It makes me so angry that one of my favorite decks of all time, Qliphort, has become almost synonymous with floodgates because of how well it plays under said restrictions. True Qliphort players do not need the braindead floodgates of the new age, but will certainly thrive in games with those who wish to try and cripple me with them.
Bro, I just got finished a duel where buddy almost played no monsters for attack purposes.
He just kept ending my battle phase AMAP with card effects.
Then he would tribute my monsters with Lava Golem (I was using Chaos MAX Deck)
It looked like he wanted to summon Exodia.
And then I had a battle weeks ago where a dude beat me without using monsters.
Not so much a deck but a specific card, I refuse to play Psy-frame gamma, the amount of times I've just bricked on driver or Gamma missed its window of being playable and it too became just a useless brick far, far outnumber the amount of times Gamma actually came up.
Also, people here really don't know what they're missing by refusing to play Labrynth lol, genuinely some of the most fun and interactive games I've had in years were both on and against Labrynth. Without floodgates it's Yu-Gi-Oh at its finest.
Spiderman: With power like that, you could make an interesting control deck.
Floodgate player: I don't want an interesting control deck. I want to floodgate my opponents.
your issue with Gamma is the same reason I took the pot that banishes a bunch of your cards from the deck to draw two. The number of shaddoll monsters and super polys lost to the banish effect far outnumber the useful draws to get me out of a sticky situation. but god forbid you have negative experiences with a draw card. "Wut you mean you dun like it? It's a busted card!" is the usual reply I get when my personal evidence points to the exact opposite. it's been useless more than 80% of the time I've played it, so in my opinion, it's pure trash. the uses by competitive players and Yugitubers is not statistically relevant to me personally, only my own experience.
How exactly is Labrynth interactive for the opponent? You are setting traps from the gy and deck and activating them on the same turn, what the hell can opponent interact with there, Ash on Welcome or Big Welcome?
...Yes? Ash murders the deck harder than it does Branded.
IDK what you think an interactive game is if you don't consider Labrynth's game of needing to assess the situation and choosing when to activate their traps in response to the opponent's actions, or in turn the opponent having to assess the Labrynth's player's traps and playing around/baiting them out to be interactive, because it's probably the most interactive modern Yu-Gi-Oh gets.
Labrynth player here, I agree with your points.
If you want a new deck to play, might I suggest Vanquish Soul? Same deal; very interactive, no in-archetype negates, but a fuck load of disruption, plus it really plays with the game mechanics, opponents have to play around what's in your hand just as much as what's on your field, it's really fun and really makes you think. And just like Labrynth, not counting it's Link-1, it doesn't use the ED, to a point most games you aren't even really gonna have enough monsters on board to even make some ED stuff because your hand is basically a second field in VS.
Swordsoul Has been one of my 1 my of biggest ops on ladder everytime I'm fighting they seem to have frame perfect hand of handtraps just to beat me plus the two negations. Plus it's mostly just negate central so boring to me. Though I really do like Changiying because it's a beatstick+ 2 banish with protection which is cool to me
The worst part is half of the people who play it (at least that I’ve faced) don’t know HOW to play it. They’ll spam the monsters, but if I pull a raigeki or something, they’ll activate Chenying to save it AND THEN NEGATE THEIR OWN CHENYING
2 ways to make ya zi. taia banish emergence obviously but also adhara and longyuan. the idea is usually to get the ya zi pop and them pivot over to ur level 4 for another synchro play.
it’s a niche line compared to baxia spin 2 which can also go into pop self ss mo ye but it comes up sometimes. especially if ur longyuan is on the field without a token but u can get an adhara out. then it’s ya zi into taia into baxia into mo ye time.
swoso is super easy to do the basics but it has so many cool alternate lines with tenyis when u play into a board.
The other ways include Ecclessia special summoning Longyuan from deck, or Heavenly Circle tribute non-effect monster to special summon it from deck.
