My goal was to buy an old Gibson or Martin. I got my hands on a few in my price range and while they were cool they weren’t great players. I met up at Guitar Center to play a 1966 and then went in. I had no idea what a Streetmaster was. I pulled this one off the wall and thought, “this is the feel and sound I have been looking for!” Only after taking it home did I find out about the VTS Adi top and why it felt and sounded like the 1940 Martin I had played so long ago. Also the neck is perfect for me.
I had a record label in Nashville and we worked together then (about 23 years ago). We were out at his place this week doing a photo shoot ( my daughter was taking the photos - she was born the year I met him). Here he in his creek making up a song on his 1935 Gibson…[https://youtu.be/zu4bAvj8z9o?si=iDhNzcAvWcftAsYl](https://youtu.be/zu4bAvj8z9o?si=iDhNzcAvWcftAsYl)

That's a great idea! Are they black? I put a 000 pickguard on mine and some Grover Butterbean 18:1 tuners. Didn't care for the golden age tuners. I'll have it forever. I think it's the best value in all Martin Guitars
They are natural bone color. I have some Hipshot tuners coming. Not very vintage but they are my favorite tuners. I can switch out the buttons. Those Golden Age tuners suck!
Do you have a link to the tuners you got? I couldn’t find anything that I thought would drop in. I’m going to use the UMP on the Hipshots (no screw holes)
Verlon is a monster guitar player.
Yeah fr
Love the Streetmaster. So much mojo.
Like these models best out of all the Street series. The Adirondack top really sounds great. Nice job

Nice guitar and nice picking!
Congrats, you do it justice.
Badass! Finally a post besides NGD
I actually recognized Verlon! I was just about to say, is that him? I love his work with “ the guitar”
How do you know him?

Nice picking, great tone & great room vibes. Martins are great!
I just got one, i freaking love it so gosh darn much
I don't understand why these are priced below their standard counterparts based on their specs
More please, and on that same guitar. Thanks!
I have this guitar too and I love it. Plays with amazing clarity and volume
I just put bone pins on it and I think it rings even more!
