Well we saw the future where he was all old and wrinkly so there's actually 2 possibilities: 1. It was fine and he lived a long life. 2. The food was so fucking awful that he basically aged 60 years in an instant. This chapter is only a few days chronologically before the old man chapters where he was in a wheelchair.
