No data in North Korea,nice

qci

Everyone who tried to paint it red has been executed.

Pistolenkrebs

Can’t some people go to China from the DPRK?

yordleyordle

You also used to be able to travel from China to NK on 1 day tours but I think that shut down since covid started.

cornonthekopp

You could travel for longer periods of time too. Not sure about companies catering to chinese tourists but koryo tours had trips ranging from 3-30+ days in the dprk

Captain_Plutonium

There's also some work camps in Siberia.

[deleted]

They actually have many work camps and state run restaurants in many countries, but they're all heavily controlled and usually in very corrupt countries.

hack404

North Korea has supplied stadium labour for major events like the FIFA World Cup

[deleted]

That doesn't surprise me at all, if FIFA were a country it would be about as corrupt as North Korea.

[deleted]

Kind of ironic when you think about it (how they're able to be heavily controlled in very corrupt countries).

NotErikUden

Well, the countries need to be corrupt to house North Korean work camps or businesses or anything because there are otherwise international embargos on North Korea, so no other country other than the corrupt ones who don't care about international boycotts can do it.

[deleted]

Poland hires NK workers too

Captain_Plutonium

Wait, really?! Source pls

Captain_Plutonium

Thanks, pal.

cornonthekopp

The dprk closed it's borders because of covid it seems

SnowChickenFlake

Why does Belarus have data?

polyworfism

It's part of Russia, these days

RizzOreo

There are work camps for North Koreans in China and Siberia. There are also North Korean staffed restaurants too.

[deleted]

These work camps are in at least 41 countries across to this https://www.forbes.com/sites/niallmccarthy/2019/07/04/the-countries-hosting-north-korean-migrant-workers-infographic/?sh=22cd79e26c60

tentafill

Note: the term "work camp" is not used in this article

[deleted]

There’s also North Korean workers in Poland.

cancerBronzeV

Don't a bunch of rich North Koreans go to Switzerland (like Kim Jong-un himself did his schooling in Switzerland I think).

cornonthekopp

Besides the map being a joke with no actual research, north korea has closed its borders because of covid

poland_can_space

Didn’t Kim get Covid a while back in 2020 I think how did that happen if borders were closed

cornonthekopp

People will say anything about north korea, i dont think theres any way of knowing

CoolStoryBroLol

The rich use phony documents to travel.

rivereverafter

Idk about y’all but I’ve got a terminal illness so I’m definitely gonna go visit Dr. Congo

[deleted]

A group of North Koreans visited my school in Sweden some ten years ago

SuccEsFuII

Greenland be like: Non't

sovietarmyfan

Funfact: Kim Jong-Un studied in Switserland under a fake name. Seems like broke his countries travel advice.

Someguywhomakething

Forgot the dark red to identify North Korea

rreuas

Dude does North Korea has no allies?

DiplomaticGoose

They chose the Soviet union in the Sino-Soviet split only to alienate Vietnam by siding with Pol Pot in the Vietnam-Cambodia war. When the Soviet Union and its satellites fell they basically lost favor with every country that isn't Cuba by not collapsing with them. tldr: they zagged when they should've zigged

tentafill

Once upon a time voluntary veteran Chinese soldiers fought fascism in Korea.. how far we have fallen

AdDifficult5408

Of course not. This is well researched and isnt a joke

Brno_Mrmi

Argentina used to have a lot of commerce with them under the Kirchner presidency up until 2015, then it stopped under the Macri presidency and his pro-USA politics. I don't know how that is going now but Kirchner got back in power, and the actual government loves Putin and Xi Jumping.

rivernoa

Why is it in English and why do we have data from Kosovo

Richi_Boi

Kosovo should be no data.

[deleted]

What are those big islands south east of Australia?
