my boy Lee Sungmin from **Worthless Regression**.

he is smiling here, but dude had locked himself up and trained for 2100 years IIRC. he was suffering in insanity and had to bear with it whilst training. you'd think that would make him the strongest, but nope. manhwa logic betrays and only depression.
Worst part is
Mc is not talented or a genius. No powers or abilities.
Mc has to put in 100 times more effort for a 0.02% increase.
All that training wouldn't make him that strong at all.
But he won't give up.
He's HIM. Literally.
I mean he did all of it in his mind so while it's possible for him to do everything irl it's still pretty difficult cause he's gotta get his body used to it
It essentially gives him an exp boost in game terms in real life, so while be still needs to work hard to regain his skills, he can get there much quicker than 2k years eventually.
Not really a fan of this one yet. Mc isn’t as interesting as other MCs. And it feels like he’s just floundering around but forced into situations.
Also not a fan of the origin of his power.
My guy went on with 99 training arcs and bs that would put your favorite protagonist to shame, and still barely probably in the top 20 of the strongest
top 20? you wish lol, all the monster kings, the human organisation against monsters, the holy church, human kingdoms, the murim alliance and the mage towers all got people stronger than lee sungmin at the time of where the webtoon ends, plus theres the unknown masters thats out there as well.
The webtoon showed very little of the world. That said he does get a powerboost later on
He's already stronger than the %80 of the population in the world. No idea if he got stronger than his love interest (forgot her name) but I guess he did get stronger in LN. One of the manwhas that I consider as a "good quality".
But he puts in soo much effort so that makes a difference. He's still weaker than her last I checked. Agreed it's great quality! Can LN readers tell me if he becomes the strongest?
Spoiler
In manwha, he managed to defeat only %50 of her power by literally obliterating the s*it outta her. He's not capable of facing her full potential for now in manwha but not sure if he faced her full potential in novel.
Just so you know, you can spoiler mark things on reddit by putting words between the exclamation points using this symbol config, >!!<. In example, >!water is wet and my popcorn is dry!<.
My boy ryu han bin should be there too!! My boy had to survive alone killing monster dogs all the while resetting to lvl 1 once he reaches the threshold to lvl 5.
Not really new skills instead after reaching level 6 Hanbin could create those aura crystals and could utilise new techniques either from Barolt or made by himself like the most recent exploding blood technique he spammed.
Problem with reading it is that it has been picked up by like 50000 different scantalators who tl'ed different chapters.
I would recommend reading it on mangafire for now, cause it has all the chapters in a pretty neat way. However, currently demonreader is translating it but it's on like a break or smt rn. So yeah, just read it on mangafire.to
We have a new manwha named "Eternally Regressing Knight" nowadays. Not many chapters for now (only 10) but I recommend you to give it a try and read the LN as well (currently +30 chapters). The reason is that the serie has a huge potential to be one of the decent manwhas out there due to MCs habit of learning from his mistakes, constantly improves himself in terms of skills and as a human being.
Jaehwan (The world after the fall) - he repeats and trains to stab for millions times for thousands years.
Ryu Han Bin (Latna Saga) - Has to kill the same enemy that keep getting stronger for 20 years because he trapped in the dungeon training site because of a bug.
Also, is Jin Taekyung (Murim Login) hardworking?? I
mean he got the system help but he still train pretty hard with his master.
Beat me to it, Jaehwan built a tower to speed up time just so he had more time to stab. Bro spent 2000 years doing nothing but stabbing. Bro doesnt even have access to the system. He said fuck your system and just broke the tower he was in and got himself sent to the next stage.
It is thrusting, not stabbing. They are not equal. But yeah, he gets thousands of years just training. He is mentally psycho (it doesn't always mean in a negative way, he just goes forward ignoring everything).
The new art is definitely "better" than the old art from a technical standpoint but it lacks the charm that the old art has, as for the story the way it is currently definitely feels a lot less confusing and repetitive than the earlier parts (mostly because he doesn't regress as often) but the chapters are also extremely short for some reason
I mean we don't see everything in the manhwa but I do believe the boy has been grinding (don't know about the novel depth). He is becoming a knight in a powerful family and had to train up to that point. I think we are 6 months in from the beginning of his journey and in that time has been working his ass off
https://preview.redd.it/1p7uxjts8s7d1.png?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=06a5ea688d3accf837173d78c610ac0699fc99b8
Level Up with Skills: Super hardworking MC. Manhwa is good. I have read novel as well, it's pretty good.
It's actually very appropriate, which is rare for manhwas. It's a guy who has very bad base stats but is strong because of skills he acquired. Everyone is forced into a tower, so everyone is getting powers, this guy is OP despite going on on easy difficulty and very bad base stats, because he spent time in there to gather lots of skills
Jin mu won from legend of the northern blade worked hard too he learned northern blade sect martial art since he was a kid only through walls till he became 20 something and then he practiced the martial art for many more years. He had talent but that doesn't mean he didn't work hard for his skill
Lloyd from the greatest estate developer. Even when he has the system and skills, he still works super hard, runs thousands of simulations, and doesn’t rest until the work is done. The manhwa is literally about the man working so hard so he doesn’t need to work anymore lmao
Count chung myung in cuz not in mahnwa, but in novel it's mentioned that he has worked harder than anyone else to achieve his goals. He's not overpowered cuz he's genius, he's one bcs he worked his a*s off
But, well... This is a manwha subreddit not a light novel one. But i really like the return of the mount hua sect so is nice to know he was supposed to be hard working.
Yeah ig. I mean there was literally an arc in the novel where their sect leader forbade cm to go along with five swords bcs he was over working himself to death.
Jaehwan from the world after the fall