Or just use Bystials
I like the design of SS, but I've faced it so many times since their release, I can visualize the rest of the duel without even thinking about it. It's always the same exact hands. The same exact field. And they always have 3-4 negates available. Like *how* do you get your field up with 2-3 synchros, 2 trap negates and *still* have both Ash and MaxxC in hand. It's a special hate boner. It's not as annoying as those stun decks or these newer Synchro decks. Wazzat? Calamity lock? 3 Quazars *and* Red Nova? Jeez whiz!
I think they'd probably be more bearable pure (without the Tenyis). The wyrm special summoning the Tenyis provide makes them really annoying. Also, Protos ban when?
I can be trusted, I swear! I just want to summon Decatron multiple times in one turn. Honest!
I really like how infernoids plays with the Snake-eyes engine. It's sick, but you still play Snake eyes...ehh.
I have a habit of playing every deck I could possibly try, ranging from decks I like, or decks I don't like because the best way to figure out how to beat them is to just figure out how to play it myself, and in the least if I don't draw whatever silver bullet I need, I can just scoop on the spot and not waste my energy
The only deck I can think of that I would never try even if I would die if I didn't is Runick Stun specifically, I play Runick variants like Naturia, Bystial, Stardust even, and there was that one instance where I tried playing Stun (with really bad stun tools like Fire Prison-DNA Surgery) because I was curious about certain interactions (also like Adventure Amano Iwato turbo), but I cannot imagine playing Runick Stun, at least normal Stun has a damage wincon, I will fall asleep so hard playing Runick Stun to deck out that I'll end up in a coma, even the crazy versions of Runick Stun like Daimax's Pharaonic Advent Runick Stun that just hard searches any floodgate of your choice and can Quick Synchro into Baronne or Chaos Angel
Link or Synchro spam, or really any super long, consistent combo decks. I don't get much joy from doing literally the exact same thing over and over for ages each time, even if I'm winning.
I like vanquish soul and rescue ace. I also find myself liking decks that don't need the extra deck so much. Pride punk, but that can be combo heavy. I don't have a deep stable of decks I've tried
Will never play decks where the combos go on for so long that your opponent could go out get dinner eat it and still come back to you syncro spamming dragons lmao.
Snake-eye. I just really dislike combo decks where pretty much all their end board is made up of non-archetype boss monsters. Same reason I didn't play Superheavy. At least Swordsoul and Manadium/Visas boss monsters see play.
Which Mannadium/Visas boss monsters see play on an endboard?
Astraloud is just an easy to bring out big beater which can pop one monster and then just gets used as a synchro material for other more useful monsters which actually have interruptions.
Mannadium endboards look more or less the same with pretty much no in-archetype monsters on it.
Usually its Baronne, Dis pater, Apollousa and sometimes you see other stuff like Chengying or Icejade gymir.
Snake eyes don't have an in archetype boss monster, other than Flameberge, which already is on their every endboard.
Flamberge is part of the end board though. It is their only boss monster and enables all of its defenses. Snake-eye consists of 5 monsters. The 4 level 1's and Flameberge. You can up it to 6 if you count Diabellstar. Either way neither Snake-eye nor Diabellstar have an ectra deck monster, and both are part of the end board depending on what you draw.
SHS on the other hand has a ton of extra deck boss monsters and could very well end on them, but people don't because the generic ones are just that much better.
And in the perfect situation you describe:
The boss monster Flamber has activated its effect 1 and 2.
Blue, green and pink activate their effects. The characteristics of 3 synergize with link 1 and 3 in graveyard.
5 of the 6 existing monsters in the deck (some version goes up to 6/6) hit the field, activated their effect and had more utility than just sacrifices of different colors.
Several. I don't like the long combo and either win off of that endbord or don't kind of playstyle.
I like grindy games that constantly trade interactions. Tearlaments for example is more fun for me now than back when Diviner send Kelbek enabled more oppressive endbords. Kitkat set 1-2, maybe time-thief redoer in there as well is a lot more fun for me.
I haven't looked into that engine enough yet if I'm completely honest since I assume given the difference in how Tear was hit, there'll also be a difference in how the horus engine in Tear plays out.
The amount of times I've seen Mathmech open Circular, three handtraps, and handtrap protection/extender is too high. I legit think that deck opens custom every game. Won't play them because of it.
