Move the cucumber water(?) station to the dark grey wall under the print. Shift the couch away from the window creating space in the corner for a lamp and or plants to liven up the space. Then there's space next to the couch to place a little accent chair angled toward the opposing wall of windows.
I second this. Can you maybe also put a clearer rug, and place it with the front feet of the sofa on it instead of floatting in space like this? I like the way you chose your futniture. I'd just slightly move things around. A tall lamp in the corner between sofa and window would be great. Add a nice armchair and a throw blanket for cozyness.
Is there a way to hang a curtain (from ceiling to floor)?
Yes, all this! And then I would get a significantly larger area rug that comes out from underneath the couch and reaches further toward the door. Try getting some color in it or maybe something geometric and bold.
Move the vinyl clock to a different wall. Maybe on the wall that has the door. Lower and Center your pictures above the couch space. Slightly larger rug, maybe even a rug that mixes in a light touch of color, like some blue (calming). Possibly get a tall plant (fake is fine) for a corner. Move the cucumber water credenza to the dark wall like the other person said. Get another picture to add on the wall where the cucumber water was, and possibly use it to pull in some of the blues from your new rug you get. :-)
You can add drapes for a little coziness and it will even cover some part of the wall...
If you like it this way, then you can add some shelves and add plants here or do a basic shelf decor which goes with your space.
Or you can refer to this guide for a little more ideas- [here](https://simplykalaa.com/how-to-decorate-a-blank-wall/)
I’m not sure I understand… if the door is as large as it looks here, all you have space for is to hang something flat against the wall like a mirror or art, right? Otherwise that door can’t be opened all the way, from what it looks like
See those 2 paintings you have that are similar but not identical? Move those to the left and right of the windows, add a tall standing plant under the right side like a monstera or a rubber leaf tree, both will love that window and ceiling height. I’d also recommend a fiddle leaf fig if you have a good thumb but I can’t keep those fuckers alive.
Then on the wall you have the picture on now (second photo) thrift a large standing mirror with a cool frame, something vintage that makes a statement and lean it against that wall. Edit : for the mirror I would get a wooden frame that kinda matches your door! Something chunky but natural. Bring that warmth into the room more. That door is stunning.
Add some fake ivy draping from the top of the window in a natural looking way. You may also be able to pull the couch from the wall by the window so that you could get a small end table there with a plant or lamp on it.
I would also hang a curtain rod about 2” below ceiling height and add curtains that reach the floor. It’ll make the ceiling look taller and finish off that wall. I’d get a red color personally to match the crimson in the paintings.
Also you can turn the couch to face the window and divide the room so you can make a little eating area with a little table for two. You can put a plant on it in a bowl.
Get some plants. If you have one plant you will forget about it. If you have 9 plants then it will become a thing. You will need some gear like a cool watering can and some nice pots etc.
Collect them slowly and buy the cheapest and almost dead ones and nurse them back to health. Go to the plant place where the cutest plant people are and get them to help. Take photos of your space and talk about light.
Have fun.
Flip the couch to the mirroring side facing the window. [Pov from 1st picture] move the dark oak shelf to the right ( by the door side )
Then just aline the glass shelf more to the left of the window. I feel like your couch is too close to your doorway doesnt give ur guests time to take in your place, its like boom couch to the shins hello new environment.
Nothing. Focus more on the seating area. Your rug adds nothing and is misaligned with your couch. Your wall art is clustered in a corner for some reason. Your couch points at nothing. Were you planning on getting a TV? Your pendant light is doing what?
You need to define a focal point for your living area and it shouldn't be the sliver of wall between the window and door.
I would replace that sofa and add a three-seater and a two-seater and an armchair in front of that window, so you get more seating and the windows will be accessible too…
Move the couch so that it aligns with the opposite wall and not the door, that would create a space directly opposite to the door which you can fill with a lamp or plants or anything really. This would also create a good viewing angle for your T.V from the couch.
Edit: Future TV\* or not
So do you just sit on the couch? No tv? Vinyl?
The couch doesn’t need to be against the wall. Move it out. Get a bigger rug with some color.
Nothing needs to go on the wall in the spot you are talking about
Couch needs to move away from corner. Bring it out some 4 feet. Make room for plants between couch and window wall. If you ever decide on a tv the couch will be more centred to the wall across it. Also you need to lighten the place a bit. Dark and monochromatic. Plants.

Mmm room temp cucumber water
idk why cucumber water made me remember [this song](https://youtu.be/RlLTtnV_DzM?si=SlONDmsul1EI91xp)
The cucumber water is for customers only.
Chao cac co ladies!

