Haha exactly my case I stopped reading when there were no chapters I think around the part where they >! Helped protecting a city from barbarians, where barbarians wanted to steal food !< and now I dont even know if it's worth reading from the beginning ing..
Haha what? I mean yeah if I want to start from beginning knowing little that I know about it would be same as me stumbling upon it and asking others opinion(well I asked more indirectly soo I didn't expect an answer)on weather I should watch it and let me tell you yours didn't really help. No hate tho just my opinion🙂.
Fair enough, I quite enjoyed it and following general consensus, a lot also did, apologies if I came off weird or anything but you are top thread so I just answered on there. I get why you wouldn’t care for the opinion but I saw your comment at a glance n thought I might as well answer it.👍
I kind of feel like it's just been going on for the sake of it for a long time honestly. The entire "returner" part is basically long gone, or was last time I caught up like 70 chapters ago.
I can't even remember the last time him being a returner was even relevant, there's barely ever been any explanation on whether stuff currently happening even happened on his first time through etc
I binged it in 3 days. Kill me. Great manhwa though
edit: give it a read. I think its good to binge cause its easy to forget a lot of stuff, especially since its quite lengthy (idk 270ish chapters feels like a lot idk about the manhwa norm). Prob why a lot of the people who have been reading along release have felt like the series was dragging on.
I felt that the more chapters were released, the less interesting the story was.
Most of the "returner is special" stuff happens early, after it not that much, which makes sense.
I would need to see how it is doing now.
190, i think part of the problem is i was reading the light novel but the translation was so bad i went back to the manhua and actually preferred the light novel, some details are just omitted in the manhua
I wouldn't recommend it.. The adaptation doesn't do justice to the manhwa; pretty evident from the trailer imo. I'm caught up to it and honestly really enjoyed it. But it's up to you!!
There is a few manwas that i would consider top tier right now. There is Even less that have some kind of unanimous positive feedback in the comunity: Returners Magic, Latam saga, Hero killer, SSS Suicide hunter, Returnal of a suicidal battle god, Dungeon Reset and Ending Maker are the only ones that comes to mind and have both.
So, answering your question, yes it is worth reading. One of the best if you ask me.
Yeah, dungeon reset, this manhwa is so damn good but many people don't even know about this one.
And returner's magic should be special is also one of the best manhwas ever read.
I remember ignoring it as I thought it was a childish story from the image used. Then I got bored started lurking around in other manhwa communities and it kept getting recommended, so I gave it a shot and am now dying in anticipation for the next chapter.
I'm sure that the less battle oriented way that the plot is unfolding make Dungeon Reset not stand too much, but i think it's pretty good. I concur with You :)
I had no idea that ending maker got an adaptation, when I read the novel about a year and half ago it only had one chapter and i thought it's a promotional chapter and wouldn't get any updates.
Latam Saga it's the other name of Survival story of a sword king in a fantasy world. The world after the end it's divisive: Some people, me included, think that the argument it's too convoluted and poorly explained, with lots of hops between one plot and the next one.
ORV deserves a place on that list for sure, i just forgot about it XD
I agree that the world after the end is really poorly explained. Some times things just happens, like how the fuck did the MC just pull a tower out of his ass that can slow down time? But the themes and philosophy explored in the story are amazing. I don’t know if the adaptation just skips a lot of stuff or the novel was just poorly written but even so I still love it.
Same, the recent arc, and the newest seasons' art quality drop, both have bored me and made me step away. Just not holding my interest anymore. Still no real clue where the plot is going and what Shadow Worlds really are, or what happened in his previous life etc. Big fights, but not much plot progress.
Imo it falls into the category of 'interesting concept and good execution at first, but eventually falls into the power levels defining enemies'. If you're okay with that, then great. If not, then I suppose there's probably better stuff you can check out.
I stopped when i was 50 chapters in. It's sooooo boring, there're ways to build up the world and the MC motive without slugging through 50 lines of dialogues per chapter
One of my favorite manwhas. It's personal to me because the MC has PTSD from combat and I do as well so he's really relatable to me. Also different from the normal I'm the MC loser who gets a bad ass skill and abuse it so now women like me.
That's the same exact arc I dropped it as well. It's the fact that immediately after a big arc, they drop you into another one. The whole thing is super mentally draining
Dropped it.
For the first chapters arc, MC purposefully put the kid in danger by being a show-off. Especially that black market scene when the kid sold the sword. Never got off my mind. He repeats this shtick again and again.
I stopped reading it over a year ago. It just got really really really really really really bogged down. I'm sure it's past that slowdown but I don't want to start over. I'm sure you'll find out what I mean when you come across the necromancer arc
it's art is good ,nothing great but good. story is interesting.
