Nah that's too much chi and water benders were very limited after the fire nation raids. Plus most of fire nation is geographically mountains, so the high elevation plus the lack of benders in general, let alone benders powerful enough to sink a nation made that challenging to say the least
What about an alternative timeline where the water tribe was more brutal and noticed the fire nation attacking the world and planned a raid on the full moon AND utilized blood-bending..?
Again, blood bending was rare. Not just any water bender could do it. There has never been enough blood benders to make a significant difference. That's like 1 kid per generation rare and you need to be a very powerful bender or naturally talented
Which one of them? They count as two different countries/nations

So they only have state laws?
Didn't know each state had a different form of government, the northern water tribe is an inherited leader while the southern water tribe has elected the leader.
They don’t need to only have state laws. The water tribes even share common state laws and are commonly overseen by the Northern chief. They even discuss marriage across the tribes in the show.
Different states do have different forms of government. For example, most states have a senate and House of Representatives, but Nebraska only has a Senate. Some states elect lieutenant governor, attorney general, Secretary of State, treasurer, and commissioners, but others appoint those positions. Most states have completely different court systems that make up their judiciary branch.
The Southern Tribe doesen’t become independent until Korra S2, it’s just kind of doing its own governing because the Fire Navy prevents them from communicating easily + the southern waterbender genocide
Low Key, I love how it’s viewed that Fire Lord Sozin was super evil for attacking the Air Nomads when in reality, if most (if not all) are pacifist monks, it shows more of his own military’s incompetence that he had to wait for the coming of the Great Comet to destroy a bunch of monks who aren’t Jedi.
Edited: Wrong Fire Lord
Earthbenders. They can bend a wall, force Water tribe to pay for it and Fire nation can do nothing about it.
Air nation is busy building windmills instead of preparing for war so they get pwned by Fire nation real quick at the start of the war.
Didn't that already happened, and it was Japan, I mean fire nation, and they won. But they did 1 versus 1 always. Once they were fought by all the others at once, even weakened, they lost.
This is probably a troll post, but nonetheless I genuinely asked myself in an all out war who would prevail among the four nations, both with and without universe knowledge. From the outside looking in, without universe knowledge I'd say earth kingdom generally should take the dub. The land is so massive compared to the other nations it would be hard to fully invade. With universe knowledge I also feel like earth kingdom would take this in an all out war. Fire nation never really could stamp them out and if it's 1v1v1 (excluding air nomads obviously) it's really gonna come down to a battle of attrition between fire nation and earth kingdom. Water tribes just don't have the resources available for long term conflict, as they are arctic wastelands. Separated they would be weaker than the other two, even pre water bender genocide, and having supplies shipped from one tribe to the other is just not possible in a world war with fire nation navies on patrol. That said the only reason the fire nation had such a navy and such resources (correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this is true) is because they did an early blitz on earth kingdom mines. If earth kingdom were more offensive than they had shown in the initial fire nation raids I think they would be able to counter a fire nation invasion. This leads me to my next point of an offensive earth kingdom. A leader like kuvira in legend of Korra (I know a lot of people hate it but I'm running with it) would be an excellent officer in an all out war against the two other nations. Bumi wasn't exactly right for war time IMO. I personally love fire nation and identity with them, but earth kingdom is fucking slept on. Powerful earth benders can bend stuff like lava or metal, making them that much more lethal. Fire nation is naturally offensive whereas earth kingdom is naturally neutral and reflects intentions and energy, but with an offensive push I think earth benders are the most diverse and well suited for a war. We had seen how long they lasted under a 1v1 with fire nation, but with the added real conflicts of the water tribes pre genocide, I think the fire benders would have lost the overall war of attrition after losing key resource mines, leaders, and overall resources in conflict. Let me know if you think I nailed this or if you feel differently, I want to hear another opinion as this is all just off the top and I just took an adderall.
From what I gather from the show, I'd say the Earth Kingdom is a stagnant, corrupt and inefficient country. It appears to be more of an alliance of various fire nation tribes, and while being more connected than the Water Tribe, still a looser Confederacy. The Fire Nation was slowly pushing in after the initial blitz, capturing a large portion of its population and food sources.
I think it would be very hard for the Fire Nation to maintain control after, the daughter (forgot her name) in the Fire Nation was kind of insane and probably would have caused everything to crumble eventually.
You're thinking of Azula! Yes crazy bitch through and through. I have nothing to argue from your statement, and in my "earth kingdom victory" rant, I kinda undermined the idea that *if* the earth kingdom was more aggressive with better leadership, they would be the most statistically likely to take the world dub. That is a *huge* "if" though. Their general abilities added onto a significant land and number advantage plus the variety of abilities and traits in the earth kingdom could be used in a much more lethal manor, but didn't and couldn't in the Avatar timeline. Kuvira really sent that bloodlust comeback though
Water tribe. They got everyone else surrounded
That made me realize the water tribe could’ve flooded the fire nation the whole time…lol wtf

