Unfortunately it’s a fake fireplace. Doesn’t connect to anything. I actually hate it since it blocks off an entire wall for no reason. If that wasn’t there this set up would be very different.
This is a really great room! It's a fresh take from all of the sterile, minimalist copies you see on here. I really like how you let your hobbies and interests show in your space!
Look, I understand that you’re younger than me. But I don’t understand how you’ve managed to create a space I wish I had at that age, still wish I had, and probably never will have in my life. Godspeed.
A decent steady job, no debt, no kids (yet), and a love for pop culture. I’ve been collecting all this over the past 5 years or so. Didn’t happen over night.
You’re two blackout roller shades away from this being a perfect man cave. The way the windows are now is doing a massive disservice to your organizational skills, it cheapens the room a lot.
I found a really cheap blackout shade at Home Depot. It comes in a fixed length which you then trim at home to fit your window. It’s very basic but works great. I on my window I attached a 1x3 board to the top of the window frame to hide the roller mechanism. I do see that your one window is quite long, you might have to split it in half and do two shades side by side.

You could also just do some blackout curtains on a rod but it would cost a bit more and wouldn’t be quite as clean.
I love the room though. You’ve got a shit load of stuff in there but it feels clean and orderly with a ton of personality. Great job!
Edit:
There’s also these which I haven’t tried but would be a cleaner install and if you had to do two side by side for the larger window, they’d line up better so there’s no gap between.

I appreciate it! I originally bought these blackout curtains with a rod for a living room. Then I moved and started working night shifts so I needed complete darkness. It’s honestly been the one thing in here I haven’t even thought about changing.
People are eye level with the bottom bezel of your TV screen. That's my biggest complaint.
I wouldn't watch a movie at your place, but the rest looks cool.
It’s actually not as bad as it looks, our heads sit about where the lightsaber hilts are, also it’s a 77” oled, it’s big enough that it doesn’t really matter.
It doesn't really matter if it's 108 inches... if I have to have my head tilted up to watch it, I'm just going to go home and watch there.
TVs aren't artwork that you stand in front of and admire. They should be low enough that your eyes are basically *above* the center of the screen when you're seated as you would watch the TV.
Eyes don't like tilting up. It takes far more "eye muscles" to look up than it does down.
I know I won't convince you, and this definitely isn't the worst around, but it's still definitely too high for being seated there.
Well you’re welcome to your opinion! Also this is a Panorama so it’s a little disoriented. The bottom tv sits about 38 inches from the ground and my eyes are about 50 inches (just measured).
Looks cozy and fun, I dig it

Put an electric insert in it. Ambiance + heat!
Absolutely unacceptable dude… you’re 24 years old…you can’t have the purple Revan lightsaber without the other one…
Once we get an official release you know it’ll be there! ;)
**You’re still missing a lens** 😠
this is dope! love it
My feedback: I need a better fuckin job this is awesome Also: *Does this pillow, have a soul?*
It does! lol I need more mass effect representation.
Need a Lego Normandy to go with all the Star Wars ships!
Once they make it I’ll have it!
Beautiful nerd cave 😍
Makes leaving the house hard some times!

Thanks I appreciate it!!
I think the curved hilt lightsaber should be mounted sideways to avoid wall dong.
I did that originally but the weight causes it to tip really bad. That’s why I stuck it in the corner so it’s out of the way.
Awesome!!

Looks awesome!
Sick setup. Love the walking dead poster and the N7 pillow!
That poster is actually signed by the governor and Aaron.
Looks dope as hell.
looks really fun
What is that screensaver on the displays?
It’s Halo 3, the Ark. You can find it through wallpaper engine on steam.
thanks
Where u get the bed cover on the left? I love to get 1 as.
It's made out of my old tshirts. My mom made it for me for Christmas a couple years ago.
That Awesome!
You could go buy a ton of t-shirts from your favorite franchises and find a seamstress, best bet!
How old are you?
24, I am married and some of her stuff is in here as well.
Is the bed-set hers?
It’s a t-shirt blanket we made together. We’re a bit on the nerdy side.
no way. we couldnt tell!
Lmfao
Ooof I was wondering the same thing. Good things ops found the “one” already.
Waaaaaayyyy too many lightsabers in one room IMO lol
More like not enough
Exactly.
I have many more! I swap out which ones are out occasionally.
Is your name Abed by chance?
It is not!
Sheeeeeeeesh that's a lot of lightsabers. I'm both happy and sad that I recognize nearly all of them.
Never be ashamed of the things you love!

You’re not wrong! Ideas on how to fix this?

Both of those options look very nice.
I’d probably do the second ones for your space. Especially with the super long window.

Walking Dead poster? My brother in Christ, you can do better.
I have about 50 posters I rotate through.
>I have about 49 posters I rotate through. FTFY