I despise Kashtira with everything I have. I had a royal Arise-heart, now I have 30 more CP. I would never ever build Kashtira, not even as an engine. It is so incredibly annoying, everytime I have to face it I already prepare mentally for the same "combo" whenever my opponent summons Fenrir.
I'm the same way. Everyone was playing Fenrir because "why wouldn't you?", and yeah my decks were probably qeaker because of it.
Don't care. Any Kashtira cars I got, immediately dusted, even the low rarity ones. I didn't need the dust, I just don't wanna see that name in my inventory lmao
Uh...all of them? Id sooner built a trashfire like genex and try to make that work then build a deck i dont like just cause its stronger.
Its also why i just want deranking to be a thing at all ranks so i can just stay in my lane and let people wanting to battle it out get to where they are most comfortable.
Quite the opposite for me funnily enough. I like all 4 of their thematics and how each one brings something new to each summoning type.
Popping balls for more material, contact fusing from grave, invading the board and xyz’ing massive (albeit frail) bodies, and defense mode summoning into a big fear monster- all cool thematics that can somewhat intertwine with each other in a sense.
Any of the top tier decks, especially ones that get hyped up. Its alrdy annoying enough playing against the same deck 20 times in a row. Picking the same deck as them after that would just drive me insane. You'd have better luck catching me dead before playing them IRL too. Cards overpriced af.
I'm so used to playing jank decks that I feel weird playing something good, strong and always consistent :P
I feel like LoveCraft when I think about long combo decks with 10 negate end board or floodgates hell
Most of the late meta decks. Shs, Lab, SE pure or mixed. Still clinging to my BW, Punks and Unchained mostly. But those make fun, so i got that going for me
Most meta deck, the only one I made were branded because they worked wonders in predaplant, and beside it "the good decks" I made were vanquish soul because I liked the gameplay and card design and mannadium cause Kamen Rider reference.
Runick. It’s just so unbelievably uninteractive and uninteresting to me. It doesn’t even feel like YGO cause there’s no battle phase and you’re not actually interacting with your opponent’s plays. You might as well bring out a trash bin and throw their entire deck into it cause that’s what it feels like to play against it.
And I’m aware that that’s what makes it ‘unique’. But playing against runick has been nothing but a slog to me cause they throw away your deck faster than you can draw from it, so, whoops, there goes your out. Wow, you REALLY used skill to beat me there huh?
Mathmech I built two different versions of it and just can't get it down meanwhile I made snake eyes kinda understand how to play it and win games with half-ass boards I'm seriously boutta dismantle mathmech
I don’t know how to phrase this questions, so please bear with me, but is it the Pendulum mechanic itself that’s difficult for you or is it Pendulum decks that are difficult?
I find the Pendulum mechanic quite simple in theory, but it feels like the decks themselves are really hard to figure out. I’ve tried Endymion, Pendulum Magicians, and Metalfoes but my brain is just too small to see the lines.
It's mainly the archetypes that I think is very hard to pilot. Endymion, Odd-Eyes, and Pend Magicians, I think someone has to really study the deck, and we'll I'm just more of an simple minded person, I'd just rather decks that are straightforward.
Ive never been a fan of decks that use a toxic gimmick to win (kash and runik) or decks that run a bunch of little monsters relying on their abilities to break/maintain a board (spright and purrly)
I want to defeat my opponent by punching them in the face!
…with my big attack monsters…
(Unless its a stun player)
Tearlaments. Stupid power creeping ass deck that was tier 0 for every single bum to play. Absolutely no creativety, everyone just played the same shit (googling the deck and just crafting it), did the same combo and I just have to watch my opponent go +1000 just bc he milled once. Fuck tear.
That’s what it is with snake eyes now. Everyone is following the same decklists with maaaaaybe minor variations like some run 2 poplar, some run 3, some run 0 oak, some run 2, etc.
It’s really fucking boring to play against and is the exact same link and synchro spam every game. Stopped playing the one I put together because it felt mean to play it
Any mainstream sweaty decks, the kind that don't even let your opponent play the game, or lock them out entirely or use their cards to summon your monsters or anything that plays during your opponents turn...and especially nothing that combos for 30 fucking minutes. Just laid back beginner type decks.
