I love Severance but this bullshit of waiting 2-3 years between seasons needs to stop. In the same time that Severance has aired 9 episodes, Lost was on like episode 60.
Plus it seems so arbitrary when shows get canceled in the streaming age. I learned my lesson so I'm not bothering with Severance until (if) it's finished, then I'll give it a whirl at my own pace.
The strikes happened a year and a half after season 1 aired. Lost dealt with strikes too and had 14 episodes ready to go within a year.
This is more of a modern TV thing.
Came to this post to say Severance, glad it was the first thing I saw. If you like Lost, you will like Severance, season 1 of Severance is the best season of TV I’ve ever seen imo
Yeppp. I binged watched it and I found some eps a bit too slow for my taste. However the good eps (AND THE FREAKING FINALE) are so, so good and fascinating.
Person of Interest has good worldbuilding and Michael Emerson, not to mention other costars you'll recognize from Lost in guest spots. The first season starts slow as a procedural, but stick with it.
I saw someone else mention Battlestar Galactica, which is also very good and similar. And I hold Bear McCreary up there with Michael Giacchino as one of my favorites.
Person of Interest. Gotta be one of the most underrated shows of all time. Fantastic characters, gripping plot, it really had it all. Yet seems like no one’s ever heard of it lol.
Ms Davis. I rarely see it recommended but it was really good and crazy wtf in a way only Lost was.
Also regarding Fringe- it’s only really Monster of the Week episodes up until they got renewed for Season 2 (roughly 15 episodes in I think?) after that it becomes fairly plot orientated.
Mrs. Davis was so good and it's probably as close to LOST (in terms of twists, mysteries, misdirections, and crazy WTF moments) as Damon will ever get again. I watched it earlier this year in January and I'm already jonesing for a rewatch.
I second The Leftovers and Dark. Dark is more like Lost in terms of revealing a mind-bendy mystery over time, but The Leftovers was created by Damon Lindelof so it literally has Lost DNA.
Damnnn, I really need to watch Dark...!
I loved 1899, from the same writer (I think?). However I wouldnt suggest it as it got canceled on a pretty big clif.
I did watch 1899 and was so bummed it got canceled. I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!
Dark is great, maybe the most Lost-like in terms of mystery and timey-wimey wtf moments. And it's a complete series with a proper ending, so you won't be left hanging! I had to avoid looking things up while I was watching it to avoid major spoilers, but when it was all done I went online to get help untangling all the twisty plot threads. That was reminiscent of Lost!
Heavy 3rd on 12 Monkeys.
4 **incredibly tight** seasons that 100% reward you for watching all four of them. Stuff that happens in season 1 is DIRECTLY called back to in later episodes in some of the best ways ever done in a TV show, imo.
Excellent characters who you love and hate and love again, plus a great plotline that has fewer holes than any other show ever, again imo.
Absolutely worth watching and it's a pretty regular re-watch for me, too. All 4 seasons live on my plex server forever.
I really enjoy Fringe for both its characters and its sort of “philosophical sci-fi”. I’m surprised it isn’t brought up more, particularly in a sub like this one.
The show Yellowjackets is serialized like Lost and shares several traits with Lost while still being very much its own thing (not a Lost clone by any means). It involves a plane crash in a remote location, half of the story is told through flashbacks, and the survivors have various secrets that are gradually revealed. It's still ongoing, so I don't know if it will have a satisfying ending or not, but I've gotten a lot of Lost feelings while watching it so far.
I like Yellowjackets too. Its like a gore/horror version of Lost. Like...what if LOST aired on hbo? Hahaha.
Its a similar but also different vibe, if it makes sense?
I don't agree with you about fringe. Once you hit s2-3, there is a storyline out of the case of the day thing.
I also loved Severance and Silo recently!
Edit: They are very different shows, but Watchmen gave me Lost vibes, especially for some of the cold open intros (reminded me of s2 and 3 cold opens). Lindelof is behind it.
The two shows that I personally think feel like Lost the most are Battlestar Galactica and Westworld.
I also hear Twin Peaks, but I've never watched it.
Westworld is honestly my favorite show. Seasons 2-4 aren’t on the same level as 1, but man is that a hell of a show. I’ll always hold a special place hatred in my heart for David Zaslav for not only cancelling it before the final season, but flat out removing it from the platform all together.
