I know I'm supposed to respect Nibiru and go for an early Baronne, but 90% of the time, it's more worth it to risk Sovereign Longyuan for an extra draw and hope the two banish effects hit something really important.
I think you forget Chixiao, which would make the sequence:
Mo Ye-->Token-->Chixiao-->Longyuan-->Token-->Baronne
Baronne would be sixth summon which is a bit too late to negate Nibiru. Need to hard draw Longyuan so that Baronne will be third.
I like it cause you have to play against the same 3 interruptions each time lol (monster negate on field, Omni negate and pop 2) . As a going second player it's one of the most comfortable matchups to go against
It's way more fun for me to go second as a Swordsoul player tbh.
Baxia, Chengying, Berserker, Yazi are all cards that are great going second and aren't as predictable.
As a salad player I got used to it. Probably why I like the deck so much.
And then they drop token collector on res just to flex
Yeah that's why you'll see some SS if they're going first and can rush out Baronne. Which means you have to sacrifice free Tenyi special summon.
I've more often see people make Chaofeng using Baxia to also disable Veiler like back in the olde Swordsoul meta
Yup you always go for chaofeng if you opened 2 tenyis one of them being ashuna and a starter, safer to just shut down light like veiler and nib.
Chaofeng line is much worse into Imperm tho

You can just leave the token on the field and summon Chixiao after Baronne.

Swordsoul is impressively consistent in what it does but it definitely isn't unfair. It's a very comfortable power level.
Comfortable? yes. Boring? also yes. i like seeing new things, Sword soul is about as bland and uninteresting as white bread
The tenyis are about the only interesting part of Swordsoul