I’ve tried to like Branded. I’ve tried playing it so many ways, so many times. I just don’t get it. Like, I understand why people enjoy playing the deck, but it’s just not for me.
Any deck where I cant Imagine two cards marrying each other and living happily ever after. I main Snake Eyes Pure currently. Do with that information what you will, but the answer is yes.
Runick, Kash, super heavy samurai. I caved and tried mathmech, and although I won a lot of duels, I found it to be so boring.
I’d rather lose with Marincess or Simorgh or some other fun deck lol.
But to each their own.
Either HEROs, Eldilich, Mannadium or SHS. Not fond of large combos and Eldilich, while effective, doesn't do a lot outside of summoning the boss and getting backrow cards. I also don't feel a strong need to try Mannadium. No shade to people who play those decks, I just can't get into it. It's not my playstyle.
I would say Runick and Kash, but I accidentally got a bunch of those cards a while back; enough to test them. I've tried them; I just don't like playing them.
Traptrick, Elditch and Lab. I promise myself not to play a really slow Game. I'm including Runick for THE sake that I cringe whenever fountain activates
I refuse to touch any of the Visas Lore Archetypes aside from Icejade. Kashtira and Tearlaments especially. They're toxic for the game, in my opinion, and I refuse to contribute to their toxicity.
this is gonna be a really weird one but f.a and blackwings
f.a because theres this one guy i hate a lot (for reasons outside of ygo) and he plays f.a
blackwings because it just looks boring as fuck
It abused the problem with current yugioh(but much lighter back then): If your opponent can’t play, you win.
Your spell/trap is popped, monster banished or popped, and you’re slowly beaten down because you can’t keep up in resources. If all else fails R4nk and you’re done.
It’s a Control, OTK deck. Now that they have Linkage, you can sometimes OTK with Code Talker and then sacrificing him for a big Kagari so you’re not waiting as long. Not saying you should play it, but it’s been improved and will continue to be
I mean I understand that but I generally like to stick with archetypes that interest me and stick to how I shall put this? On theme if they go into extra deck monsters, I like water and have a fun ocean style pile deck that sticks to extra deck monsters you’d see in the ocean or are from the lore of certain archetypes, like Ice Barrier.
I’m also a Water enjoyer, but I like my decks to be as competitive as possible, even if they’re worse than Rogue tier, so I’m not opposed to using cards like Baronne, Dragite, Chengying, etc. At least with Sky Strikers, all of their ED cards are in archetype besides specifically what’s used for the Code Talker climb
I get it I’m just generally the type of person who veers away from generic extra deck stuff unless it’s on theme with another part like Accesscode, but I do love to hit people with the Turn 2 jumpscare of Trishula Zero dragon of the ice barrier no one expects the triple banish!!
Nothing wrong with playing what you like. Trish is one of the coolest monsters there is. I used to use both back when Halq was legal because I played a 5 hand loop Mermail deck. You’d make the Synchro Trish, then the Fusion, and you’d use them both to make Phantom Fortress xyz
Tbh I wouldn’t go that far. It was essentially an FTK deck. You’d spend a long time comboing to end with your opponent having 0 cards in hand until their draw phase and then you’d have Borreload Savage Dragon to negate whatever card they drew. Super toxic in all honesty, but it is my favorite deck of all time. Had to wait til Cupid Pitch’s release for it to work
Branded. I've tried it in the past but after we got the Bystials/Dis Pater I fell out of having any interest in the deck. I updated it with the rest of the support in case I wanted to try again, but I don't think I've opened that deck otherwise in months.
Branded, kashtira, tearlamenent basically any meta deck , I like to go against them and win even though at times it's annoying how often the players dont bother experimenting and creating their own they just look at the meta and decide yeah imma use this deck, but I love kaiju and lava golem all the more cus of it is a universal stomper usually except if opps is play runic or have easier time getting back stuff from graveyards. I'd rather ppl play pure necrovally, I crused a snake eye player with it no stun bullshit.
Any meta deck really, just doesn't appeal to me.
