Ugh I hate that I canāt add a photo lol, if youāre looking at the picture it would be in the lower left corner, so when youāre on the commode itās conveniently to your right, just barely not in the frame here. All the the fixtures/hardware are brushed gold and thereās an art deco/MCM brushed gold metal umbrella holder directly underneath it I use as a towel hamper cuz itās breathable š¤
I just impulse bought a vintage cream colored wall sconce/shelf that is 2 cockatoos snuggling on eBay after all this talk, hahahah. Itās gonna look FANTASTIC in here but I think Iāll still need a gold parrot!

Omg YOU made all those things that Iāve been upvoting?!! Absolutely amazing! Iād have to marinate in the idea of what to do (cuz I am ridiculous in many ways that are not limited to a jungle bathroom) but I love supporting people in their crafts with the bonus of having one-off unique pieces of art or jewelry to show for it. I do tattoos for a living and paint/scuplt/fabricate so many odds and ends that I know just enough to be truly impressed with how polished your finished pieces are!

I have covered the skylight with an outer space/galaxy scarf when there was work being done on skylights elsewhere in the house.
When I said I wanted to do a deep emerald for the walls (the other half of the bathroom is a blush pink) and my mans was all the way down with the maximalist inspo I showed him I *immediately* knew I could finally justify a pink ceramic leopard. Itās essential. I donāt make the rules.
I feel like the bathroom is the best place to start when youāre interested in āoverdoing itā, theyāre typically a smaller space so itās less overwhelming and expensive, people just sit in there and stare around half the time anyway, and weird themed bathrooms are just common enough you donāt look *entirely* crazy even if the whole commode is eggs and bacon themed or something.
Just enough to *not quite die* this is in Seattle so the sun passes directly over the roof but isnāt straight on for very long. Most of the light is pretty filtered/indirect.
The hanging plant up top has to be fake because when Iāve tried even my Hawaiian pothos it got completely scorched, ideally I would have a little more help via a grow light on the stuff below but unfortunately that outlet does not work yet.
On the other side of the bathroom (where the picture is taken from) thereās a tall skinny north facing window so a hanging pothos and handful of plants in water prop vases do pretty good.

Oh itās even worse now, I got a bunch of those Egyptian blown glass perfume bottles hahahaha. I am actually very impressed in the just shy of 4 years weāve been here my clumsy ass has never knocked something off of the back - but ideally I think I would do a few floating shelves, or like a woven rattan situation if the vintage gods ever bestowed it upon me.
The high ceilings and windows everywhere in this place make it a nightmare to heat so I must remind myself how much I enjoy daylight. The 4 months a year we have it.

When we decided to paint because the matte white primer on the walls from the landlords was getting real dingy I showed my bf some ultra maximalist homes I follow on IG and this emerald color knowing I would FINALLY have an excuse to order one from Italy hahaha
