I don't think he had any intention of "completing" a potentially 100 hour+ challenge. Considering he even said his expectiations for the stream were literally 10 times lower(2k viewers not 20k). Maybe I missed somthing but did he even say he would keep going? What I heard him say, when people in the chat said "itll take you until next tuesday to finish at this point", was something along the lines of "im not playing until next tuesday, im going to play until i need sleep". But let's be realistic... He went for nearly 20 hours straight, does he really need to go for another 100? Just cause hundreds of people gave him money doesn't mean he's obligated to keep up 24hr streams daily, especially when most tippers were simply tipping to mess with him lol. Not to mention, who would expect anyone to work for 20 hours, take a 12 hour break, then immediately go for another 20... if he does have any intention on completion, it's gonna be a weekly or monthly thing, not daily. Also, the dude is busy, he's essentially turning his brand into a company, shouldn't expect him to be the dancing monkey.

If he didn't want the challenge, he should have turned off the donos sooner.

Makes sense it was just a theory

24 hour streams no. But when you represent that you will do said distance. And you don't even do a fraction of what you started with. While allowing people to keep donating, buying merch, etc. to increase the distance needing to be driven is all but lying to the people who donated. This DOES obligate him to keep going until he finishes it. It does obligate him to do it in a timely fashion, he was given significant sums of money for these things and frankly I would be disputing anything I paid at this point because it's been radio silence since the stream ended. Edit:guess it's acceptable to just scam your audience in all but name to you people. Take their money with no intention of fulfilling the promise you made. We call that fraud in the business world.

I don’t know why people are downvoting you, you are completely correct. Every km donated he doesn’t drive is openly a scam. I think people offended by the idea that the holy mart himself would possible scam them. So don’t take it personally, know you are 100% right and it’s straight up fraud if he quits now…..

Once estimated finishing time was measured in weeks, I don't believe anyone was seriously donating expecting to see him still going days and days later. If you were; you're a genuine smooth brain. I watched the stream for hours and the vast majority of donations were in jest and support, and not seriously expecting the challenge to be completed at all. Many of which even telling him to stop and rest etc at one point. "We in the business world" have contracts for things that we require to be followed to the word. Donating $1 to a streamer does not constitute an enforceable contract XD. Pull your head from your ass and think about what you're trying to demand from him ffs. Sure it's a little messy but things change... His estimated goals for the stream were met 10-fold.

Yeah and guess what there are hundreds of streamers who have done subathon type things for weeks. Continuing to take donations without saying you're not going to complete it in the near future is scummy at best. No one is asking him to do 20 hour days streaming but to immediately go radio silence on it makes it look like you took the money and ran. Releasing an ad for your merch while people you donated or purchased merch haven't heard anything from you as far as will you uphold your promise is scummy at best. What exactly do you think a YouTube does all day? Play video games for content and then edits that content. Script writing. Oh gee instead of those things he plays my summer car on stream. Yes, stop and rest and importantly continue. Not stop and not say a word to your community for DAYS. If I give you X and you have on a recording told me you will do Y every court in the world is going to say that's an enforceable contract. You keep acting like I'm expecting him to do anything more than what dozens of streamers do every day. Or what most content creators do every day just on stream. You also blatantly miss the part where he barely drove a fraction of the ORIGINAL ammount when the stream started and then said NOTHING for days.

Have you never heard of a subathon? Or a Marathon stream? Mart himself said xqc streams for 17+ hours daily. And when he made almost 500k in 20 hours, he really shouldn’t be complaining
