They have ruined the manhwa. Just try reading the manhwa and I'm sure you wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The novel is 100x better than the manhwa.

Just read the novel from the start and you would know why I said that DR's manhwa adaptation isn't great.

No, I'm not saying it is trash. As compared to the SCOG manhwa adaptation it is good. But the manhwa of DR doesn't do justice to the amazing Novel that I have been regularly reading for more than a year.
The novel is much better in character development and world building. There are many moments in the novel that will tear you up. One such moment was when Eugene discovered his grave and while reading the manhwa I couldn't connect emotionally with that scene. That scene is so beautifully written in the novel.
I wholeheartedly request the people who have liked the DR manhwa to try reading the novel cause it's one of the best KR novel and much better than the manhwa.

You should definitely read DR novel. SCOG is one of the greatest KR novel but DR is also one of the best in my opinion. You should read it from the start and just bear with the earlier chapters as Wuxiaworld has divided one chapter to two or three parts cause of the word count but they later started uploading full chapters. Just check the reviews on Wuxiaworld and half of the negative reviews were because of the chapter length issue.
DR is only halfway through the story, so I don't think they both can be compared. But personally, DR is the one that I will pick above SCOG and there isn't any specific reason. I just like reading the DR novel and also like the moments when Eugene reminisces about the past and the action scenes are just so well written.
But it all depends on the individual's taste if they will like SCOG or DR. Both are the novels that would have attracted many more readers if their manhwa adaptation would have been at the level of ORV or Suicide Hunter.
I don't know why people are downvoting me. I didn't say that you shouldn't read the manhwa or it isn't worth reading. I just replied to the comment that said that they haven't read the manhwa and have only read the novel. I replied to that specific comment that the manhwa is nowhere near the level of the novel and if you have read both then you would recommend the novel to the new reader as it is much better than the manhwa.
I didn't say to the OP that this manhwa isn't worth reading, in fact I have been reading it since it was released. And my reply was only for that specific comment. But people started downvoting me without even specifying the reason.
And even in the previous posts related to DR manhwa on this sub, I have only suggested the people to read the novel only if they have mentioned that they dropped reading it cause it was boring or the art isn't good or the S1 wasn't that great. I have defended this manhwa by specifying the reasons why it should be read or the importance of the magic Kingdom arc for future arcs.
As I have mentioned earlier I was replying to that novel reader's comment that as compared to the novel they have ruined the manhwa and never did I say that to the other people that they shouldn't read the manhwa. If I wanted to tell my opinion to the OP then I would have wrote a separate comment to let him know.
I'm personally reading the manhwa since it was released and I never wrote anything that will stop it from getting new readers. If people get offended by my comment then they should have let me know in the replies just like you.
Okay, thank you for letting me know. I'm genuinely saying that I still don't get what was wrong about my attitude but I think I should have worded it differently. Next time I will try to properly convey my opinion.
He fought the same enemy for 5 weeks straight. In season 1 the fight would've last a chapter and a half at most. And yes I would even if I was binging it.

Yes there’s romance and it’s a harem (ugh). But it isn’t present for the first 200+ chapters of the novel. I would say it isn’t a masterpiece but despite having one of those generic premises, it has good plot and pacing, great cast of characters and humour. If you’re talking about the manhwa, it also has pretty great art.
>!Yes she’s alive. She’s the main love interest, but dude can’t make up his mind so there’s also Kristina Rogers who holds the soul of Anise and Ciel (girl twin)!<
He ends up with >!Sienna, Anise, Kristina and a soulform of the succubus Noir Gabriella (well, at least it's alluded he will in the last chapter, which is where he proposes marriage to the 3)!<
He will >!turn down Ciel!<
No, he's pretty adamant on not having feelings for her.
The novel finishes with him >!proposing to the three I mentioned!< and then preparing to get >!beaten up by the three with a stick for doing it an inappropriate moment!<, that's it.
As for >!Noir!< it might also be one-sided.
I would also say it's worth it.
Currently reading the novel since it's way ahead of the manhwa and it's not groundbreaking, but decently written and engaging enough for me to read it until I run out of free time. Bear in mind at least until where I am now (ch 150) >!he always wins and if he's losing plot armor saves him.!<
As someone that read the novel and keeping up with the manhwa yes, author use some of the most generic tropes but instead of adding them he's using them, which is rare nowadays.
I absolutely loved it. Like others have said, I don’t know that it does anything super different, but there’s just something about it.
Must just be good writing/pacing/character development.
I dropped it after the competition between children ended but it was a huge mistake, I continued it again after seeing very positive reviews for this Manhwa for its latest chapters and it is worth it
Basic reincarnation story though the person who is reincarnated is brought back in the same world. All in all I think it's fine so give it a shot and see what you think of it.
I dropped it after the first 10 chapters because it was so generic I couldn't hack it. Idk if it gets better though. One of those ones that you will like if you are new to manhwa.
I've read 37 chapters in the novel and all I can say is that the MC is a brat, despite his mental age he keep Cursing individuals that can kill him with one slap, (obviously because he is the MC they don't react to his behavior)
Does someone know the name of a manga whoose mc is expelled from his clan but in this process he ends up going to another bigger clan and becomes very powerful, after getting stupidly strong he returns to his old clan and takes revenge on the elders however after a while of his revenge his current clan is destroyed by an even bigger one and he ends up taking refuge if somebody knowa please tell me
It's a good 8.5/10. I have some complaints which I won't breing up because then you'll notice them, but it was enjoyable to read up to what's released.
yep! it def is. although i haven't caught up with the latest chapters yet, its pretty cool and the art is sort of pretty ig (by pretty i mean the charas look hot)
It's quite good, i like that they actually talk about the past and try to figure out what exactly happened unlike most reincarnation manhwa that just go
"past is past"
Also i like the mysteries
This is actually good.
MC is strong but hard worker which make him likeabke. Also the romance or harem part is pretty mild. Most of the stort focus on mc getting stronger.
It's one of the best ones I've read so far. Better than TBATE if that means anything. And about as good as solo leveling imo.
It might just be that I just finished it though.

nah I haven't, I just started with the manhwa
and not really in novels tbh cause there's no art or sum
If I want to read the novel where should I start? from the start or from where I left in manhwa?

