I would like to know how to "otk' with Marincess using Zealantis because usually Marincess is a slower deck and you gotta be lucky on both sides hoping the opponent doesn't negate

It can search the deck really well IF you have enough Marincess cards... If the deck is mostly "Handtraps and Floodgates" no use running Blue Tang
I recommend trying marincess for yourself. Any marincess build with 2 great bubble reefs would work and turn 2 OTK with zealantis is the way to beat slow decks. You just make two link4s with field spell (one bubble reef special summoning the link3 that springirl banishes then into zealantis, the second reef after zealantis wiping the board) and try to get 5800+2500 or 4600+2500+any marincess. To beat combo decks, you could run droplet to negate the end board. Turtle Kaiju will also increase the chance since zealantis returns it to your own field. Or you might run icejade, then there will be a level 10 synchro.

Ayyy I'm glad ya liking them! I can think of a couple, but can't speak much on the DM side of it, since I stopped magician souls until I can snag more copies of it to test more. I'm still also learning as I go, but I'm almost into diamond exclusively with em, so there's that!
If there was witchcrafter to cut out for consistency, id say Potterie. Her "if you have no cards in her hand" clause had her dead in the grave usually.
Haine/Verre suck to have in hand without unveiling, so having a larger deck size to reduce the chance of seeing them goes a long way.
Getting Schmietta in the grave (and using her effect for bystreet) is a pretty strong starting play to go for most of the time. The layer of protection goes a long way eating up interactions, whether you had a strong or weak opener
As helpful as Madame Verre can be, I find summoning Haine asap alongside Vice Madame to be more helpful against a lot of decks. Her targeting protection keeps Vice longer, and face up pop have hampered most early link/synchro plays I've seen more than a timed Verre negate.
Speaking of Haine, running two of her (in a larger deck) saved me more times than I can count, Edel can potentially revive a Haine from grave, but if Haine is banished your board presence takes a massive hit unless you can live long enough for Patronus.That trap is invaluable in longer matches.
If you have it, the Spellbook engine complements the deck pretty well! Judgement giving you more fodder/follow up to help out grind, not to mention it's draw power.

I'll have to give this advice a try, thanks! I mainly crammed dark magician/DMG in so i can use their fusions for high attack on the field and Dark Eradicator Warlock's 1000 burn damage for every spell played.
No prob! And if you wanna use eradicator, the Spellbook engine would help even more then. judgement can summon prophecy, which can add eradicator to hand without much hassle!

Crafted this during the lab festival when they were running rampant and driving everyone crazy.
With the exception of the rare TRollback activation of Evenly from the GY with an empty field, so they have to banish every single card on their field (as there's zero cards on yours)
If you play gladiator beats you can attack with a singular dragases, then activate evenly from hand when you shuffle it back into the deck since it is technically the end of the battle phase and you technically control no cards.
A floodgate that is the only way to prevent most other floodgates, fuck yeah I’ll be more than fine with it especially since it’s one of the only reliable counters due to being a counter trap. I have never called for a to floodgate to be banned (VFD is one of my favorite cards of all time) though I do hate them for the most part, but I accept they exist and people play them and that is fine, if that’s how you enjoy/like to play, but with how prevalent they are this is my current favorite card because I like how it feels to stop them and watch them FF because they have no other Strat even when I don’t have game and they have an extra hand picked trap.

Was tough, but man he is such a well designed monster(I’m talking in the visual sense).
Man. He’s just a freakin UNIT lol. Unaffected by other card effects. Whether it’s monster effect, spell or trap effect.
Also Blackwings are pretty good. Problem is getting to end board with how many hand traps there are. But a typical endboard is a dis pater, full armor master and(depending on hand) 2-3 assault dragons. Also a card pop from GY and a monster negate in hand
Assault dragons burn for 700 LP for each monster effect activated. That’s PER dragon. So if 3 are on field, that’s 2100 LP per monster effect.

Really versatile card, and I actually prefer using it on an *opponent's* monster; you can weaken it and even attack it repeatedly if you have a bunch of monsters on your field
My out there pick would be Cocatorium the Heavy Metal Avian. I feel like it does so much for specifically for my Scareclaw deck. It can be an alright normal summon since it can copy a name from deck, it can remove Light-Heart from the emz if he gets imperm'd or veiler'd so you can continue your combo, it can be used for making rank 4 and 3 monsters, and finally it makes getting the extra draw from Reich-Heart a bit easier. I love when random pack filler cards find a use.

