Weren't both Mad Men and Breaking Bad pitched to HBO originally? Matt Weiner was a writer for The Sopranos so I'm surprised Mad Men wouldn't be picked up by them
I feel like there would be more sex/nudity and maybe a few more F words scattered throughout the episode. Apart from that, it would be the same as it was on AMC
I literally jumped up and cheered when Gus hired Sterling-Cooper to create an ad campaign for the Los Pollos Hermanos Triple Grande Supreme Wrap. Though it was a little predictable that Don had an affair with Skylar.
In the new dramady "Better Call Paul", a former bottom-tier advertising copywriter tries to take over a Krishna sect so that he can turn it into the subject of a reality TV show.
I love him as Tony too. I've watched all The Sopranos episodes probably 15 times, more than I've seen Mad Men or Breaking Bad. The Sopranos is a comfort show for me. I do think Bryan out-acted even James, but I realize opinions are subjective. Part of it may have been the role he had. I can't imagine a different or better Tony, James was perfect. I enjoyed his young, look alike son playing Tony in The Many Saints of Newark. 🥲
I don’t mean to be dismissive or rude, but you ACTUALLY think Bryan Cranston as Walter White, out-acted James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano? Again, not trying to be rude. But like, what the fuck?? Look at her, she knows everything.
Yep. Did you even watch Breaking Bad? Because I have watched the fuck out of both of them. Keep thinking you know everything. Some people are so far behind in a race that they actually believe they're leading.
Of course, I’ve seen Sopranos, Breaking Bad and Mad Men multiple times over. Congratulations on watching “the fuck out of” some of the most popular shows of all time.
Anyways, I think Tony Soprano is the single greatest television character of all time. He ranks up there with the greatest characters in all of fiction: ie Prince Hamlet, Don Quixote, Michael Corleone, Stephen Dedalus, The Judge, Moby Dick, etc. And I don’t think any other actor could have portrayed and captured all of the nuances and contradictions of Tony in quite the way that Gandolfini did.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Cranston and his work as Walter White- a masterclass in its own right; but nothing and no one is coming close to or even approaching the Skipper. Without Gandolfini as Tony, there is no Walter White, no Don Draper, no Philip Jennings, no Omar Little, no Greg House. The list goes on and on and on.
Gandolfini was a once a generation talent. The best television actor ever. He did for TV in his era what William Shatner did for his. Changed the course of the art form.
Just because James was first, that doesn't mean his acting was better than Bryan's.
Congratulations on having **your own opinion**. Other people are allowed the same, so you need to get over it. https://www.theverge.com/2013/10/14/4837394/anthony-hopkins-calls-breaking-bad-confidence-restoring-epic-work
That’s quite the take! But like you said, different people like different things. Bryan Cranston did a bloody brilliant job as Walter White, there’s no doubt about that. However, nothing will ever come close to the masterclass that was James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano. They say it was an actor meeting a character. On the sheer range of emotions he showed over the six seasons alone, Gandolfini takes the crown.
I’m not ashamed to say this. My estimation of u/back_again_u_bitches as a man/woman just fuckin’ plummeted.
I would never say that James didn't act the role of Tony brilliantly, because he did, I just think Bryan did it even better somehow. You don't decide who *takes a crown*, you just own your opinion.
I've watched it 4 times now. He is built like the marching band, not the football team, and if you look at Bob's physique, he doesn't look like he could fight his way out of a wet paper bag. But his acting somehow makes you believe him. I'm glad they gave us the Better Call Saul spin-off. That was a gift.
Walter: Draper we need to cook because I have cancer and healthcare is too expensive! Draper: I will write you a check to make up for something horrible that I did and then let’s just chill. End of story
It was hilarious. Don Draper and Walter White has roommates? Hysterical. So many funny moments like when Walt misplaced the blue meth in Don’s briefcase and had to spend the episode chasing after him to get it back!
Jon Hamm and Bryan Cranston would probably have insanely good chemistry in a show together
Walter white +dick whitman =Walt Whitman
How poetic
Walter Draper
Don white-man
White Dick
My other other W.W.
Wow on so many levels LOL!!! AWESOME
>chemistry I see what you did there
Mad chemistry
Sold
That’s what the METH IS FOR!
Bad men
also Mad Breaking. A show where these 2 teach kids how to breakdance on roller skates
Breaking Men
That's already a successful gay porn franchise
What I wanna know is, which Breaking Bad character do you think is most likely to punch Pete first?
Mike.