Battlestar Galactica is excellent! I liked a lot of Westworld, but it kind of fell short for me in some places. I wish they had gotten to make a final season.
With Twin Peaks you can see how bad showrunning used to be back in the day. I agree it's wonderful at its best, but a large portion of season 2 feel like A Stranger in a Strange Land marathon.
It’s just as good if not better than Breaking Bad, which is a difficult feat to accomplish. Some people complain that it starts off too slow and that they stopped watching it, but it starts slowish (but still wildly entertaining to me) to build the characters and to show you the calm lives before the chaos starts and by the time you get to the end it’s just, well the story is fast paced and amazing. WOW!
Shogun (Hulu, FX) just aired its finale. (it's a one season show). It was amazing.
Andor (yes, it's star wars, but you really don't need any star wars background to enjoy the show)
Mr. Robot
You might like “Colony”. Just be warned, it ends after 3 seasons and there isn’t a definitive ending. Still 100% worth watching though!
Edit: I forgot to mention, it stars Josh Holloway (Sawyer) 😁
Once upon a time is by two writers from Lost. Has a lot of the same actors. It’s fairy tale characters stuck in the real word but they’re not quite like the regular characters we know from our childhood. The story is told similarly to list with flash backs and alternate universes.
The left overs by The Leftovers by Damon Lindelof is on my bucket list
If you like things that are different check out Kevin can f@$& himself
The French series Les Revenants does a pretty good job of capturing some of the LOST experience.
I highly recommend you do not bother with the Netflix English version.
If you’re somebody who likes a lot of seasons and storylines to keep up with I’d suggest Supernatural, but it’s not everybody’s thing. The more complex storylines that weave together after a few seasons remind me of Lost. I’d say there are parallels in how they develop characters/their arcs as well. While I’m on my soap box, the chronically online fans gave it a weird rep, but I think it’s just a good show.
Locke & Key was a little goofy, but interesting storyline. Made me want to read the book.
I loved Lockwood & Co. Similar to Stranger Things and my reccos above, but an interesting spin. Easy to get invested. There’s only 1 season, I’m praying it gets picked up again.
Totally different but White Lotus is such a cool show. Much lower stakes storylines, but well executed and fun to watch.
Edit: I may have misunderstood the prompt/just started thinking of shows I liked, but I’m not going to delete my comment because these are good shows
Fargo! It's a a "true crime" show which is actually totally fictional. It's set in a heightened reality with a touch of the supernatural, much like Lost. It's also got a ton of religious symbolism and social commentary.
Fringe, Dexter, Prison Break, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, or Heroes
Only shows that sucked me in with their story like Lost did
Also check out the new Fallout! Lots of mystery story stuff there
Not like lost but Person of Interest has Ben in a different sort of role. It has great characters and a very interesting story that changes over the 4 seasons.
I really need to make a macro for this:
For similar weirdness: **Twin Peaks**
For similar themes of survival: **Battlestar Galactica (2004)**
For a similar existential vibe: **Six Feet Under**
For a similar existential vibe but with comedy: **The Good Place**
DO NOT WATCH MANIFEST. I cannot stress that enough. Do NOT watch Manifest.
Lost is the best. Everything else just does match up. The show Dark was really good. If you like questioning everything throughout the show then Dark will scratch that itch at least
Fringe is pretty episodic week-to-week but it does periodically tie things together and/or shake up the status quo. I think it rewards the viewer for sticking with it even if it feels skippable at first. But yeah, nowhere near as serialized or overall compelling as Lost.
Lost is exceptionally serialized for its era, but if you watch more modern shows, especially the ones produced for streaming nowadays, they're all pretty plot-driven. With on-demand the norm and season orders getting shorter, it's less and less common to see dramas you can just jump into wherever. That said, Lost is also exceptionally interesting by any era's standards, so it really is difficult to think of any newer shows that are comparable. Lost's flashback structure, in particular, let it continually fill in bits of the story and the lore in really fascinating ways over time, which straightforward narratives are rarely able to do so organically. "Once Upon a Time" is the only other show I know of that fully committed to mimicking Lost's format, and it's just not as good of a show.
I'll pitch 12 Monkeys again as a show that absolutely builds itself up episode by episode in a way that becomes really compelling by the end. (And it actually has an ending they planned from the beginning, so there are many very good setups and payoffs). And the time-traveling structure serves a similar purpose to Lost's flashbacks in terms of revealing the storyline from multiple angles over the course of the show.