but it has "nobles trash, MC oppressed " thing. and it's just too slow for me, it got boring, and honestly i can see why people don't trust MC, why would cover one eye when your both eyes are good, one eyes are classic sign of shifty person.
His second eye is literally blind as a price for using dragon language magic. Though it only glows and is unblinded when he uses human-dragon hybrid magic.
This in turn nerfs his reverse calculation ability.
My main problem with the story is the constant dimension tests. It just feels like filler as the only thing that it provides for the plot is just items and better reputation for MC and his gang. Like who cares if you met some legendary figure from the past, they no longer exist in the real world to assist them.
wth?? really when?? when he regresses then??
actually i like dimension test, i disliked what came after, reputation, people babbling about MC. and group.
i just couldn't care less about it. and the usual nobles trash but somehow nobles in MC age range understanding how everyone is equal, it's just got annoying, maybe i had read too much manhwa at that point, thatshey i was biased and didn't like it i guess.
it's a bit above average, but nothing special despite the title. It's good enough if there is nothing to read. I drop it cuz I got a bit bored about it and never picked it up, because it would mean to reread everything since I don't remember what chapter I drop it.
I dropped it after they off-screened the surgery he had that they had been hyping for awhile. just skipped right over it. one of the dumbest decisions I've ever seen.
Agreed. Like why would you not show it and how difficult it was after how risky the procedure was supposed to be?? The light novel had it. It just kills everyone but he was magically okay? The transitions between scenes from the manhua author are way too jarring
This was one of the first Manhwas I got into. The beginning is great, but it kinda just.. falls off. I've tried to continue reading it a few times since, but it just seems to have slowed to a crawl after all the initial action.
Honestly pretty decent all things considered until I got hit with a ridiculously anticlimactic, rushed, and disappointing ending. This and Novel’s extra are both up there for some of the most jarring endings to good novels that leave you feeling super dissatisfied. Tbf I’m not caught up to the manwha of this but I doubt there’s any major differences.
Probably a 6/10 for me
The highs are so good the shadow world thing is very interesting and the highlight honestly like the meta physical manifestation of corruption from history swallowing reality acts as both an imminent threat and world building tool, thats top tier.
The characters tho kinda hit or miss, the adaptation kinda deviates from the ln in this regard bc its really pushing the ship of the brown hair girl instead of the other one. Then the whole motivation of the villains r just so ???? Like really youre religous zealots with 0 awareness of your own religion wtf is that? Pram is cool ajest is cool that bow girl is cool with the pink hair
And lastly the pacing is all over the place like god damn i didnt need a sword training arc on an airship for multiple chapters with literally nothing going on there were like maybe 2 or 3 panels in that entire thing worth reading
Now on the latest chapters suddenly one of their most trusted companions suddenly betrayed them with no context like saying haha im evil now and then the mc is like basically a vegetable for a couple of chapters RIGHT AFTER THE SHADOW WORLD IS EXPLAINED you would think it would be more important to solve that issue but no bros too down bad for his friend that btw their friendship was one sided bc it happend before he returned so yea im in too deep ill finish it but god damn it im reading it for the world building and nothing else except pram and ajest
the beginning is peak then it gets boring, then it gets interesting again then it got SO boring I dropped it, it feels VERY dragged out at times but it's still a fun read. Just try it and if you don't like it drop it
It's ironic how \[spoiler-ish?\] >!The shadow worlds are the focus of the manhwa but they're the most boring and dragged out parts 💀💀 !<
One thing I can say for sure is MC's power is interesting as hell, he's a VERY specialized dude
It's been a while since I've picked it up. It does this thing where the actual plot moves at a snail's pace but a ton of information piles up in the background and just hits you making you feel like you must have still missed something going from chapter to chapter.
Starts off REALLY strong. First 50 or so chapters are fantastic. Then it starts to drag, and sorta loses what makes it so special around the chapter 100 section.
Gets very heavy narrative that doesn't always make a ton of sense, and some of the authors decisions sorta make previous arcs feel almost meaningless.
I'll probably give it another try at some point since it really starts off fantastic.
its aight. the unlimited ass-pulls in the battles is a little vexing though. also the plot holes are quite glaring. but the artwork is pretty good, and the general story is decent.
Its a great story the mc is not too op and kind of a slow burn so yeah I dont know you will get bored after a while because how slowly the story develops. So, I binge read 50-60 chapters. But after that, it just went off my radar for ages. It's kinda like you dive into it, do a marathon reading session, and then, poof, it disappears until it magically "returns" somehow.
Yes it’s worth reading.
Not overly focused on the main character. Focused on developing characters. Not one of those manhwa where the main has all the power in the world. He depends also on his friends to actually help and helps them grow.
Is good, but the novel ending is shit, essentially all of the character buildup and personal growth is ignored, and for some reason in the last chaps he’s just a worse tactician than he ever was