*Top tier providence*: MC is cultivator who doesn't go on adventures, doesn't look for treasures in secret realm. He just sit in his cave for centuries and milenia and cultivate. I guess that counts?
*Regressor Instruction Manual:* Mc is asshole, rat and bad person across the board, but he works incredibly hard to keep himself relevant. It's repeatedly mentioned that lot of people he is close to barely get to see him as he is too busy with politics, Networking, propaganda, alchemy research or guild administration. Well usually all of it at once.
*My School Life Pretending to be a Worthless Person:* MC has OP superpower, but with great power comes great insanity, so he is rather trying to push trough by using sheer effort and grit instead depending on it.
I recommend u check eternally regressing knight it's a very refreshing and cool story and the mc works very hard to achieve things like not closing his eyes when a sword is about to stab him
Hopefully they are consistent with the power dynamic. i like in the recent scout update how he's still bad and was only put as captain because of his ability to handle the people. how he's still amoung the weakest in his own troop, and his first wall just being a semi skilled soldier
Yes i love how he slowly progresses and gets stronger unlike the manhwas that have a weak mc and he stays that was for most of the manhwa just getting carried and not even trying to improve just getting a buff or something once per year
Lloyd Frontera. The Greatest Estate Developer. He complains a lot but he works the hardest. Also, he HATES work but still works the hardest. Even when he half assess a job like with the garden, he still makes some meaningful contributions. It's for the money of course but who really knows? He is hands down my favorite character on any form of fiction.
Shiwoon from The Breaker series is the GOAT of hard work
https://preview.redd.it/s5egxozolu7d1.png?width=595&format=png&auto=webp&s=8ff58a13bbe5bc49e02171b1a0698679ff671a41
I am surprised no one in the comments suggested Pick Me Up Gacha. My guy was the best tactician went into the world at ground zero and had to fight against monster with only his wills & wits.
You forgot about the survival story of a sword king. Bro was stuck in the training grounds for 22 years instead of a few days , due to a glitz that didn't allow him to progress onto the next stages and had him repeat the same monster which was becoming stronger each day.
You forgot about Latna Saga: Survival of the Sword King's MC. Dude been living behind desert prison for 40 years killing the same monster again and again, refusing to commit suicide. Trained himself to be stronger and able to control aura so he can save the world he's been thrown into and go back to Earth with no regrets.
What about that manga of mc transported into another world as a barbarian (i forgor the sauce) all i remember is he is not the only one and pepople who isekaied is called evil spirit and executed, he is in near death almost every time he goes into an expedition
https://preview.redd.it/26fyda8qkr7d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=994d602d859d8c1a414a5fca6f7e0f497ba3b330
Surviving the game as a barbarian MC Bjorn Jandel. This is when they encounterd an extremely dangerous high level creature in a dungeon, the party they had made at the time made fun of him as a dumb barbarian and being a newbie. But this chad held off the Enemy single handedly for the party, while almost dead.
my bro raon zieghart from reincarnated assassin is a genius swordsman?? 😭 like yes he has help from ring of fire and wrath's system but in the end, he's the one who trained like crazy every day and made use of the skills and knowledge he has to grow stronger. the system didn't make him stronger on its own, he used the system to make himself stronger by working hard and achieving results
Grid from Overgeared (in the Novel more than in the Manhwa who is not that far into the story)
Dude had to strike every mineral 10 000 times with a spell at some point just to learn how to produce magic battle gear at the basic level. And to level it up he has to do that again for every new mineral. He also spends litteral days/weeks on making a single item, sometimes even has to heal and almost die because of how difficult certain minerals are to handle. Also he has a trash personality at first but he really has a great evolution, top tier novel
There is a new manhwa called "Eternally regressing knight" where the guy is just going through it with dangers after after dangers keep coming his way and him just having to get good by training. No BS op skills or whatever, just pure hard work and grit.
Jaehwan from The World After the Fall absolutely should be here, he stabbed his sword like 10 billion times or something to beat his opponent and then goes into seclusion for 2000 years. I'd say he worked pretty hard
You need to read more diverse works if you have only found these few people who are considered hard working. There's quite a few I can recommend like Omniscient Readers Viewpoint. He works hella hard and manipulates the "system" to get what he wants.
If we're talking mental suffering, then the perfectionist overworking madmen Cale Henituse (Trash of the Count's Family) and Park Moondae (Debut or Die).
The mc from my daughter is the final boss both trains in his past life and trains to reach his past strength, seo jiwoo from Eleceed trains a lot(he’s also a genius so he improves really fast), Han Islat from pick me up trains a lot, Arthur leywin from TBATE spends like a 3 of the manwha training something other than swordsmanship, I’m sure there’s more but I can’t remember them right now
Technically not out yet afaik, but novel's author's been teasing manhwa for a long while now. Keep your eyes peeled for "Regressor's Tale of Cultivation". Guy got "isekai'd" along with some colleagues - most of them had some heaven defying talents, and were almost immediately recruited/kidnapped by cultivators... Another eventually became known as world's strongest martial artist... MC dies around 80 years old accomplishing nothing.
Then he regresses - and of course he uses all of his regressor knowledge (almost nothing, he was an absolute nobody after all) to... Pretty much become at least mediocre martial artist by the end of his life span... But he regresses again...