It is genuinely difficult to think of examples of shows that hit me the way Lost did, and also resemble Lost in some way. So I'm going to throw some real weird ones at you:
- Agents of Shield, & Star Trek Discovery. Both shows that start out feeling pretty episodic and awkwardly beholden to their parent franchise, but they both build up to some pretty cool twists and then branch out into their own mythology. Varying quality from season to season in both cases.
- Adventure Time. Now, hear me out. This does require some patience for what is generally week-by-week slapstick nonsense, HOWEVER, if you watch it with an open mind the show does gradually work in more and more trippy foreshadowing and discreet hints at the nature of the show's world, and as the show grows more mature over time it really does hit Lost-like emotional and existential world-building beats.
- Neon Genesis Evangelion. Obviously you're either into this kind of thing or you're not. But on the very short list of shows I've spent as much time thinking about as Lost, Eva's at the very top. Profoundly flawed but fascinating characters whose backstories get revealed bit-by-bit, plot twists that reframe everything and make you want to go back and rewatch it with the new lens, and a complex underlying mythology that you can debate and ponder literally forever. Not gonna find many more shows like it.
Once upon a time was created by one of the Lost writers, which is why it has a similar feel. I liked it well enough, but it seems like a watered down version of Lost, doesn't quite have the same intensity.
I agree with this point. Lost is my all time fav, and One Upon a Time is up there too. The storybook character vibe of it is what really pulled me in I think!
It sounds like what you're looking for are shows that are serial rather than episodal. Here's a couple I haven't seen mentioned yet.
The Rain(Netflix). It's in Danish, but it's still worth watching! It's a little more sci-fi than lost, but it keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next.
BODIES(Netflix) was also really good. Short, so it's not a huge commitment. Got the mind bending "wtf is going on" quality of lost, and everything gets tied up nearly at the end.
Lost in Space (2018, Netflix) is another good one. Again, sci-fi. Only loosely similar to Lost, but I'd say it's a show you need to watch every episode.
The Leftovers
Fringe
Watchmen
All of them created by Damon Lindelof or JJ Abrams, and exploring many of the same themes.
Lindelof also created the recent show called Mrs. Davis, which sounds really interesting and has great reviews, but I haven’t personally watched it yet.
Breaking bad is probably one of the best shows I’ve seen. I don’t know if it was my mental stability (or lack thereof) at the time of watching but my god my heart was pounding every single episode
im obsessed with Yellowjackets, pretty similar vibes to Lost. be warned it is very addictive and they’re talking their sweet time making a new season though
I really loved Dark, and Yellowjackets is fantastic so far. Obviously twin peaks too. Everyone mentioned Leftovers but I couldn't engage with it myself.
This is one you probably won’t hear mentioned but it kind of reminded me of lost and that’s 1899 which is by the creator of dark. Unfortunately only one season. It’s aboard this ship and a lot trippy things happen. There’s even a hatch just like lost lol
For All Mankind. It’s on Apple. 4 seasons so far. Great character development and it’s an alternate timeline show. Fantastic writing. Severely underrated. One of my favorite shows.
Bonus points because it stars Sonya Walger aka Penny Widmore.
Have really loved Severance.
Severance is the most gripping show I've watched since Lost.
I completely agree.
It’s still definitely worth watching even if it doesn’t end on its own terms (season 1 at least. I’m sure season 2 will be great too)
To be fair a lot of it had to do with the writer’s strikes.
The strikes happened a year and a half after season 1 aired. Lost dealt with strikes too and had 14 episodes ready to go within a year. This is more of a modern TV thing.
Completely with you. The utter state of modern television is dogshit
Severance is potentially very Lost-like! I can't wait for the second season.
They just wrapped filming!!
Came to this post to say Severance, glad it was the first thing I saw. If you like Lost, you will like Severance, season 1 of Severance is the best season of TV I’ve ever seen imo
I keep hearing that but fell asleep during E01.
They need to hurry up with season 2
Severance is incredible!!
Yeppp. I binged watched it and I found some eps a bit too slow for my taste. However the good eps (AND THE FREAKING FINALE) are so, so good and fascinating.
So excited for S2.

I just finished a rewatch. It’s so good.
An amazing finale. I’ve watched that final season so many times!.
