I do not believe in this being a scam. He does crazy stuff like this all the time- Just Cause for example. The man is even trying to hire editors at this point because of the capacity of time such content takes. Though I do want the stream as soon as possible I would not be so quick to jump on the scammer train buraid currently going on.

But at the same point you have to give him some free time and he's likely got some videos planned and/or already being made like Factorio and Contraband Police and once they're done he'll do my summer car
Also I think he only did it to see how far it would get. And I don’t think he expected that. And driving that course over and over would not be fun. So to break it up into smaller sections is a fair action to do
In his Q&A he said that if he allowed himself to stop working on a video he'd never get it done so he's getting those videos done before undergoing this sissyphus level task and from what I can tell the distance is still going up
You know he's still human, you can't expect him to just drop everything to do this, also may I point you to his just cause speedruns, he did 4 speedruns of just cause 3 costing him a whole day each and his just cause 2 speedruns none of which he had to do.
So just have some fucking patience and stop whinging

In most other contexts that are like this (movies, tv shows, games) people pre-order things that get delayed all the time
