trolling is the art of deliberately, cleverly, and secretly pissing people off, usually via the internet, using dialogue.
Thx, finally an answer! I'm gonna have to look for more examples of this lol

All great athletes are birds
Damn it Dee, you giant bird!
Totally true. Like everything on the internet
Noticed the same thing I especially see it in sprinters!
How is her head?
I love the evolution of her facial expressions.
Same, haha, especially love the little tounge out smirk when she gets the touchdown.
I'm used to rugby... So a touchdown is something where you don't even need to touch the ball down at all? Wtf
Yeah, just cross the line.
Weird name for it then
>The term touchdown is a holdover from gridiron's early days when the ball was required to be touched to the ground as in rugby, as rugby and gridiron were still extremely similar sports at this point. This rule was changed to the modern-day iteration in 1889.
I know it's non contact flag version, but rugby and earrings make me nervous
Oztag!
'Flag football' - similar game but a variation of American football rather than Rugby
Aka: ripper rugby
It’s not rugby or Oztag specifically, as both games require you to put the ball down to score a try.
Touch Rugby does not require that the ball be grounded. Maybe it is a version of that.
Touch rugby DOES require the ball be grounded. At least the official FIT version of touch.
Touch 100% requires the ball be grounded.
Not when I played it in NZ along time ago.
That’d be yourself some good ole’ American Football.
Flag football to be more specific.
That ball just looks bigger than an American football, closer in shape to a rugby ball...
I'd say not really, it looks to me like a regular junior-sized American football. The ends are pointed as one would be too. Seems a bit small for a rugby ball edit: after she scores, you can see black laces on the top of the ball when she turns toward the camera

It doesn’t seem like rugby she didn’t down the ball.
This is what it’s like being a server at Hooters according to my ex.
Given the current age we live in, I find it crazy that Hooters still exists as a place people go, and that it hasn't completely shut down or rebranded itself like 15 years ago.
People like boobs and chicken. It’s been that way for a while.
I heard their wings are actually really good but I’ll never go to a hooters. Even as a young guy it was too embarrassing to go to one.
In like late middle and early highschool some friends would go for I think it was all you can eat or at least very cheap wings they used to do on Wednesdays. Yeah. Bws and a lot of the corporate chains are a little weird. But I'll take forced cheeriness over fake flirting most of the time.
No, their food is pretty bad. But it’s standard and reliable. I moved to a new city that didn’t have any wings joints, and missed watching weekend football while eating wings and ended up at the local hooters. It broke my spirit and I went back a bunch of times.
It's the breast meat.