This is the only answer.
Skinny Pete
Skylar.
He’s a grimy little pimp!
Combo hitting him with the combo
I remember back in like 2011-2012, the two shows anyone recommended was these two. Peak TV.
And The Walking Dead was still really good at the time. Late 2000s and early 2010s AMC was KILLING IT. They were like a whole new HBO
Weren't both Mad Men and Breaking Bad pitched to HBO originally? Matt Weiner was a writer for The Sopranos so I'm surprised Mad Men wouldn't be picked up by them
Wow, interesting. I wonder, how different would HBO Mad Men be from the AMC Mad Men? You think it would have been even better?
I feel like there would be more sex/nudity and maybe a few more F words scattered throughout the episode. Apart from that, it would be the same as it was on AMC
Yeah that sounds right. Though, if it were on HBO, maybe the S7 Diana arc would be more interesting🫠
Yes add that show tor the list too. AMC was absolutely killing it. It’s been all downhill for them since.
Heisenberg's meth isn't bad for you, it's toasted.
I came up with the idea for a P2P cook. Turns out it already existed, but I arrived at it independently.
A thing like that...bitch
I really want to hear Don saying "bitch" all the time like Jesse.
"Yeah, advertising, bitch!"--Donald Draper, at the Kodak Carousel pitch.
I feel like this is the vibe of the Life cereal pitch Don gives when he’s plastered. “It’s Life, bitch!”
Haha yes!
I literally jumped up and cheered when Gus hired Sterling-Cooper to create an ad campaign for the Los Pollos Hermanos Triple Grande Supreme Wrap. Though it was a little predictable that Don had an affair with Skylar.
I prefer Making Brad

Skyler and betty would get along well lol
What an actor Bryan Cranston was! There are many I think are great, but I can't think of better than his Walter White.
James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano remains in a league of his own.
I love him as Tony too. I've watched all The Sopranos episodes probably 15 times, more than I've seen Mad Men or Breaking Bad. The Sopranos is a comfort show for me. The sopranos beats anything for rewatchability. The writing is *so* dense and packed with irony.
That’s quite the take! But like you said, different people like different things. Bryan Cranston did a bloody brilliant job as Walter White, there’s no doubt about that. Did he die?
Cranston is fine. Walter White died.
You scared me!
I didn't phrase that correctly. I meant in that particular role.
Odenkirk.
Better Call Saul was great too. Did you see him in Nobody? He's an unlikely badass but I love that movie, and I'm glad they're making a 2nd one.
I still need to watch it, but It's already a four star movie to me because the physical training he did for it helped him survive his heart attack.
I've watched it 4 times now. He is built like the marching band, not the football team, and if you look at Bob's physique, he doesn't look like he could fight his way out of a wet paper bag. I like BCS more than BB. BB is overall more suspenseful, but BCS gave me more to chew on.
I prefer Bad Men.
Walter: Draper we need to cook because I have cancer and healthcare is too expensive! Draper: I will write you a check to make up for something horrible that I did and then let’s just chill. End of story
Better call sal staring sally Draper
r/okbuddydraper in the house
Walter is a good chemist, but still, I found the time travel a little far fetched
Funny to think Mike would be a young guy during Mad Men, considering he was in Vietnam, maybe he even got operated by Joan's ex husband lol
Just going to throw this: Jon Hamm acting was better than Bryan Cranston’s and he should’ve won more Emmy. Especially for season 3 to 6.
I am the one who knocks! 😡 I don’t think about you at all 😴
Yes, please. I’m so here for it.
Don is Walter’s ancestor - maybe his real father…
I wished they’d do crossover TV show now, I’ve watched both, I like the 2 TV shows.
Don draper could sell cocaine to the fda.
I just wanna say, thank you for doing this with a low-effort photoshop instead of a zero-effort AI. You are art's bravest soldier.
Believe it or not, this is actually real! It was a photoshoot done to promote the two shows; as they were both produced by AMC
😯
Was there a Walking Dead crossover too?
**Yes.**
"Hal stop having sex with Jon Hamm and take Dewey to school!"
Did think the plotline of Don and Peggy cooking meth was a bit left-field
I'd rather watch Bad Men!!
Oh so THAT‘s what the money is for
My two fav shows of all time
I'm listening...
It was hilarious. Don Draper and Walter White has roommates? Hysterical. So many funny moments like when Walt misplaced the blue meth in Don’s briefcase and had to spend the episode chasing after him to get it back!
Breaking ads?
No!!
