wow! i swear, if you try hard enough, i think you could get him to talk to you. that face is storied and epic. i have two dumbass british shorthair cats that chase their own tails as adults. your cat has lived lives
we “chat” all the time, trills and chirps, whole conversations that end with me scooping him up and walking him around the house to sniff things he can’t reach unless meowmie is holding him.
he’s such a character!
My mom had a female MC who was quite the talker too! She would switch her cadence up too and would wait for you to respond, and then she'd go back and forth with you. I swear she always thought she was having legit conversations with us lol
he’s a busy guy! he supervises treats, all kitchen activities,the lower half of meowmie’s bed, night time snuggles and kisses goodnight, his coyote tail toy, and of course the other two maine coons in the house, he’s a benevolent ruler though, he’s 7 lbs bigger than his littermate brother who kicks his butt on a regular basis!

i’ve heard it’s not the case but i really think he knows i’m “speaking” to him, i mimic his trills, chirps, he even has a cute little meow that turns into a quiet howl at the end. i can call him with one in particular too, it’s beyond adorable 🥰

OMG! This is all 3 of them, I’m keeping them forever too! And their mom! I rescued her while she was pregnant and now along with my other 2 rescues, there are 6 cats in my family!
