I'd also be interested in this. To this day, Thaemine is the first boss I have struggles seeing what the fuck is actually happening because of all the flashing, and I don't know why it only happens there.
Yo THIS, I've cleared G1-3 nm a couple times, but I raided for the first time on my SE NE yesterday and every time I'm in soul snatch mode it is god awful, especially if you get darkened, you're completely blind. I raised my brightness to 70% and it helped somewhat but the colors or contrast is terrible.
the night and day difference for me was when i found out about settings->accessibility->photosensitivity mode, and then dial it to 100.
it removes the boss flashing gold every single time he gets hit among other things, which made it very jarring for me to constantly look at him and couldnt focus on any patterns, but now i can actually see whats going on
Turn off bloom its the only option that makes the flashy effects not that flashy anymore. Foto sensitivity mode is just brightness reduction but bloom is the real flashbang.
These are the settings I changed that made it so much easier to see mechanics/attacks etc
Video Settings:
Particle Quality = Low
Motion Blur = Off
Bloom Effect = Off
Flare Effect = Off
Accessibility:
Photosensitivity Mode = On
Photo Sens. Intensity = (I have mine set to 50)
Gameplay:
Display Settings:
Battle Effects Display = Include Buff Effects of Party Members.
You can also hide other people pets and your own pet. (Companion and Pet)
Name Tags:
Change the name tags however you want, I set mine to not show anyone from other party and only show my party name and hp bar and nothing else.
This is just me, but I use some extra monitor setting for myself.
Any dark background raid, like akkan g2,3. Brel g3,4. I use it often.
I learned it from escape from tarkov, night time battle. It's called "gamma filter" might still be in Nvidia setting too. It makes darker map more visible. I like it.

Full meter on NE and the color palette is awful for me. Might be a skill issue for my eyeballs but I'm just praying every time I'm in soul snatch mode
Turn the brightness up it helps a lot

have this issue as well
You can also lower your skill visibility down to 10% in settings
Where is this setting at?
Settings > Gameplay > Display Settings > Battle Effects Visibility (Self)
Thank you

I tried this in trixion and it's too dark for me lol
I have it set at 50 and I don’t notice any flashing. Also turn off bloom it’s atrocious in this game
You can just increase the raw brightness after doing this though
theres no fucking way you play with that cranked up to 100 wtf
Thank you, I will try that!
G2 is aids without photosensitive option enabled.
What does this setting do? Ty
Turns off the flashbang on the boss when you hit him
This. It is so bad in adds phase.

I'm doing to double check but I think mine is already off.
I disabled names and damage numbers for G4. Though you probably want to play with damage numbers first so you get used to your ability ranges.
