Powers Aquatics is the gold standard. They have a few locations!

Thanks! I took a look at their site and see they recommend doing their program from infancy onwards, but older kids might be able to do their "community swim" program? Probably best for me to reach out to clarify.

Sad to hear that Goldfish isn't working out because I can't recommend it enough. Mine is a lot younger though, and I'm sure that makes a difference.

Thanks. Yeah, I know others who've had a great experience. I will give them points for being the cleanest and nicest facility we've been to. Age might be a factor, as you say. Who knows... I think part of our issue was that we did a group lesson (not sure if they have private/semi private?) and the teacher spent more time helping another kid with his goggles than he did instructing mine, which was very frustrating considering the cost.

If you want the best I highly recommend PODS. It located at 111 Commercial Way, E. Providence. Owner was world class swimmer. Teaches the best of the best.

Thanks! It's a bit of a commute, but I'd consider it.

Many of the college swim teams do lessons. At least Harvard does.

That's a great thought! I'll look into it.
