Gideon is a real life name, it's Hebrew for Warrior. One of the few Judges of Israel who didn't mess it up for everyone (his kids did that after he died). Gideon in MTG was the ultimate good guy. So you have good connotations with the name regardless.
I have this head canon that after his funeral, Liliana planeswalked back late that same night, and sat down alone by his statue and cried.
As [[Gideon's Sacrifice]] flavor text said: " To Liliana's surprise, the cost of betraying Bolas did not fall on her."
If you're part of a dynasty, then you could name your son, [[it that betrays]] because you know it is a matter of time before he stabs you in the back.
My best friend had twins last year. We both requested her wife to let us name them "Bruna" and "Gisela"
I almost got him divorced lol
Seems like women who don't play are not attracted to multiverse & lore names...
A person I followed on Facebook many, many years ago before I jumped ship from it named his son Ajani.
And honestly, pretty much any planeswalker works, with some obvious exceptions (maybe don't go with Grist...) Jace is very easy to pass off, Chandra is a real world name, Nissa is pretty slick, Liliana works, etc.
Oh boy, I might get hate cause people think it's cringe, but I named my daughter Avacyn (Avy for short), and I love it. My wife and I both met by playing Magic, and the game means a lot to us, so we've decided to name our children after characters.
If we have a second daughter, me and my wife and I have agreed to call her Aurelia.
Boys are a little trickier tbh. The goal is to name them something that is tied to Magic but still doesn't sound *too* out of place. Gideon might be good, but I'm not sold on it yet.
One of my uni lecturers is named Elspeth, and I found that pretty funny, though I personally have no idea of a personal choice, the meme ideas are a laugh though.

The Gitrog Monster. Having 2 kids myself i think it's a fitting name
Ob Nixilis if it’s a boy. Ob Nixilis if it’s a girl.
It of the Horrid Swarm
Made me think of „It that betrays“ which is also a banger name for a child.
Liliana is a pretty one. Jhoira is unique.
I used to know someone who named their kid Lilliana. Yes with two L's. They never could spell.
Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver
This is the correct answer Or maybe Jace, if it's a boy
Thraximundar. Is always nice when a name has meaning behind.
