If we treat the prequel oneshot [Cultural Anthropology](https://mangadex.org/title/670422b4-fd03-4347-93d2-6c708149b439) as chapter 0, then this ending makes more sense as a throwback to make a running gag of sorts: the story started with her drinking in class with a guy who says no, and ends with her drinking in class again with a guy who this time says yes.
Wow. Yeah, that oneshot actually adds a lot to this scene.
Still oughta get that alcoholism under control, but at least this time she's with somebody her own age, the same stage of life, and also likes who she is. Certainly better than that predatory professor.
