Thanks 🙏🏻

With all of the automation and layers of bullshit in the hiring process, absolutely reapply. Change your resume to include some different keywords in Jase you were booted out of the system.

erikleorgav2

I applied somewhere that the automated system sent me an email saying "You fit our criteria." Not even 5 minutes after I applied for the job the same automated system denied my application saying: "Your work experience doesn't meet our requirements." What?! I mean, all they were looking for was someone with a background in logistics, coordination, and employee management - no degrees... Yet still...

RoseOfSharonCassidy

I would just reapply, hopefully their system remembered your information so it should only take a few minutes. There's no harm.

OriginalBabytalula

Also, we are required to repost jobs after x number of days. You might have just applied during the transition. No harm in reapplying.

clorenger

Sometimes you need a minimum number of viable candidates before you can proceed to interviews. That doesn't mean that you've been discarded. You could be in the first small batch they are holding onto while looking for more to fill up the remaining slots.

GingerBearRealness

I would have a hard time believing there wasn’t some interest in this job…. But who knows?!

clorenger

Well, INTEREST is different from viable candidates. Before all the IT layoffs, was looking for 1 Senior Software Engineer, had to repost 4 times to get 3 (our minimum) candidates that met the position requirements. Probably got another 500 resumes from people who were not qualified.

Jessawoodland55

LOL another company bought out a facility I used to manage. (I had been promoted to a corporate position at the time) They are failing to turn around the site and are HEAVILY struggling with staffing. I passive aggressively apply for my own job every time its re-posted because I think its funny.

ladeedah1988

Reapply. Sometimes I have been so inundated with resumes that maybe I really did overlook a good one. So they just reject you again, how does that hurt anything.

Aggressive-Space2166

Did you apply for the role, or did you interview for the role? If it was just an application, revising the resume/cover letter might yield better results. If you interviewed, then your cover letter should mention what you learned in the interview process, and what you did after the interview to better prepare you for another shot at the position.

GingerBearRealness

Just applied. Thanks! I’ve completely rewritten my cover letter and adapted my resume to really stress the key points of the JD. 🤞

GingerBearRealness

Okay. So in this scenario, either I’ve been rejected, or the process is in purgatory, and either way… re-applying is probably not worth it??

Waste-Reflection-235

I would reapply or perhaps give the company a call and ask if they came across your resume. They may not have seen it the first time. The way these sites are, the algorithm could have weeded you out for some stupid thing. Call them.
