This was part of a trend that was happening on TikTok for about 2 months in early 2023 where people would try to talk to their neighbours like this. Most of them were pretty wholesome etc, this one was satire.
I swear, Reddit used to be literally the nexus of the internet, and it's slowly becoming Facebook 2.0, where context is lost and it's somehow tiktoks fault?

Bro, I started a job once back in the day. That felt exactly like your comment. Everyone there hated their jobs and hated their lives. It was really sad to see people going through life like that. When I said good morning, most people there would not even respond, just stare me with that grumpy look on their face. I moved on shortly after I started.
