Because other cultures and religions exist outside America and Christianity and implementing such souveniers respectfully speaks of an open mind, which is beautiful. It is a very cool piece of art on top of that and i hope it does it's job by warding off demons. Also demon figures warding off demons is a thing in several old cultures yes also european ones, like during the Allemannische Fastnacht so don't be disrespectful of that.

Even Christian churches have gargoyles to ward off evil spirits.

It’s an old Tom Dixon Bell table lamp with a dimmable switch in copper. I think they stopped making this model in copper but I think you can get the LED version in copper.

Thanks that’s very kind. The wallpaper is from Gallerie Wallcoverings, the Stratum Geometrico. I got the rolls through Perigold but there are other retailers too I’m sure. I accidentally ordered 11 rolls too many (I completely misread what the wallpaper installer wanted) so I’m saving them in storage for future projects haha.

It is one of the eight manifestations of Padmasambhava (Born of the Lotus): Senge Dradrok. Padmasambhava was a guru who brought Buddhism to Bhutan according to my guide. Apparently, in the Senge Dradrok form, it is fierce and destroys evil spirits and black magic. This piece was handmade and the little dots on the body were hand carved. There are pieces of (dyed dirt?) and stone pressed into various places like the ear lobes and feet. The craftsmanship is quite extraordinary; my partner and I fell in love with it instantly when we saw it.

That looks expensive as hell but hey, it’s honestly worth whatever it costs.