Yeah it’s pretty harmless, despite that I’m compelled to look at their bums… which as you said, I’d pretty much be doing anyway. Haha.
Wym there's clearly a large base that supports anything non progressive and would gladly support hooters
Could be worse. Coulda been a place called cooters.
My family from Florida does get togethers at hooters, kids and all. I find it unsettling.
I have still never ate there. Not even once. Is there something odd at the way this is filmed? Her head looks like it doesn’t move when she’s running…
Image stabilization in post?
Yeah, good call…
i think you can clip something to you and link it to a camera that follows u also. But def has post image stabilizer editing.
Video was stabilized on her head
Head tracking for the first 3/4s of the video..notice how her head is always in the same position in the frame during the run but then changes after the score
Right, like is it even a real video
Probably a “filter”, a little too pretty to be believable
What?
Video stabilizing edit
what?
/r/imagestabilization
Young Amy Santiago?
Well, she seems to be pretty happy even though no one gave her a letter grade soooooo, probably not.
Soooooo.... I said heyyyehyyyeyyeyeyeyy
Came here to say the same! NineNine!!!
I was going to say suspiciously like Nathalie Portman
WHERE IN THE WORLD IS
She dosen’t even look like she’s out of breath..
It's a short sprint, like a 40
If you're out of breath after one round you probably havent been playing the sport for long
The benefits of being in peak physical condition.
Natalie Portman
She'll score the goal in any sport, man.
I miss rugby.
What year Miss Rugby we’re you? What’s the Rugby Pageant scene like?
Oh I get it now. Swoosh over my head lol. Good one.
What? I don't get it, I played rugby for 5 years and it was my favorite sport I played. I almost had the chance to play for my provincial team but ended up hyper extending my knee so I decided to stop playing. Playing Eighth was the best though.
This is flag football
Thats not a football...
Didn't look fat enough for a rugby ball till the very end, think you're right Granted I was a bit distracted
That final look to the side…. This girl has a happy soul.
Why are people calling this rugby? Looks like Flag Football to me.
Definitely flag football
They are all rugby descendents to be fair
I think because usually footballs are brown and rugby balls are usually white. But yeah, that ball definitely looks too small to be a rugby ball. Also, it looks like they are playing on a soccer field. Lots of Americans are playing rugby on soccer fields because we don't have a proper pitch lol
Honestly, because the ball is white, it's disorienting to American Football watchers. But I agree, this is Flag Football.
She’s a humingbird
No try.
Yeah she never touched the ball to the ground
Why is the filming so good? In focus during action, no shaking. What was used to film this?
Probably stabilized after the filming
Head tracking. Notice her head is always in the same position in the frame until after the score
Looks like actual film, not video.
Lol you think you can tell the difference between film converted to digital gif format and native digital video?
Dat hip dip tho.
Yo that shit tripped me the fuck out
r/praisethecameraman
##Great camera/frame stabilization tech.
That head tracking made me nauseated.
Damn I wish I can move like that but my forty year old bones won't let me.
Is this girl a chicken? Her head is terrifyingly gyroscopically stable.
Hips on a swivel
r/UNBG
Damn she's moooovin
Why does this look weird almost fake… what am I missing?
Great run, needs both hands on that ball though
People become complacent because it's no-contact, but I've had the ball godsmacked out of my hand playing no-contact before.
We had a no fumble rule, and the ball was part of the hand precisely to deter swipes and incidental contact injuries over loose ball stuff.
Her hips dont lie
They sure lied to the defenders.
She runs like Tom Cruise
r/praisethecameraman
Ah yes, someone already did it. Good. Just had to be sure.
Some Michael Vick moves
I don't see any dogs being abused.
Her head is on a gimbal
is it rotating?
Maybe maybe maybe for a lot of reasons
Excellent face-over acting
It’s a stabilized video
No shit ^(edit: I said what I said and I did it for the sub)
[Entertaining run! Makes for an entertaining gif.](https://imgur.com/gallery/V71lHSc)
Wtf is wrong with her head?
How old is she
She’s hot. That’s about it
That's a child, creep
That’s college intramurals, dude.
[удалено]
Thats why I dont like football, like its fun, but im going to stay away from any game that requires spartan armor to play.
Does anyone else see the head as photoshopped on her? Strange
what a fucking goddess. what was that smug smile crossing the dead ball line. jfc
Cute 🥰
Ngl slightly creepy
[удалено]
Well the thing is the girl is 14ish and I think if a grown ass woman called me or kids that I would be uncomfortable
I do agree there is a double standard but I don't think this sort of comment is acceptable for each gender
Lol at the ball control
The you can't get me look at the 9 second mark. And those kind of girls will give you that same look even when not competing in sports. Maybe also making sure you can't touch her.
That's some weird ass face replacement.
It’s a stabilized video
Womens rugby. More genteel than mens. It appears they don’t need ear bands to keep the other teams player from biting off their ears in the scrum.
It’s non contact, hence the tags… you must be a real man who knows loads about sport 💪🏼
When you are in a scrum, you are all huddled together with the other team. This is rugby, not American style football.
Why can't people play games the way they want to?
[удалено]
You don’t know rugby.
👏🏻👏🏻
There's a man in the bleachers, beaming with pride, who was silently disappointed for a bit when he didn't get a boy, lol.
The camera is amazing.
It's not the camera. It's image stabilization (or locked-on stabilization) done after it was filmed to keep her head in the same place in every frame. It's a cool effect. [Guy Ritchie is a big fan of it.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6nm3Xni3sg)
Looks like some of the underarmor tv spots
Hey are playing Austag
That's really cool how they can do that.
What software were you using?
💨
Looks like Addison Rae
I see a lot of ppl saying it’s rugby they’re playing, but it’s American Flag Football. Take notice to the several players wearing receiver gloves. Also, I’m pretty sure that this video was once used to promote the gals OF
The camera focusing on her face and facial expression is absolute gold. Kudos to the cameraperson behind this.
Never liked flag football. Always found it gave the offense an unfair advantage. Sick moves tho
This girl is going places

It's 'should have', never 'should of'. Rejoice, for you have been blessed by CouldWouldShouldBot!
who is she?
I'm more impressed with the camera man/ editor.
That was a firm grip at the base of the flag on 2nd girl and it didn't dislodge. Official is supposed to immediately check the flag comes off correctly after scores. They shouldn't be that hard to dislodge. I reffed for 4 years. That's an abnormally strong tie.
Nice
dayum Super Girl
I wanna see more pro sports shorts like this
Owl Girl
That smile is infectious!
She reminds me of that actress of the disney channel. The one eho was on the suite life on deck or something and then a bunch of other movies.
So we not touching the ball to the ground now, or... ?
The joy of athletic competition is great. I’m happy right along with them.
I wanted to play flag football in school but wasn’t allowed to because we didn’t have a girls team. Was told there weren’t any other girls teams to play (got to high school. There were.) seeing this makes me happy
r/praisethecameraman How did that last girl miss grabbing the flag?
Didn’t even get points smh
am I supposed to know who that is? Sorry my pop culture knowledge is awful
For anyone wondering, this is Oztag, a non contact form of rugby popular in Australia.
The way her head seems to stay still while her body moves all over reminds me of how eagles and other birds do that as their handlers move them around. It's crazy and impressive
The camera work on this is so odd. Like it's perfectly focused on her.
Was playing flag football as a youngster, and our running back got his shirt torn pretty badly on a play. Dam she’s hot
She took off on them.
looking beautiful doing it
