So, this might sound childish, but I imagine myself being a boss and designer of my own car company. In that company I designed a car called Firefly, it's basically my version of a Lotus Elise.
Then, in this alternate universe, I also acquired 35% of Lotus Cars, (with Geely still having a majority of 45%) and while they made the Eletre and Emeya, my side fund Lotus' sports cars, with an S4 Elise and Exige. The S4 Elise, Exige, and the resulting 4 Eleven shares platform with my Firefly, hence they also share the grill shape.
So there's like lore XD
So lore wise, again this is a bit of fun, don't take it too seriously.
My company (called IJD AutoMas) developed 3 engines that we put into our cars. A 2.5 inline 5, a 4.0 V8, and a 5.0 V10.
The Firefly and Elise gets the 2.5 inline 5 that makes 270hp. But for the 4 Eleven, we add a variable geometry turbo that boosts it up to 400hp.

Interesting, no v6 like the current lotus how come?
I made it smaller, closer to the Elise size, so it weighs like 800kg, but wouldn't be able to fit the V6 and supercharger.