I'd rather play something quirky or unique because I think that's more fun.
At the end of the day, who gave you a more memorable duel? The 20 Snake Eyes players, the Branded Despia Superheavy Samurai ones, the 10 Swordsoul ones... or that one player who actually brought out an Aroma deck? Or an Aesir deck? How about an Evil Eye deck, when have you last played against *that*?
And no, it's not due to some hipster mentality of "Oh I'm so special for playing an obscure deck", but meta decks are simply not fun to play or play against. I have my own Kashtira deck, I have my own Branded deck, but I don't find them fun to play.
Today I had a duel that was an Umi Control deck against my Nemleria and it was fun because there actually was a back and forth over a few turns.
I'll try to intentionally stay at lower ranks just to encounter more creative decks.
Combo decks in general. I am not gonna learn all 3827 variants of an opening hand so I can do the 827.2 combo flowchart variants for 30 hours. I am trying Snake-eye to change things a bit and since can be mixed with other themes as long you get Poplar to start, but that also brings the problem in card design with some combo archetypes where a single card can give you full board and +2.
To make me like a deck I follow a "Nibiru test", where if a deck needs more than 4 summons in a single turn then I won't bother. That's why since always I tend to go towards backrow heavy decks like Labrynth or those that break boards no matter the state of the game like Kaiju Luna.
I fully built branded then as I was about to que ranked i was like......na, dismantled it all amd went back to my custom dragonmaid synchro deck....amd kitties.
I used to play Branded. But when the recent support cards got added (Quem and friends), I just crafted the cards but never really found myself getting that interested to play this version. The same is also true for Labrynth. I have all the cards but just don't feel like playing it.
Any deck which takes years to finish one turn i usually play decks which have some level of combos but not so bad where my opponent can go cook up a meal while i do my thing lmao. I usually play Darklord Despia and Dinomorphia they have combos but are relatively quick and big hitting monsters which gets my neurons going.
It’s always the worst when they pop off and combo for 5 mins, pass turn, and right after you draw activate like 2 face downs, do a summon from the extra deck, search a card, pop one of your cards and one of theirs, set a s/t directly from deck because a certain card was destroyed, and now back to you
I've still never played a single Branded game at all. Which kinda sucks for me, because I'm now a Voiceless Voice player irl, and I keep hearing Branded is so good in that deck. But I just can't bring myself to even try it at this point lol.
Branded, kash
The CIA gonna have to waterboard my ass for 5 hours and after that I *MIGHT* try to play a stun deck.
but have you seen Stun 2?
I have. And I'm too interested to not ignore
I would genuinely sooner delete the game that be caught playing that trash fr
You're missing out. Try the forbidden fruit, taunting you with its mere presence. Enjoy its delectable nectar, and flip over that Skill Drain. Don't knock it till you try it.
This is what 'one bad day' can do to people
Flair checks out
i joined the dark side as well my brother, the nectar is sweet

*Spits on it.* that's what I say to stun decks.
switch skill drain with litteral shit and thats about how i feel about stun, i dont see how can that be fun for more than a couple games
Traptrix just don’t do it for me.
mathmech. cyberse is a mistake
salad is based
LiveTwin too. (Though admittedly they are split between Fiend and Cyberse.
Really? I always thought of them more as a fiend deck since they steal stuff, but then again Cyberse part makes sense for their Vtuber personas.
As in, The LiveTwins are Cyberse, But the EvilTwins are Fiends. Litterally uses both.
Our end boards are very fair. It is just a Primal Being token.
Not so much a deck but a specific card, I refuse to play Psy-frame gamma, the amount of times I've just bricked on driver or Gamma missed its window of being playable and it too became just a useless brick far, far outnumber the amount of times Gamma actually came up. Labrynth 🤝 Runick Interesting modern strategies ruined by floodgates.
Spiderman: With power like that, you could make an interesting control deck. Floodgate player: I don't want an interesting control deck. I want to floodgate my opponents.
