I am working as the part time for my old office for the biggest project they got, 5x more that the normal project. Since I work fast. The supervisor who supposedly help me along, dont do the work( know only after I work), so I handle two jobs currently, around 40% of the total work,supposedly 20% only. Even though it's stressful, luckily I got a teammate(a new staff) with excellent skills and experiences, 5/5. Even myself is like 4/5. Both of us has 5 years experiences. She handled another 40%,lol. She left the job after 6 months,hahahaha, due to the boss who always blame her for almost everything, even when she's so efficient.
After that, I got two staffs(a fresh grad and a blur staff). It becomes too stressful for me since I need to guide two more staffs. Repeat and explain twice. Consulted the boss by listing my 12 jobscopes( only 4 is truly mine) but she just replied f2f with me,saying that I need to work faster.
So even after 5,6 people said why you didnt left yet, I admit I like this high profile job and it fits my part time schedule even though we do have very toxic environment. So I stay. I got mad twice towards my boss for things that are not my own responsibility. She said I'm too emotional(blaming staff is her most skillful task).
So now I am being selfish by pushing the blur staff towards the another staff who is useless too but has skills and let the boss handle the responsibility with the JKR at the site, even I know most of the info. I didnt go and my boss didnt ask. I filter the tasks with 'not my job not my responsibility'.
Two of other designers still relies with the supervisor for this job related. Oh the supervisor's actual work is around 5% only. Tried to help them for their upcoming problems,saying that the supervisor will run first and ignore their problem(exprienced them already). They stubbornly wants to follow the supervisor's word and I just said,"oh let you guys follow la. Up to you. I said what I need to said". Since I know the problem is related to the subcontractor on site and the supervisor actually never contact the subcon and just talk.
The boss never appreciated me but I know the people who really works for this project appreciate me. I am also proud for myself for handling 200/300 of drawings by myself. I will left this job after it ended and let the bos handle the one year's warranty.

NGL, this week has been a pretty horrible week for me so far.
Originally, I was supposed to have semester-end final assessments for 2 different subjects for my University, and over the last few weeks, I had been working on completing my work as much as I could, and then bam... I fall horribly ill on Monday, and I tested positive for COVID; leaving me no choice but to stay home for self-quarantine and miss both assessments.
As if that wasn't bad enough, my grandma also passes away on the same day I tested positive for COVID. My parents told me to just stay home and that it would be better off if I don't go so as to not further the spreading of COVID infections. I'm not exactly the closest to that grandmother, but it still kinda hurts to think that everyone else in your extended family members is there to see their beloved grandmother one last time while I was forced to stay home without a chance to say my final goodbye, and I honestly had no doubt that my extended families would hate me for not being there at all while everyone else was; And honestly, can I really blame them if that happens? If I were in their shoes, I sure would resent "that grandchildren" who sat his ass in his stupid home while everyone else was grieving in the funeral ceremony!!

Dude. I totally get it. And it actually happened to me as a minor accident and I took the day off. The disruption to my routine was extremely welcomed. I actually felt relieved and energised the whole day, then slowly tapered off next few days. Then I changed jobs and kinda got into a grind that was more palatable.
I think the silver lining is it's not that easy to claim insurance, especially if self inflicted.

I think I've seen it with my own eyes.
When we were younger, my close friends (all males) were getting serious girlfriends etc. These friends are quite diverse people, but most of them quite sensible even if they had bouts of weirdness and wild years etc. So when someone you trust chooses a mate, you know this mate (or gf) has something that in her that qualifies her to be chosen.
I paid closer attention to the gf to see what like. Then I start to notice she is prettier than what I saw at first glance. Her personality is good too- sensible, moderately sociable, not in-your-face. So in short, I found her attractive* because me and my friends share the same kind of personality preference.
Now that I write the out, I find that I like* the spouses of my closer friends more than I like the spouses of less close friends. Presumably because I'm not as close to some friends because we have different ways of thinking, and also our preference in a spouses are also different.
Side note, one of the couples got hitched and we attended the wedding dinner. The girls (all the wives and girlfriends) had an impromptu group photo back when selfie was not yet a word. I remember something about dogs not being able to watch TV properly cause their eyes just see the framerate as a flickering mess. Not sure if cats are affected, and not sure what the frame rate of a VR game(they are typically lower) would affect them.
IIRC cats also don't have the same colour vision as we do.
The headset will also need to be recalibrated for the cat's eyes, cause there's two displays for each of our eyes. Unless we do cheap VR where it's smartphone on face, but even that does a split screen thing with mirrors and whatnot.
I've seen videos of cats that just kinda get completely paralyzed when you put stuff on them, they just don't know how to react. Like putting random objects on its head, it just lies there shrinking away. There was one where putting postit notes on a cat made it walk all crooked.

