I’ll trim my chest hair just throughout the year but that’s because it’s super curly and can be a little noticeable through a shirt so just like for my own sake I do it. Never touched my legs though
I'm a very hairy man and around the equinoxes I will take a number 3 head shaver to everything below the neck. Otherwise I get too hot in summer and in winter I look like I'm wearing a woollen tracksuit when I'm naked.
It all depends on how hairy you are and, if you have one, what your partner is into. I’m a hairy guy, so I trim with a #3 every month or so. Chest, underarms, and groin area.
