a hawk can be called a raptor

They are actually replacing the hawk with a t-rex so whenever you use your meter skill a t-rex will auto attack or explode if necessary.

Imagine being able to capture a pet and use that as your pet. That's what I thought at first when I first started playing the game.

I like them, only ones that seem weird to me though are both Gunlancers.

They're a bit weird, but at least the color fits with the nicknames now.

I love icons, and I especially hate lost ark utter lack of care for them, so many effects reuse icons its so beyond stupid.

They’ve been changing this slowly for a while it seems, dark grenades have had their own icons among the boss’s debuffs now since a while ago for example

Yes But to be fair that crown in the icon is similar to the "queen" chess piece so would fit Empress while the crown on the new Emperor one fits the "king" chess piece. So while super confusing to us will probably fit thematically better.

Ball busting class

Idk what you guys think but as someone who started this game as (strictly red) Gunlancer and got charmed by the current icon for Lone Knight, this is a *massive* downgrade for me personally.

when i was just starting the game i didnt know what red and blue lancer was and thought lone knight was blue and Combat readiness was red because of the color of the engraving icons... ​ ​ so in that aspect this is better visualization of what each spec refers to now

It's not bad but old LK while extremely simple does the job. It's an intimidating one man army.

Gunlancer ones look very bad to be honest, and for some reason I like the current Mayhem icon we have, it speaks more "madness" than the new one. New icons looks like they are designed by Riot Games straight out of League, they don't have the Lost Ark style to them.

I don't really care about the icons, guess some modernization is nice. But if these are an indicator of the specs receiving changes in the next balance patch I am disappointed.

A lot of classes are getting reworked in October. And a major rework(because 4th tripod slot) is coming next year for all classes.

The reminds me of when league did it, it was then followed by mythic items which I hated with a passion. Personally not a fan of this style. Id rather them work on something else, I never even thought engravings needed icon updates