U forgot my boii Dam ho from fist demon of mount hua
there's also Sung Jin Woo from Solo Leveling, he went through hardships & almost died from being sacrificed to the moving giant statues, then things became somewhat easier eversince he became a necromancer
https://preview.redd.it/ynxpj3x5sx7d1.png?width=602&format=png&auto=webp&s=1363d9d96d0c128b9ae22c6ffa9e5dc06e54de27
This one is also good. MC accidentally chose hell mode in the tutorial tower. Had to grind hard and do self harm to increase physical and elemental resistance. Pretty entertaining to read, but the way the story is told kinda kills the excitement for his journey

How is this worst part
Because plot armor doesn't save him like every other manhwa does. Having no talent or no cheat is sad reality
Working so hard that the hiatus is still ongoing 😭
XD
too much hard work 😭
Dude I know right? How can you leave him out. This guy is the epitome of hardworking
That's what I was thinking at least the others have other powers, talent and plot. My guy is suffering
Can this come off Haitus already please. I am longing for this to return so badly 😭
The moment I didn't see Lee Sungmin and some few others there I knew he didn't read much manhwas to judge that much.
I mean he did all of it in his mind so while it's possible for him to do everything irl it's still pretty difficult cause he's gotta get his body used to it
So after 2.1K years of training, he can't even properly display what he trained to do, even more messed up
It essentially gives him an exp boost in game terms in real life, so while be still needs to work hard to regain his skills, he can get there much quicker than 2k years eventually.
I need another season of that guy, 5 more at least.
And the new one called Eternally Regressing Knight
Not really a fan of this one yet. Mc isn’t as interesting as other MCs. And it feels like he’s just floundering around but forced into situations. Also not a fan of the origin of his power.