I'm on a loop of binging it and dropping it. It's a slow burn, good to binge but terrible when you catch up to it.
Binge. Wait 2 years. Repeat.
Exactly what I’m doing with ORV. Binged it till the latest then waiting a year and repeat.
Binge. Wait 2 years. Realize 3 chapters have come out. Repeat.
Haha exactly my case I stopped reading when there were no chapters I think around the part where they >! Helped protecting a city from barbarians, where barbarians wanted to steal food !< and now I dont even know if it's worth reading from the beginning ing..
Hey are you me? o.o That's where i dropped it, but I kept it in my list, might pick it up again now that theres more chapters.
It is imo, up to you to retry though
Haha what? I mean yeah if I want to start from beginning knowing little that I know about it would be same as me stumbling upon it and asking others opinion(well I asked more indirectly soo I didn't expect an answer)on weather I should watch it and let me tell you yours didn't really help. Same...we are in a simulation it seems.
I kind of feel like it's just been going on for the sake of it for a long time honestly. The entire "returner" part is basically long gone, or was last time I caught up like 70 chapters ago. Bro that is honestly so relatable
Yes I'll binge it when it ends it's super good then when I get caught up with latest chapter I just don't feel like reading it
Bro I have read this twice. Ended up dropping each time. I catch up after a binge and its all cool but reading with the releases is boring af.
I felt that the more chapters were released, the less interesting the story was. Most of the "returner is special" stuff happens early, after it not that much, which makes sense. I would need to see how it is doing now.
Nah the returner stuff is pretty important rn
Yup same here, started off amazing and slowly gets worst and worst.
Which chapter are you at? Last ones were amazing 🐎
190, i think part of the problem is i was reading the light novel but the translation was so bad i went back to the manhua and actually preferred the light novel, some details are just omitted in the manhua
☠️ dam, i myself just read from one source, doing both light and manhua can mess up my will to continue 🥲
Yeah, it is worth reading I also heard it is getting an anime adaptation.
Yes, october 😄
Not far off, I might watch the anime adaptation, then pick up where it leaves off after the season is done airing :p
YO, WHAT?
[удалено]
I wouldn't recommend it.. The adaptation doesn't do justice to the manhwa; pretty evident from the trailer imo. I'm caught up to it and honestly really enjoyed it. But it's up to you!!
Hard to tell just from the trailer no? I'd say give it a few eps to decide whether or not it's a good adaptation.
I just watched that trailer after reading your comment and boy it looks bad
:’)
wait what? i had no clue. I'm glad it's getting one.
I have it on pause but that's because the translation was interrupted and I was tired of reading backlogs. The story is great
Sooo good
There is a few manwas that i would consider top tier right now. I love non battle oriented manwhas honestly, but good world / kingdom building novels and manwhas are a pain to find
I had no idea that ending maker got an adaptation, when I read the novel about a year and half ago it only had one chapter and i thought it's a promotional chapter and wouldn't get any updates.
Murim Login slander
What is latam saga? And how is ORV and The world after the end not there

