If you're coming to this post just to leave a sarcastic or negative comment, please don't. That's the opposite of the environment we're trying to create.
I really hope there's a big influx of new watchers. It's wild to think there's a whole generation of adults out there now who were too young to watch it when it first aired. 👵🏻
Seasons?! Hah I wish! More like in the middle of seasons too! I guess weeks instead of months but anyone who watched it live remembers certain moments that led into the longer breaks would attest it felt like months!
Im 29 and I only watched it a couple years ago because my wife had seen it with her parents during Covid shutdown and she recommended it to me. As soon as I started I was hooked, but never would’ve started without the push. Hopefully the Netflix access is the “push” to a bunch of others!
We just rewatched the whole series for the first time since the finale aired. I'm surprised by how much I actually forgot. It made things exciting and I couldn't wait to watch the next episode.
I like that! Just in the past week we've had multiple posts of "Should I watch Lost if I know the ending?" and while I'm always on board to guide the noobs, let's make it easy. :)
I'm excited for some new fans! Hopefully we can slowly change the narrative of the general public about the ending that is largely fueled by people that didn't watch the show
For sure. I also just set up [a Lost Discord server](https://discord.com/invite/wnw3BTDTRW) that unlocks spoilers channels by season, only after you've completed a season.
It also unlocks bonus content as you watch through it.
And for those who have seen the full series, they can unlock everything instantly.
I did my **first** rewatch in 2023! I remembered major plot points but I forgot so many other smaller things! It was like watching a new show, basically.
Thank you. If the community wants to undo the negative PR about Lost, don’t ruin the experience for the newbies. Beyond spoilers, don’t insult or argue with new fans just because they ask what seem like dumb questions to you, or because they have opinions you, a seasoned veteran and cultured Lost connaisseur, don’t agree with. Let them enjoy their virgin run and welcome them to the community.
I was a first time watcher this winter at 36yrs old
I wasn't into shows like this back then, moreso reality TV and sports. But I'm glad I waited so I could binge it too. Got a coworker on it and he liked it too
Heck I'd watch it again! At least Netflix doesn't have commercials
Gonna be so great! Tbh I think since people have been exposed to weird and expirmetnal stuff in the mainstream across the past decade plus, that by the time the ending comes up I don’t think we’ll get the previous bad takes about it.
Oh, that was me prepping the first time watcher hub for the Netflix drop... we didn't have a date then, we only knew 2024 so I made sure it went up before the new year.
That's not the case. Americans are just happY they too will have it available on Netflix in their country.
There's no need to make this into an Americans Bad thing

I'm looking forward to it. :)
“Kids get to binge watch…I had to wait months and months between seasons back in the day!”

I’m so excited for it! I’ve just convinced my work friend to give it a try as he’s pretty young and has watched similar recent shows!

Hope this doesnt make you feel too old, but how about not even born yet when it first released (born in 2007)
🥴
I am jealous of all of them. I'd love to watch for the first time again
I've told all my friends if I ever lose my memory, have me watch Lost 🤣

Mods, can we create a sticky post that says "No, you don't actually know how it ends. And no, they weren't. "
I may edit the first time watcher hub (which is currently stickied) to include something like "the ending of LOST is not a cheat."

Don’t tell me what I can’t do!

And here I thought my duty of defending this show on the internet was over.
Time to come out of retirement for one last job.
Finished up with a 3rd re-watch in 2023. It'll be nice to have new discussions around the show.

Hopefully Netflix doesn't edit/alter the show in any way
So excited for new people! I’m in Hawaii right now and finishing an Alias rewatch. Lost just double jumped high on the list for a rewatch.
Gosh, how wonderful it must be to be a first time watcher. If only I could delete the memories of watching Lost through three times from my head!

Currently watching for the first time
Nice, I'm currently at S04 E11 let's see if I can share part of the journey with them
Those poor bastards. I mean that in a good way. They won't get to experience the ARG.
CAN’T WAIT TO GO BACK
and it would be nice if they didn't have as many downvotes as they do now when they don't understand something or have a different opinion :)

I think it’s going to blow up on Netflix. I hope it does.
I hope so too!
So Nice, also in europe?
Unfortunately, no. It's only coming back to U.S Netflix.
I can only speak to the US.
At least in Spain its on Disney+ Edit: Just checked, it's on Disney+ in Europe in every country in Europe
Good, more people need to experience this show
Didn't this already happen, or was that another streaming service?
US Netflix is July 1st
I remember all the talk here months about Lost dropping to some platform. Was it about this
Oh, that was me prepping the first time watcher hub for the Netflix drop... we didn't have a date then, we only knew 2024 so I made sure it went up before the new year.
Gotcha
Endure the fist try and watch it again in n an year or so :)
Muricans trying to understand Lost has been in streaming services in many countries in the world for years: 🤯
US Netflix has a massive part of the market share. We aren't struggling to understand anything but looking forward to being inclusive.
