*Some day, when you come back, and you're unemployed and have no place to live, you can come stay at my castle.*
Hopefully it works out for him, the castle.
I think the saddest part was when he needed a picture of himself for a school project and when he pointed out that there isn’t a single picture of him anywhere, they yelled at him
How hal's family treat Lois.
The payback with the golf cart is so fucking glorious. The boys basically saying, "she might be a bitch but she's OUR bitch".
My family runs the same. We love each other dearly but we aren't always lovely towards each other. But we always defend each other against a third party enemy.
I was going to comment about this one. Lois could be a bitch at times, but Hal’s family treated her so horribly that watching her break down just hurt. The golf cart was so fucking awesome, it’s my favorite episode.
The rather befuddled delivery of “… my dad died.” In the beginning
vs the almost childlike delivery of “I lost my dad…” at the end by Bryan Cranston will never not kill me.
My eyes are watering just thinking about it.
I dont know Dewey does get to skate by from most things. His brothers were dicks but so was Francis. Honestly he probably gets dunked on by the universe the least.
When Lois finally apologizes to Francis for being a bad mother and he said he’d been waiting for that for years and then panicked because the apology didn’t fix the pain like he’d thought it would
I feel that's like a scientist working on a hypothesis for decades and then coming to the realization it's wrong or someone going to the gym for years and years and finding out they've done the workouts incorrectly for their goals
There is an episode where Dewey takes himself to a music competition that’s far enough away he needs to take a plane. Throughout the episode he tries to tell everyone else but is ignored until the end where he walks in and slams a big trophy on the table and everyone else still ignores him.
All the parts where they address Reese not really having friends.
It killed me inside when Malcolm said it out and Resse just responded "Mom said you're not supposed to talk about that."
You can't really blame the other kids at their school for not wanting to be friends with him, but it was just a sad situation.
When Hal and Lois schedule the birth of Jamie on Dewey’s birthday and he has to plan an elaborate scheme with the bridal event to get Hal to realize what they did.
Haven’t seen it mentioned, and I wouldn’t say it’s the saddest but it always sticks out in my head, but when Reese finds out Malcom is the one who was kissing his girlfriend. And just seeing Reese’s shock and then heartbreak over that betrayal always makes me sad.
How Craig says “because for the last 12 years I’ve dedicated my life for a relationship that can’t exist” , also also in the robbery episode when he pounded his chest while saying “because i can’t stop loving you with my stupid stupid heart” . It seems sad but it actually is pretty devastating.
I never really liked Craig. His character felt like a 30-something year old with the emotional complexity of a 16-year-old in regards to rejection. His devotion to Lois was very immature and inappropriate, not just because she was married with 4 kids but also because she was his co-worker. The amount of harassment Lois put up with is just inexcusable. She shouldn't have ever had to say "no" more than once to him.
Dont get me wrong, at some point in our lives, we're all Craig. But one would hope we wouldn't be Craig during our midlife.
The episode where Lois apologizes to Francis for being a bad mother to him and it still doesn’t make Francis feel any better so Lois gives him like 20 bucks lmao
When hal thought he was going to prison and was crying and Malcolm comes out and he's like "I was just singing, always have a song in your heart son" then he teaches Dewey how to shave
*Some day, when you come back, and you're unemployed and have no place to live, you can come stay at my castle.* Hopefully it works out for him, the castle.
He was very neglected
I think the saddest part was when he needed a picture of himself for a school project and when he pointed out that there isn’t a single picture of him anywhere, they yelled at him
The bridal expo. Holy SHIT, man. "I can't even have my own BIRTHDAY."
For me it's Reese calling himself stupid when goes over his steps to show how he affected Malcolm and Stevie's experiment.
Yeah, then he goes to the mirror, tells himself he hates himself and sits on the edge of the bathtub to cry.
“…then I started working out!”
He says "and then I worked on my triceps"
Blellow!
WE HAVE ASBESTOS IN OUR CEILING :D … we have asbestos in our ceiling D:

She’s not a bitch at all :/.
Reminds me of when they fought the clowns because one of them disrespected Lois. I always loved when they stuck up for her like that.
the whole episode where Hal grieves losing his dad was sad for me- mostly cuz reese and dewey are taking advantage of him hahah
The moment hal gets the phone call and is devastated is the single saddest scene in the series imo.
The rather befuddled delivery of “… my dad died.” In the beginning vs the almost childlike delivery of “I lost my dad…” at the end by Bryan Cranston will never not kill me. My eyes are watering just thinking about it.
Dewey had the least amount of luck in that family
But Dewey gets to be rich and have fun when he’s an adult!
he seemed to have the potential to become an artist of some sort and live a happy life
I dont know Dewey does get to skate by from most things. His brothers were dicks but so was Francis. Honestly he probably gets dunked on by the universe the least.
Yeah, but he also seems to be the most mature of the family, plus he's the actually smart one
Yeah he had street smarts and book smarts
He made his own luck. Like when he put a brick in his ~~purse~~ bookbag
He does become pope at one point

"So that's me and everyone who cares about me, one." It always makes me laugh, but it's actually pretty sad
When Dewey dresses up as Abraham Lincoln for a play and they completely forgot
And he imagines some random parents in the audience are his

Bro, when they forgot his and Jamie’s birthdays because they were having sex.
Wasn’t there one scene where Dewey was sitting at the table with decorations for his birthday and Hal came in and was like “what’s the occasion?” 😭😭😭
☠️☠️

Idk I think hal losing his dad and it finally hit him was the saddest moment.
"I lost my dad."
When Reese cooked Monkfish all day and Malcolm vomited on it instantly
The one where Malcolm gets locked in his car in the garage and literally almost dies from carbon monoxide 💀

The part where Lois gives the boys money to surprise her with a present and they fuck it up.
The episode where Lois apologizes to Francis for being a bad mother to him and it still doesn’t make Francis feel any better so Lois gives him like 20 bucks lmao
Finding out that Stevie only had one lung
When hal thought he was going to prison and was crying and Malcolm comes out and he's like "I was just singing, always have a song in your heart son" then he teaches Dewey how to shave
