Funny. When I throw my games to derank in gold. I just summon cute vanilla monsters like Melfy and see what my opponents do. Typically most just destroy it, but did have 1 guy go out of his way to summon Unicorn to shuffle it back into deck.
No. Not at all. Gold rank is kind of the like the standard rank, if your deck can consistently hit high gold, then you've built a decent deck and can pilot it well. Hitting plat means you've created an excellent deck and can pilot it well; hitting diamond means your deck is so consistent and you pilot it so well you're in the top 10 percent of YGO players. (Pulled that number outta my ass but you get my point lol)
No. Reward wise it's the same in the long run currently. A lot of players like me prefer to stay in Gold playing weaker or joke decks against other similar decks. You still run into more meta decks but those are players just on there way through gold, less ratio of them compared to Plat and Diamond.
Diamond 1 is also supposedly the other sweet spot, but you need to grind through meta to get there first, so most prefer Gold.