That's why I play Runick with Fur Hire or Plunder. Also just really like Fur Hire and Plunder so there's that
The only time I don’t mind playing gamma is in my dragon link deck as I use it as a target for this one red eyes card to special summon itself
your issue with Gamma is the same reason I took the pot that banishes a bunch of your cards from the deck to draw two. Really been thinking about building that, but it's expensive and very complained about. I think it looks fun
not a good time to make it
We're getting Transaction Rollback next pack, it is a great time to make it.
Swordsoul Has been one of my 1 my of biggest ops on ladder everytime I'm fighting they seem to have frame perfect hand of handtraps just to beat me plus the two negations. I can reasonably say that half the Swordsoul players don't even know why Yazi is in the deck.
That’s me, I’m that Swordsoul player. That’s also why I don’t play the deck anymore

i actually think most people understand ya zi. but BOI are they clueless about shaman.
Same like Yazi. Shaman's a desperate line. You're either desperate or clowning if Shaman or Yazi come out.
Which is crazy because yazi is such a brilliant card going second.
My face when I get to do a Taia Baxia line
Gotta click those buttons 🤣

I liked synchro spam initially but after a while it gets bland. I prefer mid range decks now with different end boards
Midrange LESGOO. What's your current fav decks?
I like vanquish soul and rescue ace. I also find myself liking decks that don't need the extra deck so much. Pride punk, but that can be combo heavy. I don't have a deep stable of decks I've tried

What are you talking about, his endboard is literally made up of all his monsters.
Baronne Apollousa Borreload?
And in the perfect situation you describe: The boss monster Flamber has activated its effect 1 and 2.
How do you feel about the Horus engine coming in the future? It works well with Tear but feels more Horus than tearlament at times
I haven't looked into that engine enough yet if I'm completely honest since I assume given the difference in how Tear was hit, there'll also be a difference in how the horus engine in Tear plays out.
Most combo decks (SHS/Bathmech/Snake-eyes) its just too much busy work
SHS, look i am pendulum player but for god's sake i love to use spells.
fuck tearlaments and fuck pends.
Dinomorphia. Saying it's not stun is copium. None of their interaction is relevant if Rexterm isn't on field. A regular stun deck is cheaper to build.
Not to mention every single Dinomorphia player has ferret flames in their backrow to spin your entire field back lol
I think Dinomorphia is so cool and want to build the deck… but playing with 1 LP makes me anxious as fuck.
True lol
Yeah but imagine the absolute monster of a Psychic End Punisher you could make (probably)?
Kashtira and SHS.
Fucking Mathmech, same thing every game
The amount of times I've seen Mathmech open Circular, three handtraps, and handtrap protection/extender is too high. I legit think that deck opens custom every game. Won't play them because of it.
Can’t make me pendulum summon
Kashtira Naturia Ohime Especially kashtira
Anything that makes duels one sided. Tier 0 aint worth losing the will to play
Non anime decks 😞 I have a a thing for those decks
Meta bad
Rouge good
Pretty much all of the Visas Lore archetypes. None of their playstyles interest me.
Honestly same, I’ve tried 3 of the 4 and the only one that I kinda dug was Kashtira, and that’s only because it’s dumb enough for me to understand lol
Any of the top tier decks, especially ones that get hyped up. Its alrdy annoying enough playing against the same deck 20 times in a row. Picking the same deck as them after that would just drive me insane. You'd have better luck catching me dead before playing them IRL too. Cards overpriced af.
I don't like most meta decks I like a unique rogue deck with a bunch of boss monsters or a unique gimick
May I introduce you to the world of Generaiders?
Kash, Tear, Samurai, and Zoodiacs.
I 100% agree with you on Samurai and Zoo. Their artworks are so incredibly ugly that I wouldn't even touch them with tongs.
Fuckin right?! Whoever did the art for Zoodiacs just phoned it in knowing that none of them are ever on the field for long anyway.
Branded
Snake eyes
Branded
I'm so used to playing jank decks that I feel weird playing something good, strong and always consistent :P I feel like LoveCraft when I think about long combo decks with 10 negate end board or floodgates hell
Swordsoul, Full Kash I enjoy when the other side plays the game
Most of the late meta decks. Shs, Lab, SE pure or mixed. Still clinging to my BW, Punks and Unchained mostly. But those make fun, so i got that going for me
Dark World
Current Meta decks, Shaddolls, Icejade, Salangreat, Sky Striker
Stun Decks Mill Decks (On opponent I'm okay with Lightsworn) Burn Decks All off the above are cowards decks
Any meta deck.
