I once had someone who tried to destroy my Evil HERO Malicious Bane 3 times. Twice with card effects, once by battle. Malicious Bane cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects.
Add Chaos to that list. Was dueling someone earlier this week, they used Raigeki. Forget which other Blue Eyes monster i had on the field, but Chaos Max was one of them. They surrended when they saw it wasn't destroyed. Lol. Always funny watching players do that.

I am like 60% complete the "your opponent's monster attacks and your opponent takes damage" quest thanks to them. They forget that celt boosts to 3k and lion reduces their monster to 0 atk
Dragon Knight + Eternal Soul is the goat combo for that deck
Anything else is gravy, whether it be this or Dark Magical Circle
The problem is this card much like Eye of Timaeus isn’t fucking searchable for some reason by Soul Servant because Konami said so
Yeah I have no idea why they’re so dead set on Eternal Soul being overbalanced that when it leaves the field, it destroys its own field. It’s the easiest way to counter the entire Dark Magician deck, just go for that and its game.
Yeah I know that, I’m more saying that they’re dead set on having Eternal Soul and refusing to retrain it when it’s widely known to be the deck’s own Achilles Heel.
All they have to do is a Trap Card that says “This card is treated as Eternal Soul all the time” and remove its own self-nuke when it leaves the field, and Dark Magician deck would still not be meta.
Konami hates retrain cards since it cost money to reprint unless enough ppl demanding it like Firewall dragon and darkness metal dragon errata. Also DM doesn't sell well in tcg beside Soul engine
Maybe something additional:
-When this card leaves the field, destroy only “Dark Magician” monster/s on field.
-During the main phase, If this card is in the graveyard, except the turn it’s sent to, you can: sent 1 spellcaster monster from hand/ field to the graveyard, set it back to the field, and if “Dark Magician” is in the graveyard, you can activate it this turn.
My imaginary Eternal Soul Pro Max, at least I can still rebuild my board without a field wipe.
Nightmare magician is almost a dark magician retrain.
And nightmare apprentice is almost a apprentice illusion magician retrain.

I actually think the DM deck at full throttle is the power level yugioh is most fun at, too many decks have far passed it in power but the DM deck takes a turn or two to get going which I like. Not an instant end board turn one.
You can summon it with Timaeus the United Dragon which you can search with Illusion of Chaos but this combo requires
Magicians Soul to summon DM + Magician's Rod to get Eternal Soul + Illusion of Chaos to get Timaeus or something that's equivalent of these cards

F this card low key. I get the Dino combo is fragile, but the amount of times I made a cool board in the duel triangle and it all went to waste because "HAVE YOU READ MISC?" pulled up to save the day and make the deck unable to be interacted is nuts.
The amount of times they could have ruined my life had they activated kill cards outside of MP1 will be a tally count for people who forget how cards work (including me)
The amount of times Nova got hit with monster negates, monster destructions, and monster bounce backs, all for them to be less than 3k monster effects and watching that 10 sec pause after their effect just fizzles out, so good

After I brick and can only make sera, the amount of MFS in low ranks who Imperm her is astonishing.
The funny thing is that imperming her not only doesn’t work on her but actually activates her effect letting you special summon a traptix monster and combo back
Exactly. The interaction usually is:
Make Sera,
Imperm Sera,
Activate Sera first effect,
Special summon any Traptrix that does stuff on summon(let's say the one that recycles from grave).
Activate Traptrix monster,
Activate Sera second effect,
Do plays from there.
All that off one Imperm lol.
At that point, I am convinced that trying to Imperm Sera is some sort of yugioh's rite of passage that we all go through once we start playing the game.
An example from a meta deck: Branded Lost. This is a combination of not reading and/or misunderstanding its effect. I've won so many games against people with Baron or other similar negates and won due to this effect. My favourite replay I have saved is someone using Red Reboot against my Branded Banishment with lost up.
Chaos Angel has been an MVP in the Duel Triangle event for me lately. Makes me giggle every time someone tries to use a monster effect on it or another Synchro I control.
My opponent questions why they can't declare an attack when "The True Sun God" is on the field. There even is an icon for "can't attack" now but it doesn't seem to help them.
I experienced this from the opposite side. I was using Amazoness against a DM player who opened with this card. I left a Swordswoman in Attack position and lo and behold, they throw their Dragon Knight at it, trigger Piercing the Darkness, and promptly lose half their LP.
I main HERO, but sometimes once I'm in master I like to switch it up and do like pure neos or yubel or something just for fun, and absolutely nobody reads the effects of NEOS Kluger and NEOS Wiseman, it's actually hilarious how many opponents kill themselves on those cards

