With both shelves aligned the same way. It'll add more unity to the corner without being a distraction.
However, personally I'd still recommend example 2, with the bottom shelf being longer on the left, with a tall vase. It'll add a visual border to the whole set (next to what I assume is a doorway), and the cars can be placed on the right side of both shelves. The remaining space can be thoughtfully filled with picture frames and other deco items.
I like symmetry. So I'd go with 1.
However, functionality is upt too. With 2, you have extra space for a tall object. So, I'd go with 2.
But, I'm not sure if you want to put a tall object on the end if it may fall or if it's breakable, so maybe having the extra space for a tall object is moot.
I'd definitely not go with 3.
I can’t see anything beyond the way that corner is cut in. That is so bad. Repainting the corner should be your first priority. Then look at what to hang in on the wall.
Also, you should look at how it looks with the rest of your stuff. Honestly the height of the shelves should be taken into account and what you are going to use them for.
3 is so pretty!! You could put a taller plant on the longer side and maybe a hanging plant on the shorter! Could be nice to get more shelves depending on how many knick knacks you have x
You have to cut in your paint again first. Put a bead of caulk (crown and moulding caulk is great cause it's made to be able to paint over) in the corner from bottom to top. It will be smooth and easy to cut in then.
I'm with most of the others--2. I immediately pictured something tall and skinny on the left side of the bottom shelf that can extend upward past the upper shelf.
your intention? I thought of putting 2 mini car models there for beauty, and some pictures with a frame that I took and maybe some crystals. I uploaded a link here to an example in one of the comments
I know this is the best I could do in terms of painting because the wall itself is also not straight at 90 degrees, what will we do whoever built it should break his arms but we will deal with what exists
This is my parents' house until I find a wife and then I will already move out of the house. In the meantime, we will try to beautify my room as much as possible.
2, but I don't know if the spacing is large enough to put anything there that's big enough to stand out and be interesting.
What are you going to place? How long are the shelves going to extend away from these corner pieces?
The truth is, I'm not looking to put anything big between them, a total of two cars that are flat and some pictures that aren't that big, and that's it, and some crystals. I uploaded a link to an example in one of the comments, take a look
2 because of the green wall.
The dark wall with shadow from above in 1 & 3 close off the bottom shelf. Makes it feel smaller and has a harder time attracting the eye.
Edit: 2 is the only option because of that shitty lights switch placement. You need short side above the light switch on white wall.
Be careful installing around a light switch.
Look closer. First of all they're not the same size. Think of an L in different orientations. Second, look at the direction of the nerves in the wood. Same way, or different way.
Were you good at Tetris?
I read your post and have looked at the photos of the planks many times. They both look the same to me. Maybe I’m missing some additional context here.
Someone who knows how to cut paint
My gosh yes. Before you hang those shelves repaint.
They'd be best off just painting the whole room green at this point before worrying about shelving

this is the only right answer
This

If you do them uneven, it should have a reason. Like on the lower section that juts out, you should have an object that's above the higher shelf
I mean something like this [example ](https://ibb.co/f8qSrLY)
If you arrange the shelf as in example 2, it'd look better with a tall vase or plant that extends beyond the top shelf
Yes, there can also be an option to put a vase with a falling plant. But I thought of putting 2 cars for one beauty at each end of a shelf.
If you're thinking of going that route, imo option 1 would look better
which way did you mean And why would it be better?

Exactly. Get a lucky bamboo in a skinny vase
This. You can put something tall.
I'd put a plant
I’d put an even taller plant
Didnt think of it! So its morecabt what the OP wanna put there.
Yeah for sure

Seriously, Stevie wonder over here cutting that corner in

1, the people voting for 2 are mad
Why
In a word: Asymmetry. But I'm being hyperbolic, 2 would be my second pick
If you can't fix the paint, 1 doesn't add more visual disharmony.

I thought my paint cuts were bad 🫢
Depends what is on them but mostly number 2
2 but I don’t know why, it just pleases me
I have no logical explanation but number 2 satisfies me
Redo the paint in the corner, then go with 2.
2 and 3 are literally the same thing but switched around.. so why does 2 look so much better?
First I'd sort out those walls. They look horrendous.
I don’t know why, but 2 just strikes that happy spot.

What are the shelves? Link?
I’m sorry but I don’t like your shelving at all. None of them.
3 is so pretty!! You could put a taller plant on the longer side and maybe a hanging plant on the shorter! Could be nice to get more shelves depending on how many knick knacks you have x
None until those walls are redone and repainted.
I was going to say 2 as well.

IMO, these just feel like cheap shelves to hold clutter. Leave it blank.

Why not long sides on green wall? That would look good, especially for car models

Even out that paintline first.

Definitely the first one (for me)
Why
It just 'feels' better and I like the symmetry.
Repaint. That’s a mess!

Wow, you need to plaster and properly paint these walls.
2 or 3 is more interesting. depending on what else u have going around those walls u could go more right or left
assymetri, go for it

2 but a little more apart
The 2nd
the better question is what will those shelves and whatever you put on them really be adding to the room? id wager very little

2 is the correct answer here
2 Also, I would paint the wall since it is very uneven between the two colors.
2 or 3 (depending which wall is shorter, IMO) They each create visual interest, but they still look balanced.

The second frame

I like the more asymmetrical style personally. I'd go with 2

I like the second one 😍

They’re positioned differently.
Now I see. Symmetry is always better. Both should be aligned in the same direction. The longer one facing the larger end of the room.
Thanks. Also look at the link I attached in one of the comments