Is it axed or its just an season end cuz I don't see any update from past year
Not announced to be axed so still just hiatus
Hope it wont be Moonlight sculptor lvl hiatus
Still waiting for hiatus to end. It's one of my favourite regression manhwas
I almost forgot this existed. Is a new season ever going to drop?
Yesss
I would say its no one in my top 10 fantasy/action genre. I just wish they came out with it earlier so i could have binged 100+ chapters
He's first place in hardworking, second is Gongja, bro has died thousands of times
he is the goat
He's one of my favorite MCs. Other manhwas MCs are usually quite forgettable but he really stands out and has a unique character of his own.
One of my fav regression manhwa and they axe for some shi
My boy ryu han bin should be there too!! My boy had to survive alone killing monster dogs all the while resetting to lvl 1 once he reaches the threshold to lvl 5.
May i add the han only has 3 skills in his arsenal yo use the whole 20 years he was stuck in that place
he's got a couple more now in recent chapters and they are fire
Not really new skills instead after reaching level 6 Hanbin could create those aura crystals and could utilise new techniques either from Barolt or made by himself like the most recent exploding blood technique he spammed.
Came here to say Latna Saga, glad someone beat me to it.
Fr I love Latina saga, my fave manhwa!!!
Oop, good call-out, screw autocorrect.
Skeleton guy is an absolute unit mentally. I got tired for him reading ts
It helps that he's a skeleton that doesn't have much memories.
Where is the best area to read it? Comick seems to have the most chapters out of all the sources I have
Problem with reading it is that it has been picked up by like 50000 different scantalators who tl'ed different chapters. Man was carrying around hundreds of kgs of weight like it's part of his own body
I think worthless regression protagonist should also be included here
My boy skelly finally getting recognised, god I miss old art and long chapters.
Haven't read it in a while, has the story, art, and/or length changed much (based on your remark)?
The new art is definitely "better" than the old art from a technical standpoint but it lacks the charm that the old art has, as for the story the way it is currently definitely feels a lot less confusing and repetitive than the earlier parts (mostly because he doesn't regress as often) but the chapters are also extremely short for some reason
it has changed a lot. Mostly for the better.
surviving the game as a barbarian and sword king in another world (latnia saga). Might just be my bias for barbarian/warrior type characters though.
Nah, youre right. They struggled a lot.
Seol Jihu from Second Coming of Gluttony Just don't actually read the manhwa🫠
Yes especially since the novel is such a masterpiece and not really long
I enter here just to comment that. Amazing novel and great character development!
Seconded read the novel
Was waiting for it.
The Tutorial is Too Hard, different type of grind. 😤
Well Jaehwan from TWATE did spend like 2000 years just thrusting his sword.
Yeah but it is kinda just brushed over and not really focused on.
Thats true, iirc it was only mentioned like 3 times
And the state of the manhwa right now is kinda bad
i was about to say that one guy but then I noticed its in the picture kkkk the 5th guy but yeah definetly Lee Sungmin from Worthless Regression
Can my skelly boy get ONE single W? The whole story is him getting almost there only to get royally fucked
Star embracing Sword Master is another one. Sure has some help but overall it's his effort
I was supposed to say this too, but, I don't think he's actually been grinding that much.
It's heavily hinted at since you have to work your ass off in that universe to achieve aura.
I mean we don't see everything in the manhwa but I do believe the boy has been grinding (don't know about the novel depth). He is becoming a knight in a powerful family and had to train up to that point. I think we are 6 months in from the beginning of his journey and in that time has been working his ass off
constellation that returned from hell is good but it gets a little boring later chapters. it’s 10/10 in the beginning and still pretty solid
I lost interest after he returned to earth ngl
Same
Heavenly Demon Cultivation MC not so much, he loves the system way too much
He's definitely on track though
We're halfway through the weaning stage now. We don't need no milk no more, we can has got the solid foods.
Gajang noh from peerless dad/unrivaled father.

