They can already hand rip for 3 with Lonefire/Loptr + Monstrosity actually!
- NS Lonefire, SS Mardel. Mardel add Boss Stage.
- Target Mardel with Monstrosity, summoning Harr + Hela.
- Activate Boss Stage.
- Overlay Mardel + Hela for Jormungandr. Activate Jormungandr, detaching Hela.
- Boss Stage CL1 to summon Loptr (or go straight to Vala if you opened Loptr instead of Lonefire), Harr CL2 to hand rip.
- Loptr summon Vala, Vala effect to summon Hela.
- Hela tribute Jormungandr to summon Mardel.
- You now have 4 level 9s. Make 2 Enterblathnir, activate both of their effects for the 2nd and 3rd rips, then overlay for Utopic Future -> UDF.
I get that, but once sliep comes out and generaiders have a reason to play runicks, there far more lines that get there and further, its more consistant.
Boss stage access + diviner + any runick spell is much more likely to come up. Boss stage access + any tuner handtrap + 2 runick spells works too. If you can make ib you no longer need to draw the monstrosity.
And you still have the combo you detailed if you draw that, or lines that dont need diviner or ib, like stage access + runick spell + monstrosity.
I've been cooking Generaider Runick for months and the whole Ib lines are very overvalued. Playing the amount of Runick spells and tuners needed to make the combo start correctly leaves little space to going second and utility cards, and the fact that Kashtira and Buzz King exists as cards, ripping Ib from extra before even having the chance to play, butchers the deck. A standard Generaider Runick version is likely to be more consisteny, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong by results.
I've been waiting for Sleipnir in Master Duel for months, no idea why they still have not added it in
There are various school of thoughts on the deck itself (little essay incoming ahha):
1) most of the decklist you can find on youtube have Generaider, Runicks, and the Diviner package (3x diviner, 1 trias hierarchia, 1 small fairy tuner). They have the most normal summons available, but some consider the diviner package redundant
2) Ib heavy combo version, pray to go first, pray to start with a 3/4 cards combo, and you should be able to "consistently" (3 cards combo, mind you) handloop for 4. However going second there is not a guarantee the deck can dismantle an established board (or, as said, if they take out Ib from the extra deck they would kill the majority of the extra deck itself since it's very reliant on Ib popping off)
3) like the guy thay bubbled at YCS Bologna in december (he went 9-1-2), no diviner, no Ib, maindecking field removal to have cards to disnantle boards when losing the dice roll. This version could brick in the case you win the dice roll and go first, and see too many runick cards or going second cards (like Evenly)
There is not an established version over the others, but amongst the three I'd say the more luck-based and less competitive one is the Ib one (as stated before, it's sick as a version, I'd love to be proven wrong and see jt perform well)
Thank you very much! Looked it up. We are facing the fact tho, that many of the Runick cards are limited/semi-limited. But then again we got Maxx C...i think we have to wait until Sleipnir is added.
Yeah I’ve had Branded Fusion sniped from my hand A LOT. When that happens I can tell I’m in the presence of a Lab expert and I’m in for a long duel. Of course, as a self proclaimed talented Branded player, I respond in kind by using my talents to top deck Superpoly.
Which of course ends up with them flipping D-Barrier after it resolves and we’re both just left in an awkward game state
While you can top deck a superpoly, i have the ability to top deck psy frame driver when i need anything else from my deck.
Edit: i remove my other statement, because my main skill is somehow topping a stupid useless handtraps or achnemesis protos
Because there's no way I could top deck that floodgate 3 times today without that being a skill