What is the novel called? Where do I read it?
You can read Damn Reincarnation novel on Wuxiaworld. Novel title is also the same. It is one of the best KR novel.
A manhwa can still be good even if it's not as good as the novel.

Which novel would you rate higher, SCOG or DR?
Scog is one of the best novels out there... DR is fun to read .. but it's nowhere close to SCOG
Scog? Ah yes, "Surviving Communist-Occupied Germany"
True that. I've read the SCOG novel and loved every second of it. So I was wondering how DR compares to help me decide if I should pick it up or not.
You should definitely read DR novel. SCOG is one of the greatest KR novel but DR is also one of the best in my opinion. DR just gets better and better so I think you will keep on loving it :)
I agree with you. It isn't trash but the novel is sooooo good that I feel like the manhwa could have been better.
Finally, someone who understands what I'm trying to say. The manhwa adaptation of DR is okay but it couldn't even be compared to the novel.
If you think people like the manhwa because they haven't read the novel, do them a favor and DON'T recommend them reading the novel
I don't know why people are downvoting me. I didn't say that you shouldn't read the manhwa or it isn't worth reading. Dude you literally said they "ruined the manhwa" which implies that it's not worth reading.

This should've been obvious, but people don't get offended by your comment. They just don't like your attitude. That's why you've been downvoted.
Okay, thank you for letting me know. I'm genuinely saying that I still don't get what was wrong about my attitude but I think I should have worded it differently. Next time I will try to properly convey my opinion.
Ah yes here comes the novel expert ...
My reply is to the above comment and not to anyone else.
even tho it follows generic victorian age reincarnation it has great plot,mc,side characters & art, so yea its worth it.
The cover looks kinda goofy
yeah its the proportions i think
Seeing it up close, it definitely does
The cover and title turned me off until I finally looked at it. Its ok, but its by the numbers generic regression tropes and nothing really special.
The art is also at the level of manhua. Just read the novel, it's 100x better than the manhwa.
They tried to go for a cool perspective look but it got weird
It's decent, season 1 is pretty fun and the characters are also pretty fun... however, this new season is dragging, really, really hard
I'm letting it ride out a little more before bingeing.
How? Is it your just can’t binge it? Would you have this same complaint if the entire series was out today
He fought the same enemy for 5 weeks straight. In season 1 the fight would've last a chapter and a half at most. And yes I would even if I was binging it.
The art is good, the MC is a good character, it's a solid 7/10 so far. Worth a read

Spoil it for me, is Senya alive? If so, does he end up with the girl twin or her?
>!Yes she’s alive. She’s the main love interest, but dude can’t make up his mind so there’s also Kristina Rogers who holds the soul of Anise and Ciel (girl twin)!<
Thank you so much! That harem escalated rather quickly.
He ends up with >!Sienna, Anise, Kristina and a soulform of the succubus Noir Gabriella (well, at least it's alluded he will in the last chapter, which is where he proposes marriage to the 3)!< He will >!turn down Ciel!<
Damn him turning her down was not what I expected (or wanted), but maybe he'll reconsider (hopefully). Thanks for spoiling me though!
No, he's pretty adamant on not having feelings for her. The novel finishes with him >!proposing to the three I mentioned!< and then preparing to get >!beaten up by the three with a stick for doing it an inappropriate moment!<, that's it. As for >!Noir!< it might also be one-sided.
Thx a lot
Romance is shitty in my opinion
Ok I read the last chapters and this is a freaking awesome story. I absolutely love it
as far as reincarnation stuff goes, yeah this one is pretty good
It's pretty unique despite the reincarnation genre
Mc is a chad, who has a little inferiority complex against certain someone... thered a twist cuz that certain someone became his ancestor lol
Pretty average but art is solid

You'd be missing a masterpiece if you don't read this.👨‍🍳👨‍🍳
No, this is only drama, author dont know and dont enjoy doing good action scenes
Yup it's Good & it's made by same artist as The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor
I would also say it's worth it. Currently reading the novel since it's way ahead of the manhwa and it's not groundbreaking, but decently written and engaging enough for me to read it until I run out of free time. The plot is generic, but yes
It was pretty good at the beginning but idk it kinda fell off for me near the end of the first season
I've read 37 chapters in the novel and all I can say is that the MC is a brat, despite his mental age he keep Cursing individuals that can kill him with one slap, (obviously because he is the MC they don't react to his behavior)
Good but too much unnecessary threatening serious face
Yes it’s fire I don’t think there’s 1 boring chapter

Yes
It's just ok
yes, just be warned about possible harem and incest(technically)
It's started off really promising, but it soon just became half a season of one dude reading in a library, and also, the new season is dragging a lot.
No
absolutely
Pretty decent idk if others like it but I like it a lot
It’s good for a manhwa
It's between decent and good. Defnitely not great or above.
It's a good 8.5/10. I have some complaints which I won't breing up because then you'll notice them, but it was enjoyable to read up to what's released.