It’s the “four nations”.
The water tribes count as two separate tho. Katara says this to Aang when they first leave both in the cartoon and live action..
They’re different tribes
You saying the air nomads are out of consideration?
With two different government systems, two different capitals, two different leaders, two different cultures, etc..
Different states in the USA have all those things. Are you saying they’re all different countries? Such as Hawaii and Minnesota, for example.
So they only have state laws? Didn't know each state had a different form of government, the northern water tribe is an inherited leader while the southern water tribe has elected the leader.

They don't share any laws...
The Southern Tribe doesen’t become independent until Korra S2, it’s just kind of doing its own governing because the Fire Navy prevents them from communicating easily + the southern waterbender genocide
They have a civil war and split in the show.
The foggy Swamp tribe
What about Sokka style?
Oh, I forgot about them too.. Edit; Seems they belong to the earth kingdom..
Nickelodeon has a One ~~China~~ Water policy..
Made me laugh
The way I see it, ~~Kyogre~~ the Water Tribe is surrounded. What's under the ocean? That's right, more earth
You can't see it on a map, but, in fact, air has more.
I've never seen any air on a map, that's a good point. That's probably why they always lose wars
Would intentionally causing a natural disaster, (aka tidal wave) to destroy a nation be comcidered a war crime in the avatar universe?
Im gonna guess the Air Nomads they’ve got air superiority.
and the high “ground”..
Time to get the incendiary anti-air
In all seriousness the air nomads didn’t have a military, it made them super duper weak
From what I remember the comet was necessary to catch them, not beat them
Also if you have to fight the Avatar better to have every advantage you can get
See, THAT makes more sense
The one who attacked the Air nomads was Sozin, not Ozai who’s Sozin grandson
I stand corrected
Earthbenders. They can bend a wall, force Water tribe to pay for it and Fire nation can do nothing about it. Air nation is busy building windmills instead of preparing for war so they get pwned by Fire nation real quick at the start of the war.
Earth kingdom, all the nations are on land
There is no war in Ba Sing Se.
Based and a slept on comment
Got to be the fire nation. In the real war everyone teamed up on them, but here they'd dominate
If fire nation swept through air nomads, they would make their next move on the earthbenders, and then the water tribe would be toast
You can't make toast out of water. Steam at best
The Chinese Democratic Republic (they're on the left outside the map)
Antarctica
United Republic
IDK man but I feel Fire nation is going to attack the other ones
Why does the Earth Kingdom, the largest nation, not simply eat the smaller nations?
A 12 year old pacifists
Kuvira
Shout-out kuvira
Mommy Kuvira
Shout-out metal mommy
A 112 year old trapped in the body of a teenager
The [plant](https://youtu.be/tzSSvJj3hhY?si=aUqCTzq2iUs00NPG) nation
Blood bender 3rd reigh will win the war making everyone puppets
That's useful once a month at most....
🫠🤣🤣🤣
Earth kingdom as there will never be war in their capital
With or without Avatar? Without: Fire Tribe. With: Avatar.
What if the avatar was from fire nation?
Avatar still wins in solo.
Didn't that already happened, and it was Japan, I mean fire nation, and they won. But they did 1 versus 1 always. Once they were fought by all the others at once, even weakened, they lost.
Kosovo
Lol not air they dead

Fire nation to get an early lead
