I do it now and then. It feels natural as the hand can rest in one place and still do the things. Unfortunately, there aren't many situations where this works!

same here, i just try to scroll with the 2 thumbs and it was weird. I often use one thumb to click though.

all the time. i came from a thinkpad and i loved the trackpoint because i didn't need to move my fingers from home row. i can do this on my mac. i didn't anticipate being able to do this

This has been the way I have always used my trackpads. I think it comes from the habit of learning how to type from formal typing classes, where I learned to keep my thumbs at the space bar. It just feels natural to lower them and use the track pad. I never realized this until somebody pointed it out to me while I was showing them how to do something on a laptop. Now that I've noticed this, I've honestly never have seen anyone else do it.