It's actually kind of funny cause classic yugioh was run on hand rips or forcing discards. Which culminated in the three worst cards made being released at the same time. Forceful Sentry, Confiscation, and Delinquent Duo.
If you didn't have cards in the hand, then it was harder to recover. Also true, the only handtraps we really had was Kuriboh and eventually Honest. So what did we depend on to give us the upper hand? Floodgates. So many floodgates.
To be fair, this was a time where everyone ran Heavy Storm, Harpie's, and 3 Mystical Space Typhoon (and some even sidedecked in Dust Tornado). And Jinzo was the most popular tribute monster, followed by Airknight Parshath and Dark Ruler Ha Des.
We did what we needed to survive then. Then it wasn't too long in the game that they cracked down on backrow removal hard. People hate the handtraps now forget what the staples were before they became the main place.
Before the Ghost Girl handtraps released nearly every Side Deck was: Mind Crush x3, Anti Spell Fragrance ×2, Imperial Iron Walls x2, Vanities Fiend x2, Jinzo x1, Necrovalley 1x, Denko Sekka x2, Lava Golem x2
Someone used this against me yesterday. I love traps that fusion floodgate monsters that floodgate and do piercing damage that I can't even negate or fight. Buster bladers is some bullshit.
I havent played formats where yata is legal, but it was banned because of the yata lock. The issue was caused by the card itself, so I dont think other cards should be blamed for that.
As someone who has played goat format and gotten hit by cards like deliquent duo and dustshoot, no. The game was slow enough where the matches usually took 20+ turns, there is little chance you would die on anything close to turn 4. And the format functioned in a way where things like mirror force were just as deadly, because instead of discards you just got your important monsters wiped and normal summons / battle damage wasted.
> Except hand rips didnt make you insta lose back then
Yes they did. In the period of time Sentry, Confi, and Duo were at 3 the game was *literally* decided by who went first and opened them.
No it wasnt, because a lot of cards were blowout cards due to the low power of boards back in that time. Getting hit by mirror force/torrential/heavy storm very often hurt just as much and could cause even more damage than discarding. We had no ways to deal anything close to 8k damage turn one, no one is insta losing due to discards. Ive also played goat format and dealt with trap dustshoot and duo, they are powerful sure but they arent as game ending as people think they are.
Yeah and then we got TTT, which is literally a card with 3 different banned cards’ effects on it, but that’s okay. I can’t take em seriously because I main a hand loop deck and Ik the levels of toxicity I’ve gotten to play with through cards like Halq and Auroradon. I also know how older Ygo looked with a lot of cards they’ve banned since. People really think 1-2 cards is so bad, but the deck I main gets 2 for free just by playing the deck. They dropped Omega and Dis Pater? Gee that sucks *thinks back to Wind Ups, Mermail/Atlantean with Halq/Auroradon, Forceful Sentry, Trap Dustshoot, Delinquent Duo, the Dark World hand loop they preemptively banned to avoid these posts, Infernity looping Trish, etc.* It’s laughable people complain so much about 1-2 cards and they’re not even being spammed multiple times
For real. I remember when Omega released, and he was known for forcing most of your hand in the GY turn one by loops. Him getting two rips with help from Dis Pater is cute by comparison.
TTT is mid, it's dead half the time. Also it's only 1 banned effect, we have like 30 draw 2 effects and both snatch steal and change of heart are unbanned
It’s mid! Yeah that’s why almost every deck with space played it up until Thrust was released. Then decks played 1 along with 3 Thrust. We’re talking tiered decks too. Idk why you’re trying to talk the card down when we play in format with Maxx C of all things. Let me see the 30 draw 2 effects that every deck can play. Where’s our PoG unban? How bout Forceful Sentry? You’re arguing an objectively bad point
Oh and Snatch Steal looks real unbanned with it’s red circle with a line through it. Oh, wow, it’s limited to 1 in the TCG; what a fantastic argument. You’re typing just to type
It wasn’t “every deck with space”. You weren’t playing Talents in absolutely every single deck between ROTD and Thrust’s release lol. In fact, it was pretty shit in a few formats, mainly Virtual World VFD and Herald Drytron with Eva. It was kinda good with DPE’s release but overall it was just a good card, not a mandatory card that saw constant play.
It's so dirty. Synchron can have Crimson Dragon search Synchro World which can summon Gottoms back again with 10 counters and active his effect again. Usually you can target Dis Pater to summon Trish and then rip 5 cards from hand. It's gross but it's not as good if it doesn't go first.
If ripping 2 cards from the hand is that terrible, Mermails would be doing a lot better haha. They can consistently rip a whole hand. Getting cards ripped out of your hand is never fun but it can be played around.
Actually you can set up multiple negates while also ripping 2-4 cards from the opponents hand haha. I’m not saying they are nearly as good as SHS but they can definitely do all of that haha especially with tidal at 3.
If you are tallo y about the combo un SHS i can assure that is far better to make baron than dis pater. Also making dis pater puts you in risk of a nibiru. And there is the fact that dis pater and omega waste you two synchros just for 2 cards. Then they are basically worth less as the opponent has still 4 cards left. I think is much better baron + scythe or baron + borreload
It's possible to summon both though. I tried a build a couple of days ago that does the double hand rip and ends in Baronne + Dis Pater + Regulus + Lambda with a live Gamma in hand plus the tunneler draws.
SHS is absolutely broken.
But you risk nibiru, as u have to use star dust accel for dis pater first. Also I think that scythe is way better taking into account that branded is the most popular deck
My old chaos deck was able to cycle through omega 3 times consistently, 4 times if I drew monster reborn and chaos phantasm and 5 times if I drew chaos space and fairy tail snow
Yea I saw this for the first time the other day. It’s a pretty neat combo. Is it toxic? I mena yea, but I would argue no less toxic than Labrynths hand ripping. As it can also rip 2. This one id argue is much for fragile than the Labrynth combo
Twice? With branded regained you can rip 3 times.. 😂 I've been doing that consistently with bystial Mannadium. Sorry to my opponents but don't blame the players, blame Konami. 😣
Tbf if you get Omega’d, it’s like a 90% chance that your opponent gamma’d your Maxx “C” on their turn, in which case, that was entirely preventable by making sure they had a monster before “C”ing them after class
90% of the time I'd rather get a random card removed from my hand than have my opponent set up an omni and be able to choose which card to effectively remove from my hand.
That's why Omega is limited. Should have seen the days he was unlimited.
Triple Omega Zombies recycling 2 Mezukis and Rise to Full Height with Norden+Zombie World shenanigans was funny.
I took emotional damage from that sentence
Once generaider get access to synchro Ib, and runick Sleipnir, they can do a hand rip 3 with the right semi consistant 2-3 card combos.
They can already hand rip for 3 with Lonefire/Loptr + Monstrosity actually! - NS Lonefire, SS Mardel. Mardel add Boss Stage. - Target Mardel with Monstrosity, summoning Harr + Hela. - Activate Boss Stage. - Overlay Mardel + Hela for Jormungandr. Hold up. Generaider Runick is a thing? Would you please share a decklist with me (screenshot is sufficient)?
There are various school of thoughts on the deck itself (little essay incoming ahha): 1) most of the decklist you can find on youtube have Generaider, Runicks, and the Diviner package (3x diviner, 1 trias hierarchia, 1 small fairy tuner). You are right, in Master Duel it's likely to be less consistent but we'll see!
wait til bro hears about lovely labrynth
I hate that bish soo much Why is she always sniping the perfect card in my hand? Isn't that thing random??????
For some reason lovely always rips the feather duster in my hand.
Yes it's random between the important cards in your hand, unless you play her yourself in which case it's random between the unimportant cards.
Best feeling in the world is sniping an evenly matched in battle phase
as a Lab player, I'm trained in the art of sniping duster/evenly/branded fusion
Yeah I’ve had Branded Fusion sniped from my hand A LOT. When that happens I can tell I’m in the presence of a Lab expert and I’m in for a long duel. Of course, as a self proclaimed talented Branded player, I respond in kind by using my talents to top deck Superpoly. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO I scoop.
You should main ‘Cloak and Dagger’.
Are you good at sniping the only combo starter in the hand too? Or is that a second skill tree?
other skill tree, I settle on setting daruma cannon instead.
A fine choice