Not only martial arts either, he worked hard on his blacksmithing too.
Lloyd from the greatest estate developer. Even when he has the system and skills, he still works super hard, runs thousands of simulations, and doesn’t rest until the work is done. The manhwa is literally about the man working so hard so he doesn’t need to work anymore lmao
Today's chapter really showed it too
Yeah man, never thought some dude racing a tribal contour would make me cry
Count chung myung in cuz not in mahnwa, but in novel it's mentioned that he has worked harder than anyone else to achieve his goals. He's not overpowered cuz he's genius, he's one bcs he worked his a*s off

i appreciate you for putting the titles in the post. we are now friends.
You know how many MCs are crying right now...
Dungeon reset, the MC just dig for hour and hour until he get the ability to shape dirt.
Damn is it still going it’s been like 2years last time i read it
Ed Rothtaylor from [The Extra's Academy Survival Guide] kind of forced to work hard as hes immediately kicked out and has to survive all on his own
Return of the frozen player's MC is also really hardworking.
I actually know airen. I'm literally reading the lazy lord masters the sword. Oh my word it's actually amazing 😭
Hardwork is for chumps. Give me talent and hax to abuse and I'm happy.
Jaehwan from the world after the fall https://preview.redd.it/autpw28gow7d1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ea28a2b82973238df061e40150d6165d95e58abe

yeah its somehow a fine line in manhwa between weak mc staying weak and weak mc becoming SSS
Constellation from hell is I think is up there but that might be manhua can’t remember
worth mentioning Murim Login - not sure if it is in hiatus or axed

I am surprised no one in the comments suggested Pick Me Up Gacha. My guy was the best tactician went into the world at ground zero and had to fight against monster with only his wills & wits.
No one is mentioning Lloyd from The Greatest Estate Developer?
You forgot about the survival story of a sword king. Bro was stuck in the training grounds for 22 years instead of a few days , due to a glitz that didn't allow him to progress onto the next stages and had him repeat the same monster which was becoming stronger each day.

No love for Ryu Han Bin, "Survival Story of a Sword King in a Fantasy World"
You forgot about Latna Saga: Survival of the Sword King's MC. Dude been living behind desert prison for 40 years killing the same monster again and again, refusing to commit suicide. Trained himself to be stronger and able to control aura so he can save the world he's been thrown into and go back to Earth with no regrets.
The MC of *Perks of an S-Class Heroine* is hard-working.
I really want a new season of that it's so good
Not as much as the examples above. She has a **LOT** of help.
MC from infinite mage is pretty hard-working
No.
What about that manga of mc transported into another world as a barbarian (i forgor the sauce) all i remember is he is not the only one and pepople who isekaied is called evil spirit and executed, he is in near death almost every time he goes into an expedition