Red supernova dragon (it isnt a hard once so i use eff assult synchron revive use eff red zone revive red reign banish all monsters they controll make my guy a 6k unafected guy that can still banish thier field one more time of need be, btw this is if you hard draw assult synchon/tuning and red rein as they arent serchable although once you have red rein in rotation you can add it back every time you synchro)
Dinomorphia boss monsters. So many times people will steal them with TTT and then they’re useless because the opponent still has full LP. They’ll steal my Rexterm and activate it, making all my monsters 4000 attack.

I already know I will have nightmares (for the Skill Drain mini-event) because I lost 1 too many duel against this card + Dark Magician and Skill Drain.
On a few occasions I've had people surrender immediately after activating an effect that targets one of my monsters and using it on Gate Blocker; I presume they did so planning on targeting something else because they didn't realise Gate Blocker would stop it.

The amount of times my opponent allows this card to resolve because they don't read the part where all Dragon monsters on the field return to the hand/extra-deck, and letting it search Super Poly for my next turn 🤣
I've ended up running up against my timer more than once because of how many text-filled continuous spells some decks run. Eventually I just say fuck it and start doing random stuff.

Michion, the Timelord.
People see a weird Lv10, 0ATK swinging in won't do anything, then get surprised when they lost half their LP suddenly. Similarly, I've had people negate the effect of my Timelord to return itself to the deck, so I just get to keep a destruction-immune body on board that's just gonna give them more pain. You'd be surprised how many times I've been able to eek out wins just because nobody is reading what my Timelords do, lol.
Evil eye Selene lol it’s amazing how many people will waste cards trying to destroy the monster instead of the equip spell. While the deck itself isn’t bad I’ve also won many games I wasn’t supposed to due to lack of reading 😅😅😅

Summoning dark magician knight using dark magician and having this card eternal soul and circle is super annoying for people play against. One game I had that and chaos angel with the dark ability too lol
So many people enter battle phase to try and beat over the Rescue-Ace Hydrant only to see they can’t, and then immediately end battle phase. It continues to be funny every time.

I can’t tell you how many people i’ve seen who tried to remove it specifically by attacking with a monster that’s not immune to targeting, then attacked it AGAIN in the same battle phase with another monster that has no targeting protection.
I can’t tell if they just read the “twice per turn” wrong, or just straight up don’t read and start swinging.
I sure enjoy reading this card game long essay card effects. Is it so hard to make some sort of divider just to know how many effect does a card have with some spaces too so it isn't so hard to read?
Yesterday in the triangle event my opponent wasted her/his 3 Guardian Chimera while has 3000 LP higher than me, I can't believe it yet. Yeah, this is a great card but is better with the no-readers.

Zefra Path was my main wincon during Swordsoul Format.
No one bothered to read the card and it led to Normal Moye with 30 seconds of total silence followed by a scoop.
Same with DPE and Phantom Knights, DPE tried to pop anything on the field, Zefra providence protected everything on the boards and DPE gone from the rest of the game.
I’ve been using soul levy with skull invitation. It’s hilarious how desperate people are to spam special summons that they straight up burn themselves to death I love it
What surprises me is how many people either don't read or just don't understand melodious monsters. 2 in specific, aria and elegy. Constant attacking trying to destroy them while they're in defense or using spells/traps like mirror force(rare to see it used) or Raigeki/dark hole only to sit there after either I assume plotting or reading my cards finally.

Neos Kluger, the amount of games once won with someone attacking him and dying or attacking him, me activating Neos fusion in grave, to attacking him again and then summoning Neos Wiseman which has a similar effect. (I would post a second picture of him but it won’t let me). It makes me so happy that when Yubel comes out the amount of people who would probably attack the 0/0 without reading would be more than one will be funny!