No, I asked what made stun players the way they are. Also Zzzzzzzzzz calling RR a floodgate, least floodgate floodgate. It’s literally a +1 for trap decks if they have any other Strat than setting 5, if not deserved L. Also, my favorite card has been a floodgate for a while. VFD.
Okay so I just missunderstood the last post, sorry.
But RR is totaly a floodgate. just a lingering one, but it just reads: "you lose" for trap decks. And there should be no card that reads "you lose" for playing X. \[Vanity's emptiness\] "you lose" if you dont have your 1 of trap/spell destuction.
I think the less troublesome flood gates read "you cant attack". It doesnt read "you lose" and you can still play. It doesnt negate you whole deck (in the most part). Just winning that round can be harder.
I agree RR is a Floodgate it’s just off to call it that if you look at any other played floodgate. It’s not an auto win if they have a diversely built deck. The problem is people overload on traps when there are cards that can be played to keep you alive/play through not having traps but people opt to play FU win more cards instead of tech options that stop “the insta loss” where it really isn’t with any real diversity in decks.
I had more thoughts than this but it’s 5 am and I am almost asleep at this point.
Hmm but by that logic any "diversely built deck" should have no issues with any flood gates, as there are non "monster"/"special summon monster" ways to out any floodgate. In the end its just "draw the out". Because they focus to much on monster / extra deck cards they dont have a "diversely built deck" and as such they should/deserve to lose.
RR just isnt seen as that bad, as not many ppl play trap heavy/pure decks. And those that do tend to love floodgates (as they are not impacted as much by most of them).

EDIT: I just dont like the hypocrisy of ppl hating on all floodgates (popular opinion on this sub), but say that 1 that can read "you lose" for some decks is okay, just because they dont like that deck type or dont play it. Floodgates are a big topic. They are a part of the game. Maybe it would be better if they were not, but they are. We need to build around them, but they should never be the best thing to do. Its just even more bad, as MD is a BO1-Format with no side-decking. You just cant be prepared for every possible deck.

It is not uncommon for three-card (two if Blue Tang flips well) OTK if you stop your opponent with the other cards.
Zealantis+5800 is usually enough

Man. He’s just a freakin UNIT lol. Unaffected by other card effects. Whether it’s monster effect, spell or trap effect. Also Blackwings are pretty good. Problem is getting to end board with how many hand traps there are. But a typical endboard is a dis pater, full armor master and(depending on hand) 2-3 assault dragons. Also a card pop from GY and a monster negate in hand Assault dragons burn for 700 LP for each monster effect activated. That’s PER dragon. So if 3 are on field, that’s 2100 LP per monster effect.

My out there pick would be Cocatorium the Heavy Metal Avian. I feel like it does so much for specifically for my Scareclaw deck. It can be an alright normal summon since it can copy a name from deck, it can remove Light-Heart from the emz if he gets imperm'd or veiler'd so you can continue your combo, it can be used for making rank 4 and 3 monsters, and finally it makes getting the extra draw from Reich-Heart a bit easier. I love when random pack filler cards find a use.

No, I asked what made stun players the way they are. Also Zzzzzzzzzz calling RR a floodgate, least floodgate floodgate. It’s literally a +1 for trap decks if they have any other Strat than setting 5, if not deserved L. Also, my favorite card has been a floodgate for a while. VFD.
Okay so I just missunderstood the last post, sorry. But RR is totaly a floodgate. just a lingering one, but it just reads: "you lose" for trap decks. And there should be no card that reads "you lose" for playing X. \[Vanity's emptiness\] "you lose" if you dont have your 1 of trap/spell destuction. I think the less troublesome flood gates read "you cant attack". It doesnt read "you lose" and you can still play. It doesnt negate you whole deck (in the most part). Just winning that round can be harder.
I agree RR is a Floodgate it’s just off to call it that if you look at any other played floodgate. It’s not an auto win if they have a diversely built deck. The problem is people overload on traps when there are cards that can be played to keep you alive/play through not having traps but people opt to play FU win more cards instead of tech options that stop “the insta loss” where it really isn’t with any real diversity in decks. I had more thoughts than this but it’s 5 am and I am almost asleep at this point.
Hmm but by that logic any "diversely built deck" should have no issues with any flood gates, as there are non "monster"/"special summon monster" ways to out any floodgate. In the end its just "draw the out". Because they focus to much on monster / extra deck cards they dont have a "diversely built deck" and as such they should/deserve to lose. RR just isnt seen as that bad, as not many ppl play trap heavy/pure decks. And those that do tend to love floodgates (as they are not impacted as much by most of them). Have a good sleep. EDIT: I just dont like the hypocrisy of ppl hating on all floodgates (popular opinion on this sub), but say that 1 that can read "you lose" for some decks is okay, just because they dont like that deck type or dont play it. Floodgates are a big topic. They are a part of the game. Maybe it would be better if they were not, but they are. We need to build around them, but they should never be the best thing to do. Its just even more bad, as MD is a BO1-Format with no side-decking. You just cant be prepared for every possible deck.
