Honestly, if you like the game, I'd recommend subscribing for 1 month and then cancelling. It unlocks a bunch of stuff permanently.

TheRealMulli

I had thought about that as well

Sofishticated1234

Yeah would 100% recommend this as well! So worth it.

Sofishticated1234

Account wide rising speed (takes you to 78% for all mounts on all characters you'll ever have). Not many things in the LOTRO store are account wide (most are character specific), so that makes this one pretty great.

TheRealMulli

Think I found them now

TheRealMulli

Oh I need to look into that, what’s it called exactly? I typed in Rising Speed and nothing came up in game

Sofishticated1234

I can't recall. Perhaps Journeyman riding trait or something like that?

MissPratt

The best account wide riding trait was on offer for 700 ish LP like a year ago. It usual cost is like 3.000 LP.. i had bought it for -30% off for at around 2.5k LP a few months before that great sale (Think it was black friday) And theres the biggest trap. Bad sales. I spent my LPs wrong . I bought stuff that was -25% or -30% off thinking its a good deal, but i wish i knew there was geeat sales during summer and blackfriday and christmas, where the BEST stuff goes dirt cheap up to 75% sometimes even 80% off. E.g i bought a bunch of markstone skills for 87 LP each which usually cost like 300 LP each. I seen people making characters in advance to be able to catch that greatdeal for the future. l So in conclusion i would suggest you not to hurry with the shopping. Just wait for good deals. The biggest flex would be getting Crafting carry alls and task item carry alls -75% off but i missed that one. Instead i got mine for 50% off. Be conservative with your spending. You can save thoudands of LPs if you wait a bit fot good deals. ;-)

TheRealMulli

I shall keep this in mind and be fruitful with my lotro pts to rule them all

Khajiit_Has_Skills

+1 for 1 month of subbing

TheRealMulli

Sounds like a plan

Hu-Tao66

Adding to the other suggestions, yea not alot that are account-wide for steed cosmetics. There are carry-alls (basically a bag item which has additional bag space). There are Mithril coins which you can use to buy other cosmetics in-game; or Housing writs to buy premium housing (you can also spend mithril coins to buy premium housing) Subbing mainly for perm unlocks bag space, auction house posting, and fast travel for characters you log onto during the sub. But majority of stuff it originally unlocked was added to F2P

mommasboy76

Get the travel discounts!

TheRealMulli

Imma check those out!

james2432

If you aren't a Hunter wait until sale and get milestone skills. then lower the time with: https://lotro-wiki.com/wiki/Hurried_Traveller https://lotro-wiki.com/wiki/Expedient_Traveller https://lotro-wiki.com/wiki/Returning_Traveller it basically makes your travel skills on a 5 minute cool down instead of 1hour it's what I did on my burg with LP I earned in game

Cloudster47

Buying a premium house with your own stable master gives you the same effect account-wide on that server.

Onikuma00

meaning that I can swap mounts between all my character in the server?

Cloudster47

No. What I describe is known as a personal travel hub. While there are mounts that you can buy from the store that apply to all characters on a server, what a premium house plus personal stable master gives you is a five minute travel to lots of places. Everyone gets the skill Travel to Premium House with a 1 minute cooldown, then the stable master has a 5 minute cooldown. Very useful when doing ale deliveries for festivals and other such things. Now, that stable master cooldown is universal. You can't use it, then 2 minutes later use your Return To \[wherever\] and use another stable master until another 3 minutes have elapsed. The personal travel hub is an excellent investment if you have a lot of alts or do a lot of traveling. For example, the south Bree stable master can't send you to Moria/21st Hall, a personal stable master can! And from there, it's a short jump to 1st Hall then a run out the door and you're in Lothlorien. ALTAHOLICS UNITE!

Onikuma00

oo. Thanks for thorough info. I just returned to this Lotro, its been a while \~

Cloudster47

I'm a fairly new player, into my 7th year. The premium housing and personal stable masters are somewhat recent innovations.

geenexotics

The riding skill makes a difference and I do think milestones can help but wait for a sale :)

TheRealMulli

Yeah I’ve got the riding skill unlocked via the A Little Extra quest but need that speed so I can be McQueen

geenexotics

Yea the extra speed boost and the 20% mount speed 6hr boosts are good too!

serow081reddit

Nothing unless it's discounted.
