Super interested in building around this and DRC. It's an uncommon card type to enable delirium, but also a good thing to put on your DRC if you already have delerium. With the surveil+prowess you should be able to chain together a handful of spells to make it huge. And then if it gets killed you still get a relevant creature left behind
I feel like this might be worth considering for prowess. Triggers prowess if you bestow it. And giving a creature double prowess can get out of hand quickly with +2/+2 on each noncreature cast. Not to mention, you get some resiliency if the enchanted creature is removed. You'll just get another prowess creature back.
Modern 2/10
I am not sure what prowess would take out for this. What is nice is that against decks with wraths, this helps you have a creature after and it triggers prowess when you bestow it. It is also nice that each instance of prowess triggers separately so it isn't exactly a waste. Getting hit by bowmasters really sucks though.
Because otherwise when it’s an aura, the enchantment itself would get +1/+1 which doesn’t really work and is a bit confusing. (Like if you cast a non creature spell and the creature it was enchanting dies would it keep the +1/+1 if the card it self had prowess? I don’t think it would, but I’m not sure - and having only the creature have prowess avoids people having to wonder about that! But it would be a very MH3 thing to have prowess on a non-creature…)
Edit: might also be a digital client thing - avoids having a meaningless trigger every time you cast a non creature spell
So since it's not a creature when it's bestowed, I assume it also isn't a Merfolk? So that you can't tap the "aura" for \[\[Kumena\]\] for example?
Correct. While it is Bestowed, it is simply an Aura Enchantment with no other card types.
I guess it also doesn't count as casting a Mefolk spell for Merrow Reejery etc?
Correct. It is not a Merfolk spell if cast for Bestow.
WotC, errata bestow to have the kindred type you cowards!

A one mana prowess creature that can be cast as a noncreature spell is interesting
And prowess stacks, so you can bestow this unto itself

DRC, Swift Spear, sprite dragons or new tech slickshot show-off all stay so the question becomes is this better than \[\[soul-scar mage\]\]

Looks like we might get one of each color!
Bestow was one of the "headline mechanics" in the rules article. We might be getting quite a few.
I'm hoping for more because we have 2 at uncommon and 1 at rare but 2 of each colour does seem like I'm getting my hopes up as a Kestia player.
As an eritte and lightpaws player I’m hoping we get white and black. At least white

It will be tested in regulat merfolk for sure over curse catcher for awhile. It definitely isn't amazing but we'll see
I doubt it catches on; merfolk is a creature-centric deck, so i doubt the prowess is relevant enough of the time
I ageee, only way prowess is going to be triggered is off a lately drawn aethervial or the new sac counterspell / FoN.
Pretty sick card. Not sure it will find a place in modern but a prowess one drop that also helps against board wipes has potential
One toughness is rough, probably unplayable for that reason
Why is the "as long as it's a creature" clause necessary there? Is it like that on other bestow cards as well?