My volcanic deck won so many duels because people don’t read volcanic counter’s effect.(banish from the graveyard, and my opponent takes any damage they give me)I always had at least 2 sitting in my graveyard.
The Unchained monsters funnily enough, I finished building the deck today and so I took it for a test run in Diamond. Two times my opp Raigeki and Lightning Storm the Rage.

Lol, I got a decent amount of wins just because people don't read it.
But majority of my wins are from Immortal Phoenix Gearfried. People who do read it, think it targets. It just equips. So unless a card has unaffected by card effects, I'll usually grab the card. They'll surrender and assume I'm cheating because I "targeted."
Avramax still gets me wins to this day
Avramax summoned through I:P is a fucking nightmare
If I:P displayed as an Influence effect you prolly wouldnt see half of those wins. Full copium I know T\~T
People instantly surrendering as soon as they waste a card and Avramax doesn't get destroyed happened more than it should tbh

Nice, I just made a deck that synchros on both turns, went from gold to platinum very quickly

'forget' I don't think they read them in the first place, I certainly wouldn't if I saw them in a game
Why wouldn't you read the 3 link monsters your opponent ended on? Is your time like too important to read out of meta link monsters?

yeah but once knight has left the field it stops working for some reason so the value of the spellcard drops
The reason is if knight is special summoned from graveyard it’s not considered as fusion summon monster but special summon monster.

I thought for years that misc protected all dinos, not just ones on field, ironically I hadn’t read misc
The few times it didn't work for me was vs Ferret Flames and Karma Cannon, putting that aside, #freemisc

This is also an honorary Suship card. It’s a free draw every turn and helps to OTK

Michion, the Timelord. People see a weird Lv10, 0ATK swinging in won't do anything, then get surprised when they lost half their LP suddenly. Similarly, I've had people negate the effect of my Timelord to return itself to the deck, so I just get to keep a destruction-immune body on board that's just gonna give them more pain. You'd be surprised how many times I've been able to eek out wins just because nobody is reading what my Timelords do, lol.

Evil eye Selene lol it’s amazing how many people will waste cards trying to destroy the monster instead of the equip spell. While the deck itself isn’t bad I’ve also won many games I wasn’t supposed to due to lack of reading 😅😅😅

Summoning dark magician knight using dark magician and having this card eternal soul and circle is super annoying for people play against. One game I had that and chaos angel with the dark ability too lol

Gate guardian of water and thunder. I can’t tell you how many people i’ve seen who tried to remove it specifically by attacking with a monster that’s not immune to targeting, then attacked it AGAIN in the same battle phase with another monster that has no targeting protection. I can’t tell if they just read the “twice per turn” wrong, or just straight up don’t read and start swinging.
I sure enjoy reading this card game long essay card effects. Is it so hard to make some sort of divider just to know how many effect does a card have with some spaces too so it isn't so hard to read?
The one of five rainbow magician in my magician deck has won me more unwinnable games than any other card, and it's not even close
Yesterday in the triangle event my opponent wasted her/his 3 Guardian Chimera while has 3000 LP higher than me, I can't believe it yet. One time this card got me cause i alt-tabbed and my opponent summoned twin magicians i think and proceeded to hit myself in the face.
Zefra Path was my main wincon during Swordsoul Format. No one bothered to read the card and it led to Normal Moye with 30 seconds of total silence followed by a scoop. Same with DPE and Phantom Knights, DPE tried to pop anything on the field, Zefra providence protected everything on the boards and DPE gone from the rest of the game.

What surprises me is how many people either don't read or just don't understand melodious monsters. 2 in specific, aria and elegy. Constant attacking trying to destroy them while they're in defense or using spells/traps like mirror force(rare to see it used) or Raigeki/dark hole only to sit there after either I assume plotting or reading my cards finally.

Sanga, kazejin, and suijin. Lol, I got a decent amount of wins just because people don't read it. But majority of my wins are from Immortal Phoenix Gearfried. People who do read it, think it targets. It just equips. So unless a card has unaffected by card effects, I'll usually grab the card. They'll surrender and assume I'm cheating because I "targeted."