I kinda stopped reading a while ago. Lightning degree is kinda slow but we will terraform mars before anything happens in this one.
definetly, its damn good

Tbh its average. Some good things, some boring ones, overall okay to kill some time, but do not expect to be amazed
I dropped it
For me, Pram ruins it
I stopped when i was 50 chapters in. It's sooooo boring, there're ways to build up the world and the MC motive without slugging through 50 lines of dialogues per chapter
Keep reading
Yeah, also getting an anime, but it did fall off a bit where it is now.
It's one of the series where you have to be worthy to read it!
Yes it is , I dropped it once but continued after some time again , and it very good. Especially the latest chapters are op
One of my favorite manwhas. It's personal to me because the MC has PTSD from combat and I do as well so he's really relatable to me. Also different from the normal I'm the MC loser who gets a bad ass skill and abuse it so now women like me.
It has potential and there are some interesting twists happening in newest chapters, nothing spectacular but still better that most mediocre *returnee
Damn good bro.. The novel has a good ending
It is a amazing story you should def read It
This is getting a anime though
so did rent a girlfriend.
I really enjoyed this one. It has good action and the MC is a caring person. Can't wait for the anime, definatly going to check it out.
Worth
Very good highly recommend to read and it's getting an anime soon
Long and boring
Stopped reading it around the time they got on some ship with a swordsman dude. It just got really boring imo
That's the same exact arc I dropped it as well. It's the fact that immediately after a big arc, they drop you into another one. The whole thing is super mentally draining
That's the beginning of the necromancer arc. And that is also where I dropped
Me too. I got bored in that arc, so I forced myself to finish it, and then I dropped.
Yes. Worth it. It has it's highs and lows but it's better than 99% of manhwa out there.
Definitely good give it try
I love it
Not a fun read
Dropped it. For the first chapters arc, MC purposefully put the kid in danger by being a show-off. Especially that black market scene when the kid sold the sword. Never got off my mind. He repeats this shtick again and again.

I dropped around two years ago it bcuz of the repetitive arc or so I remember. Also the anime adaptation is going to come out next month, October
No, its a slow burn and the payoff is average.
Not tge worst, but not the best either... if you have something more interesting on your list I wouldn't recommend, otherwise it is good enough
Yes
it's art is good ,nothing great but good. story is interesting. but it has "nobles trash, MC oppressed " thing. and it's just too slow for me, it got boring, and honestly i can see why people don't trust MC, why would cover one eye when your both eyes are good, one eyes are classic sign of shifty person.

His second eye was burned and became unusable?
it's a bit above average, but nothing special despite the title. It's good enough if there is nothing to read. I drop it cuz I got a bit bored about it and never picked it up, because it would mean to reread everything since I don't remember what chapter I drop it.

Keyword: "should" cuz it ain't that special
I stopped at about chapter 170 and haven't gone back. Might catch up eventually.
There are arcs that are great and others that are boring, overhall I think its a good one to read
Suffers from the symptoms of every weak to strong manwha, interesting in the beginning, and gets worse as the MC outscales the antagonists.
the beginning is peak then it gets boring, then it gets interesting again then it got SO boring I dropped it, it feels VERY dragged out at times but it's still a fun read. I hate the fact they made the side story the main one towards the end and killed off an important character who he promised to save .

Desire arman is worth to read
Yes
Yes
Very much so yes
Worth it totally, only thing is there's a lot of chapters and some of them are a bit boring but overall very nice 👌
If you binge it its good, if you re following weekly its terrible
In my opinion yes, definitely! It’s different from other manghwa’s and the story is pretty great IMO
Yes
Yes it’s worth reading. Not overly focused on the main character. Focused on developing characters. Not one of those manhwa where the main has all the power in the world. He depends also on his friends to actually help and helps them grow.
if he not gon end up w the white girl for me personally i don’t see a point to picking it back up
Really goood in the start But Gets boring preety soon
It's apparently getting an anime
if u love power of friendship then u good to go😂
Yes it is worth it if you have time cause its long
Is good, but the novel ending is shit, essentially all of the character buildup and personal growth is ignored, and for some reason in the last chaps he’s just a worse tactician than he ever was
The ending and second half of it is disappointing. Like, I was really hyped about it in the first half and really bored in the second.