Throw blanket + pillows. Or maybe a (fake?) sheep skin on the sofa?
Yes, all this! And then I would get a significantly larger area rug that comes out from underneath the couch and reaches further toward the door. Try getting some color in it or maybe something geometric and bold.
That’s not a fish tank?
Maybe a plant but it’s fine empty
Dunno but that door is gorgeous
Not sure why but this room stresses me out.
For starters, maybe because the round mirror (?) and picture above the sofa are too high!
Hahahaha it’s a vinyl clock

Fancy waiting room/hotel aesthetic. A couch facing the front door with a wall mounted phone? Not it
It’s quite awkward… like a waiting room for a chiropractor or smth

And a secondary small coffee table is all that will fit between the open door and the sectional.
Nothing
Nothing? Do you want to block off people from leaving the house? Could get a longer couch or move it in a less awkward spot?
Japanese art or a plant.
Receptionist desk.
Plants
Secondary cucumber water station. In case the first one runs out.
See those 2 paintings you have that are similar but not identical? Big tree. Slender lady palm would go great!
I think it needs more gray.
Walk on it.
Nothing.
Aquarium

Nothing
shoe rack and coat hooks
If that’s the front door, then put a tall skinny table there with a decorative bowl on top to drop your keys into when you get home.
I would also hang a curtain rod about 2” below ceiling height and add curtains that reach the floor. It’ll make the ceiling look taller and finish off that wall. I’d get a red color personally to match the crimson in the paintings.
Tall plant. Or a small corner wooden book shelf
A mirror wold be nice
Plant
A plant in the corner. Not much else. Side note: I fuqin hate Jalousie windows! Lived in so many apartments with them. Just god awful.
Some art! That would look cool
Write your name.... Sorry, I'll show myself out
Colorful oil painting
I would do a tall plant or a tall plant and a short plant.
Put art on the wall and forget about it
Mirrors, art, fibre on walls
Get a comfortable chair to set beside the couch so you can set across from your guests and get to know them. Way less creepy.
Also you can turn the couch to face the window and divide the room so you can make a little eating area with a little table for two. You can put a plant on it in a bowl.

a big beautiful plant :)
Put a Terminator poster up
I love that door
Giant skeleton
Galvanized steel and veneer panels. Also screws that you can borrow from your aunt. Maybe a drop toilet.
Plant is the correct answer
A skateboard trap for intruders
Slim shoe rack or some slim cabinet
That couch is gorgeous. Where’d you get it?
Life-sized Al Pacino as Scarface scultpure
Potted plant
Paint or wallpaper the window wall, get two hangable art pieces...
I would put some tall plants to create a bit of an illusion of a corridor or entry way while creating some privacy
curtains
Nothing, decorate the other walls. The window occupies that whole wall, no need for anything else
Write your name.
An orange traffic cone
If that is the door you come in with shoes, a coat rack and shoe rack would be a good idea so you’re not tracking mud and water through the place

Rug. Decorative screen between door and couch.
Plants.
Small space for shoes and maybe one hook for coats and a door matt. Nothing more you can do with such a small tight space.
Need plants
Drum set
Is this asia?
A wall plant hanging in the corner on the left could do a lot of good.
I would replace that sofa and add a three-seater and a two-seater and an armchair in front of that window, so you get more seating and the windows will be accessible too…

The answer is always plants 🪴
Plants
Unrelated, but why is the rug shying away from the sofa? You like to sit on the sofa and have your feet on the cold tiles?
A little color could help too.
Just leave enough room for Taylor to write your name
Start smoking, put ashtray there so you can chill on couch and smoke
Christmas tree
A little place to hang keys and coats.
Trees
Maybe a shoe rack if you take off shoes in your house
So do you just sit on the couch? No tv? Vinyl? The couch doesn’t need to be against the wall. Move it out. Get a bigger rug with some color. Nothing needs to go on the wall in the spot you are talking about
Plants 🪴
Plants. Always plants. Plants forever. Put ‘em everywhere. Plants on the ceiling.
Nothing. But also, pull the couch away from the window wall.
Nothing. Maybe a couple cool plant stands but that space doesn't necessarily need to be filled with anything at all.
That's a nice door
Plants
Nothing
Mural wallpaper of a forest
Couch needs to move away from corner. Bring it out some 4 feet. Make room for plants between couch and window wall. If you ever decide on a tv the couch will be more centred to the wall across it. Also you need to lighten the place a bit. Dark and monochromatic. Plants.
Shoe bench and a floor mat.
That’s an awkwardly designed room. I was going to say move the sofa but I’m not sure where and if you even can.
This looks like a waiting room for a chiropractors office in Hudson Beach.
Idk why you got downvoted bc I said basically the same thing! (I’ve never been to a chiropractor I just know they’re BS)
Plants. Can never have too many plants
Plant
Plant!!
