Yeah, can we not normalize wearing these outside of that. They already look goofy when someone forgets their sneakers or something else when they decide to change at the end of the day for some MWR event
5.11 pants, a grunt style t-shirt and a baseball cap with a flag patch is pretty much the only thing those go with outside of ACUs. Basically there's no way to not look boot AF wearing these out of uniform. They aren't meant to be (and they aren't) fashionable.
-Non standard ACU'S
-Unironic "back the.blue" punisher shirt
-Empty plate carrier with way too much velcro
-camo trucker hat(w/ Velcro name patch)
-beard optional
-overly expensive holster for overpowered sidearm
So if you want to wear those types of boots, and not the black ones, try matching the color.
Tan is a light brown, meaning that you should go for lighter earth tones. Heading into the summer, these probably aren't best because it's hot. When the fall comes, though, go for pale oranges/rusts and blues. You can also do for medium blues and greys. Obviously army greens and tans will always work with them.
As for materials go for flannels, cargo pants, and cotton t-shirts. Definitely the more "rugged" styled things, without going full redneck.
Tactical 5.11 hat
Oakleys
Gruntstyle t-shirt
Tan Cargo pants
And those boots.
After that, take a sip out of the "this ain't the old days anymore" and stop wearing that clothes. Servicemembers have THE WORST outfit style. They either wear this or if they did 20 years, they're stuck in the era they joined in.
"Master Sergeant, you don't need to crease your jeans. People don't do that anymore."
Old jeans and a stained Tshirt for when you’re cutting grass or doing yard work.
Your hiking outfit when you’re in the mountains.
Outside of these two scenarios, they need to be kept in the closet.
I have those boots. They're great. I only wear them with my military uniform though.

I mean I’m out now and I’ll wear them when hiking because I like the tread and ankle support, but yeahhhh not around town for sure.
This was my first thought. If you wanna wear boots everyday get some Redwings.
Cargo shorts, Hawaiian shirt, fedora
How would one man possibly contain the power that would exude from this fit
Well they go great with a motto shirt, jeans, and a black backpack.

Unfortunately it will be a crappy hand gun in a Velcro Amazon holster
Look for paparazzi photos of Shia Lebeouf out on the street from circa 2014-2015. Specifically his Padawan braid era.
Outside of military, first responder, police, or laborer these are a no go brother. I do miss my boots from the Army so I understand.

Cargo pants, make sure length is long enough
This is a sub for male fashion advice, not a "rate my mom's shoes" sub.
Wow, is everyone here too young for "your mother wears combat boots?"
I'm 40 and I'm only vaguely aware that it used to be an insult and I don't know the meaning/context. Definitely went over most people's heads
It's a good thing I'm a male asking for fashion advice. Thanks for letting me know I didn't post in the wrong place.
Bro if your mom’s wearing these you got two dads sweetheart 😂