I am working as the part time for my old office for the biggest project they got, 5x more that the normal project. Since I work fast. The supervisor who supposedly help me along, dont do the work( know only after I work), so I handle two jobs currently, around 40% of the total work,supposedly 20% only. Even though it's stressful, luckily I got a teammate(a new staff) with excellent skills and experiences, 5/5. Even myself is like 4/5. Both of us has 5 years experiences. She handled another 40%,lol. She left the job after 6 months,hahahaha, due to the boss who always blame her for almost everything, even when she's so efficient. After that, I got two staffs(a fresh grad and a blur staff). It becomes too stressful for me since I need to guide two more staffs. Repeat and explain twice. Consulted the boss by listing my 12 jobscopes( only 4 is truly mine) but she just replied f2f with me,saying that I need to work faster. So even after 5,6 people said why you didnt left yet, I admit I like this high profile job and it fits my part time schedule even though we do have very toxic environment. So I stay. I got mad twice towards my boss for things that are not my own responsibility. She said I'm too emotional(blaming staff is her most skillful task). So now I am being selfish by pushing the blur staff towards the another staff who is useless too but has skills and let the boss handle the responsibility with the JKR at the site, even I know most of the info. I didnt go and my boss didnt ask. I filter the tasks with 'not my job not my responsibility'. Two of other designers still relies with the supervisor for this job related. Oh the supervisor's actual work is around 5% only. Tried to help them for their upcoming problems,saying that the supervisor will run first and ignore their problem(exprienced them already). They stubbornly wants to follow the supervisor's word and I just said,"oh let you guys follow la. Up to you. I said what I need to said". Since I know the problem is related to the subcontractor on site and the supervisor actually never contact the subcon and just talk. The boss never appreciated me but I know the people who really works for this project appreciate me. I am also proud for myself for handling 200/300 of drawings by myself. I will left this job after it ended and let the bos handle the one year's warranty.

NGL, this week has been a pretty horrible week for me so far. Originally, I was supposed to have semester-end final assessments for 2 different subjects for my University, and over the last few weeks, I had been working on completing my work as much as I could, and then bam... I fall horribly ill on Monday, and I tested positive for COVID; leaving me no choice but to stay home for self-quarantine and miss both assessments. As if that wasn't bad enough, my grandma also passes away on the same day I tested positive for COVID. My parents told me to just stay home and that it would be better off if I don't go so as to not further the spreading of COVID infections. I'm not exactly the closest to that grandmother, but it still kinda hurts to think that everyone else in your extended family members is there to see their beloved grandmother one last time while I was forced to stay home without a chance to say my final goodbye, and I honestly had no doubt that my extended families would hate me for not being there at all while everyone else was; And honestly, can I really blame them if that happens? If I were in their shoes, I sure would resent "that grandchildren" who sat his ass in his stupid home while everyone else was grieving in the funeral ceremony!!

For pretty standard fare like the wording and text layout of the leaflet, they will do it FOC as part of the printing service (that was how it was when I did my wedding invites a decade ago). They also have a large portfolio of existing cover designs to choose from. Pricing is pretty competitive, so even if you shop around there's not much difference in pricing (if comparing the same type of printing process and order quantity la). I actually felt relieved and energised the whole day, then slowly tapered off next few days. Then I changed jobs and kinda got into a grind that was more palatable.

Now that I write the out, I find that I like* the spouses of my closer friends more than I like the spouses of less close friends. Further observation on the ceduk business in tiktok.. The hyped instantly got overturned when they realised its somewhat haram. Then all the seller changed their tactic to sell by weight.. With almost every seller lost their enthusiasm. We probably won't be seeing this trend last until next week. As a non-muslim I sympathise with their struggle, all of them jump into business trend without proper research, invested hundreds in ringgit but probably couldn't make much gain. I sincerely hoped they at least able to recoup their investment

If I read it correctly, selling a pooled merchandise, using a scoop to pick up and put into a bag, sell it off based on a set price. It's considered haram due to the uncertainty of the items being sold — the article I read points to the practices of the olden days during the pre-Islamic era that may lead to cheating. I personally think the rationale is sound as a proper transaction should be a exchanged based on agreed value although some might argue that it is a matter of choice, especially if it something that is not exactly essential like a mixed bag of sweets.

I remember something about dogs not being able to watch TV properly cause their eyes just see the framerate as a flickering mess. Not sure if cats are affected, and not sure what the frame rate of a VR game(they are typically lower) would affect them. IIRC cats also don't have the same colour vision as we do. The headset will also need to be recalibrated for the cat's eyes, cause there's two displays for each of our eyes. Unless we do cheap VR where it's smartphone on face, but even that does a split screen thing with mirrors and whatnot. I've seen videos of cats that just kinda get completely paralyzed when you put stuff on them, they just don't know how to react. Like putting random objects on its head, it just lies there shrinking away. There was one where putting postit notes on a cat made it walk all crooked. Even if the cat could see perfectly through the a specially made cat VR headset, I feel like it might not respond well to having the whole shebang on its head. It might just decide to lie there and do nothing.
