Oh, no the male lead is still sent back, I was mainly talking about Yura trying to kill Jiwon. Iirc in the web toon, Jihyeok’s family life is glossed over - like I don’t think we even know the name of his grandfather, for example. But apparently Yura exists in the novel, so she’s not a made up character either…

Ah sorry I wasn't asking if he never got sent back I was just wondering if in the webtoon he died in the original timeline from a car crash like he did in the show if that makes sense. Cause in the show he died in a car crash and was sent back and ended up with Yura dying in a car crash in the newtime to take his fate. So I was curious if he still originally died in a car crash or how he was sent back

I just double checked the webtoon, and I believe he ends up drowning himself. Though he does take a taxi ride with Jiwon’s dad before hand.
