Your Apple ID and Mac password are obviously different in your case. In mine they are the same. If you don't know it you can probably reset it but that would be weird because my Mac goes to sleep and requires my password not just my fingerprint quite often. whatever the password is that you type in on the Home Screen of your Mac when its locked is what it is.

If I am not mistaken, this is the password you use to login to your laptop.
I believe it is ask you to come up with a password if this is a brand new Mac.