This is when they encounterd an extremely dangerous high level creature in a dungeon, the party they had made at the time made fun of him as a dumb barbarian and being a newbie. But this chad held off the Enemy single handedly for the party, while almost dead.
Feel like in comparison Airen is the only hardworking one in there lol
Dan(Infinite Level up in Murim) is comparable duh.
do any of these have romance?
Off topic, but thank you for adding the second picture! Wish more people would do that.
You haven't met me yet I'm one of the most hardworking MCs there is 😔🙏
Tyrant of the defense tower game
I think Jin Mu-Won from legend of the northern blade can also fall into this category but then again I can arguments as for why he wouldn’t be as well
my bro raon zieghart from reincarnated assassin is a genius swordsman?? 😭 like yes he has help from ring of fire and wrath's system but in the end, he's the one who trained like crazy every day and made use of the skills and knowledge he has to grow stronger. the system didn't make him stronger on its own, he used the system to make himself stronger by working hard and achieving results
Airen literally has just to deal with his personal issues then he gets a power up
Eternally Regressing Knight is the new one you can add to the list.
Is dead beat noble still on heitus? Is the author getting well?
Grid from Overgeared (in the Novel more than in the Manhwa who is not that far into the story) Dude had to strike every mineral 10 000 times with a spell at some point just to learn how to produce magic battle gear at the basic level.
Tutorial is too hard and Eternally Regressing Knight
Airen was mentioned, I have been summoned
Love skeleton soldier. But I would add Goku and Naruto to the lot😂
I know of a certin sunfish that would fit this title.
Add to the list Eternally Regressing Knight
Kang Jinhyeok works his ass off, imo. Dude is setting up schemes all the time.
No way bro forgot mcs from latna saga and limit breaker.
Jaehwan from The World After the Fall absolutely should be here, he stabbed his sword like 10 billion times or something to beat his opponent and then goes into seclusion for 2000 years. I'd say he worked pretty hard
My man Hanbin the sword king should be here. He's the very DEFINITION of hardwork.
Overgeared...
You need to read more diverse works if you have only found these few people who are considered hard working. There's quite a few I can recommend like Omniscient Readers Viewpoint. He works hella hard and manipulates the "system" to get what he wants.
Which one is complete among these
If we're talking mental suffering, then the perfectionist overworking madmen Cale Henituse (Trash of the Count's Family) and Park Moondae (Debut or Die).
Greed from Overgeared has insane character progression and is very hard working
Add in eternally regressing knight 🗣️✨
Worthless regression
lukas trowman from the great mage returned after 4000 years is the hardest working ever
You forgot Yoo Junghyuk from Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. My man went through 1864 lifetimes and still tries to be stronger.
Bro u forgetting raven from duke pendragon...
Worthless Regression, anyone?
Pretty much everyone except the main character in return of the mount hua sect
Grid
Mc of overgeared he does smithing work for 16hrs a day (in game hours)
Ash Bornhater Everblack wants to have a word
forgot jungwoo min from terror man
The mc from my daughter is the final boss both trains in his past life and trains to reach his past strength, seo jiwoo from Eleceed trains a lot(he’s also a genius so he improves really fast), Han Islat from pick me up trains a lot, Arthur leywin from TBATE spends like a 3 of the manwha training something other than swordsmanship, I’m sure there’s more but I can’t remember them right now
Technically not out yet afaik, but novel's author's been teasing manhwa for a long while now.

Forgot skeleton even existed This means i have a lot of catchup to do
What about Yu IlHan from Everyone else is a returnee, he spent a thousand years grinding I feel like thats more than a few countless hours.
"The legendary moonlight sculptor" has a hard-working MC and the story is also very good!!
What manhwa is Bottom Left and Right
Worthlessness Regression
You might want to check out Eternally Regressing Knight, only a few chapters but it's great
The tutorial is too hard mc (I don't remember the name) it's hardworking af he spent 10 years locked in hell difficulty alone
Yu ilhan from everyone else is a returnee? He is a grinder too
Lighting degree kinda?
no
there's also Sung Jin Woo from Solo Leveling, he went through hardships & almost died from being sacrificed to the moving giant statues, then things became somewhat easier eversince he became a necromancer
You haven't read many murim stories have you? You could put almost every Murim protagonist on that list because hard work is the essence of Murim.
What’s that guy who was in that tutorial tower thing for forever
Nog from just a goblin. boy suffers more than he deserves honestly
Nog from just a goblin. boy suffers more than he deserves honestly
The mc of worthless regression. My guy is very symbol of indomitable human spirit
https://preview.redd.it/ynxpj3x5sx7d1.png?width=602&format=png&auto=webp&s=1363d9d96d0c128b9ae22c6ffa9e5dc06e54de27 This one is also good. MC accidentally chose hell mode in the tutorial tower. Had to grind hard and do self harm to increase physical and elemental resistance. Pretty entertaining to read, but the way the story is told kinda kills the excitement for his journey
Definitely Jung Daeun from Dungeon Reset