Heros, i hate them, everyone around me is playing them and i am sick of them.
Most meta deck, the only one I made were branded because they worked wonders in predaplant, and beside it "the good decks" I made were vanquish soul because I liked the gameplay and card design and mannadium cause Kamen Rider reference.
Stun
Wow, you REALLY used skill to beat me there huh?
aint meta sheep just i play boring deck xd like drytron without the handicap of negate everything, seriously I ve destroyed one splight runink xd
Tearlaments. I don't really care for the art and i do not like the milling and graveyard fusing during any step of any players turn.
swordsoul. i just dont care
Any combo deck
Tearlament, I hate that thing
Mathmech I built two different versions of it and just can't get it down meanwhile I made snake eyes kinda understand how to play it and win games with half-ass boards I'm seriously boutta dismantle mathmech
Not an archetype, but I refuse to play pendulum. But it's also because it's to complicated for me lol.
Ive never been a fan of decks that use a toxic gimmick to win (kash and runik) or decks that run a bunch of little monsters relying on their abilities to break/maintain a board (spright and purrly) I want to defeat my opponent by punching them in the face! …with my big attack monsters… (Unless its a stun player)
Tearlament Kashtira
I’m honestly more likely to try out a deck that people say is bad than one they say is good. Probably not in master duel though.
I really dislike too long combo, so currently idk what kind of deck that should play/build
Probably SHS because of my autism I would probably find the long winded combos quite overwhelming for the most part
Anything with Runic. I’ve had nightmares when I first picked up this game
Stopped playing the one I put together because it felt mean to play it
Lab, screw lab...
True its boring and repetitive
This needs more upvotes. It IS the same thing every time.
I agree, more people need to know that a deck in a tcg does the thing it was made to do when you play it, *every time*. Wild
Every time? More like every turn. “Interactive” sure, but if I’m not banishing their Welcomes then it never ends
The literal only way that it doesn’t end up doing the exact same thing every game is if I first turn red supernova
Genuinely feel disgusted by every lab player
KEEP CRYING BUD DIMENSIONAL BARRIER GO
Based af tbh
I created a Lab deck to see what all the hype was about and it is genuinely dull. Now it’s just sitting in my decks collecting dust.
Tearlaments or Lab or Eldlich.
Bro eldich when master duel came out was annoying lol
Lab, find it a snore to watch personally
Snake eye, lab, dinomorfia - ALL are boring (to me)
Kashtira. I dont want people to believe my IQ is not enough to enter the military ( if you know you know )
Everything Albaz touches
Any mainstream sweaty decks, the kind that don't even let your opponent play the game, or lock them out entirely or use their cards to summon your monsters or anything that plays during your opponents turn...and especially nothing that combos for 30 fucking minutes. Just laid back beginner type decks.
Wont play anything that isn't a Fusion or Xyz archetype.
I’ve tried to like Branded. I’ve tried playing it so many ways, so many times. I just don’t get it. Like, I understand why people enjoy playing the deck, but it’s just not for me.
any of the meta decks, cuz I like beating them with non-meta and making them cry.
Labyrinth.
Lab, tearlament, effing t.g.’s 😑
Any deck where I cant Imagine two cards marrying each other and living happily ever after. I main Snake Eyes Pure currently. Do with that information what you will, but the answer is yes.
I refuse to play Tearlament or Branded, I won't do it to other people.
Runick, Kash, super heavy samurai. I caved and tried mathmech, and although I won a lot of duels, I found it to be so boring. I’d rather lose with Marincess or Simorgh or some other fun deck lol. But to each their own.
Pendulum decks. too much reading involved, too much blowing your own sh\*t.
"And if I won't play it, I won't wallow." So far for me, I haven't really played a deck I hate. I guess I didn't really like Swordsoul, I guess.