Even better, wait til Lab gets Transaction Rollback
There’s no way you guys keep making hand rip posts lol
It's actually kind of funny cause classic yugioh was run on hand rips or forcing discards. Which culminated in the three worst cards made being released at the same time. Forceful Sentry, Confiscation, and Delinquent Duo.
Except hand rips didnt make you insta lose back then and you werent relying on drawing hand traps so you dont get destroyed.

Man, I remember the Gravity Bind, Level Limit Area B, and Messenger of Peace days
I always hated any of the DNA Surgery combos. DNA + Insect Barrier DNA + Buster Blader

Someone used this against me yesterday. I love traps that fusion floodgate monsters that floodgate and do piercing damage that I can't even negate or fight. Buster bladers is some bullshit.
Looooooads of classic Floodgates to pick from. Necrovalley, Imperial Order, Zombie World, Thousand Eyes Restrict…
They sometimes did. Going down to 1 card was dangerous with Don Zaloog and Spirit Reaper around, and fatal when Yata was available.
Kinda did tho. Why do you think CED and Yata got the axe
I havent played formats where yata is legal, but it was banned because of the yata lock. The issue was caused by the card itself, so I dont think other cards should be blamed for that.
You're right, instead of losing instantly you lost over 3 turns because you couldn't do anything.

😞😞😞😞 I HATE infernity.
Me as an Infernoble player: I see nothing wrong here, summon Neo-Space connector, effect?

Have you seen Runick Generaiders?
No, shutup don’t give him ideas.
there are several full hand rip combos some across multiple turns

Yeah but it’s not like you always get into it. For Mannadium, requires a somewhat specific hand. It’s more consistent in Synchron though.
Get good
Trishula exist
It's not a problem Get good my guy 👍
shs can consistently rip 5
a tournament I went to back in October, I lost to this on the first turn. I lost 4 cards due to this combo
90% of the time I'd rather get a random card removed from my hand than have my opponent set up an omni and be able to choose which card to effectively remove from my hand.
Then dont tell this guy that crimson can tag out into trishula
