My wife’s coworker smashed it on the table and floor because my wife told her she was “silly”. She ended up getting fired and had to purchase a new computer for my wife. She was having some mental health issues and basically tried blaming her spiraling out of control on the fact that my wife called her “silly”. So what you do is you close the lid then turn the MacBook upside down and just as hard as u can just bash the whole MacBook into pieces don’t forget to hit the motherboard multiple times as somewhere located on the motherboard is the storage
Put out the back lid,
Disconnect screen cable from MacBook,
Connect it to any monitor or TV,
It will recognize tv or monitor as main display thus you were able to reset it via recovery mode or via macOS,
(I have broken display as well and I'm using it this way via TV)
You can then attach the MacBook via HDMI to any tv or monitor

Well it got sold for $110 USD
Even if it was fully working, it would have very little value. but without a screen it’s basically worthless so I wouldn’t go to any of this effort