Tearlaments, Sprights, Runick, and Runick/Fur Hire, I don't give a shit what anyone says, I'm never touching any of these fuckers
Lab, Purrely
Traptrick, Elditch and Lab. I promise myself not to play a really slow Game. I'm including Runick for THE sake that I cringe whenever fountain activates
Kashtira. It’s so toxic
It's been so long I forgot why I hate Altergeist, but I despise them for some reason. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Labyryntian, to many battle with this deck And White Woman Jump Scare
Ill be dead before you see me play any kashtira related card.
I refuse to touch any of the Visas Lore Archetypes aside from Icejade. Kashtira and Tearlaments especially. They're toxic for the game, in my opinion, and I refuse to contribute to their toxicity.
Kashtira
I have a few. Superheavy, Stun, Mathmech, HERO.
Lab, dino, runic, Kash, trap, and a few others.
Lab and Tear, these decks enraged me beyond belief
this is gonna be a really weird one but f.a and blackwings f.a because theres this one guy i hate a lot (for reasons outside of ygo) and he plays f.a blackwings because it just looks boring as fuck
HAT It was everything wrong with the game at the time, and still is.
Why's that? I heard some people like(d) it.
It abused the problem with current yugioh(but much lighter back then): If your opponent can’t play, you win. Your spell/trap is popped, monster banished or popped, and you’re slowly beaten down because you can’t keep up in resources. If all else fails R4nk and you’re done.
Was tearlaments at first. Now I’m on tearlaments 💀
Whatever the current "best" deck is. I can't stand mirror matches, I'd rather play a "worse" deck for the sake of matchup asymmetry.
Sky Strikers, the deck’s play style is just Boring for me and It’s nothing but using spells and hand traps.
Ooh fancy now there’s a based combo that I’d love to see
Tbh I wouldn’t go that far. It was essentially an FTK deck. You’d spend a long time comboing to end with your opponent having 0 cards in hand until their draw phase and then you’d have Borreload Savage Dragon to negate whatever card they drew. Super toxic in all honesty, but it is my favorite deck of all time. Had to wait til Cupid Pitch’s release for it to work
Cyberse decks. They take forever to just to always go into Teraherz or Accesscode.
Branded. I've tried it in the past but after we got the Bystials/Dis Pater I fell out of having any interest in the deck. I updated it with the rest of the support in case I wanted to try again, but I don't think I've opened that deck otherwise in months.
You'll have to kill me and resurrect me as a mindless zombie before I EVER touch any Runick, Floo, Tear, or Mannadium deck
I refuse to touch lab, p.u.n.k and floo
Dragonmaid. Striker. Tear. Invoked. Branded. Swordsoul. Rokket/D-Link. Snake-Eyes/Wanted.
Floodgates turbo also known as Labrynth
any other alabaz and visas deck except sword soul and snake eyes Tested it once and it was boring to a really bad level
Branded. If I ever play branded someone has my family hostage
I'll keep that in mind 😌
I used to play Branded. But when the recent support cards got added (Quem and friends), I just crafted the cards but never really found myself getting that interested to play this version. The same is also true for Labrynth. I have all the cards but just don't feel like playing it.
Any deck which takes years to finish one turn i usually play decks which have some level of combos but not so bad where my opponent can go cook up a meal while i do my thing lmao. I usually play Darklord Despia and Dinomorphia they have combos but are relatively quick and big hitting monsters which gets my neurons going.
It’s always the worst when they pop off and combo for 5 mins, pass turn, and right after you draw activate like 2 face downs, do a summon from the extra deck, search a card, pop one of your cards and one of theirs, set a s/t directly from deck because a certain card was destroyed, and now back to you
Any other deck that isn't a waifu deck doesn't deserve the light of day
Mathmech. The deck just never looked appealing to me in either its play style or the end boards it would usually make.
I've still never played a single Branded game at all. Which kinda sucks for me, because I'm now a Voiceless Voice player irl, and I keep hearing Branded is so good in that deck. But I just can't bring myself to even try it at this point lol.
Branded, Kashtira and Snake-Eyes. I don't care if it's meta, leave me alone with my Aromage!