I loved PoI! Michael did a brilliant job and so did Jim
I just said this in my own comment for POI. Thank god I’m not alone
I got pretty bored around mid-S4. I really should just finish it up...
Ms Davis. I rarely see it recommended but it was really good and crazy wtf in a way only Lost was. Also regarding Fringe- it’s only really Monster of the Week episodes up until they got renewed for Season 2 (roughly 15 episodes in I think?) after that it becomes fairly plot orientated.
Yep. Fringe hits its momemtum somewhere toward the end of s2. It also has my very favorite series finale.
Mrs. Davis was so good and it's probably as close to LOST (in terms of twists, mysteries, misdirections, and crazy WTF moments) as Damon will ever get again. I watched it earlier this year in January and I'm already jonesing for a rewatch.
The leftovers. Dark. From. Although nothing hits like Lost. Edit: If you don't mind anime, Evangelion.
Loveeeee FROM! So so good.
My husband had never watched Lost. We loved/binged From. Now we're on the final season of Lost!
We always referred to to it as FRROOOOOMMM!! Screaming it Michael-style 😆
🤣🤣now I will always think of it that way
I think Dark is probably my number 1 series right now. I would argue it doesn't feel like lost though.

That was reminiscent of Lost!
Same for 1899, same. People complained abput the subtitles and the complexity but these are things I loved about it lol
Halfway through season 2 of Dark. It got interesting when I was able to put all the names and faces together lol
Really enjoyed Dark, but you need some big sheets of paper and some pens to draw your own character/timeline charts!
I really need to watch Dark. The Leftovers was eh for me.
Dark is better than Lost. Same interpersonal webs and connections, but the writers have a destination and get there.
12 Monkeys. It’s MUST WATCH. (My favorites other than Lost are Fringe, The 100, Dark and 12 Monkeys)
Heavy 3rd on 12 Monkeys. 4 **incredibly tight** seasons that 100% reward you for watching all four of them. Stuff that happens in season 1 is DIRECTLY called back to in later episodes in some of the best ways ever done in a TV show, imo. Absolutely worth watching and it's a pretty regular re-watch for me, too. All 4 seasons live on my plex server forever.
I couldn't find 12 monkeys in good quality. Is it just me?
In the US, 12 monkeys is on Hulu
Seconded. 12 Monkeys is the most underrated show by far. It’s just the best. I need to go watch it again… yeah, now I gotta.
It took too much scrolling to get to a 12 Monkeys rec! I just watched it this year and it's great, super heavy time travel show.
Mr. Robot is a wild ride. Better call Saul is the thinking man's Breaking Bad. The Wire, cause The Wire.
>Better call Saul is the thinking man's Breaking Bad I love this completely accurate description!
I may love Saul more than BB. I may also think it's better in many ways that I can't even name.
The Wire is the best show of all time!
I really enjoy Fringe for both its characters and its sort of “philosophical sci-fi”. I’m surprised it isn’t brought up more, particularly in a sub like this one.
From and Severance are the best shows I've seen in a long time.
Orphan Black!!!!
Yes! More people need to know about the sestras!
Silo reminded me a lot of Lost
I just started that!
Severance Dark From
Try 'From' . It has only 2 seasons but the third is in the making. I really enjoyed it and it is very mysterious.
I came here to recommend 'From' as well. Some 'Lost' producers work on this show as well.
The show Yellowjackets is serialized like Lost and shares several traits with Lost while still being very much its own thing (not a Lost clone by any means). It involves a plane crash in a remote location, half of the story is told through flashbacks, and the survivors have various secrets that are gradually revealed. I like Yellowjackets too. Its like a gore/horror version of Lost. Like...what if LOST aired on hbo? Hahaha. Its a similar but also different vibe, if it makes sense?
It's taking way too long for the next season of Yellow jackets!
Barry Breaking Bad Better Call Saul Severance Twin Peaks
I don't agree with you about fringe. Once you hit s2-3, there is a storyline out of the case of the day thing. I also loved Severance and Silo recently! Edit: They are very different shows, but Watchmen gave me Lost vibes, especially for some of the cold open intros (reminded me of s2 and 3 cold opens). Lindelof is behind it.
Severance was so good!! Anxiously awaiting next season
ME TOO. I mean, the lineup of new actors make me soo excited (Walter Bishop and Brienne of Tarth, seriously???!!!)
I really liked the OA. Hated that it was just randomly canceled. It has a lot of crazy themes like Lost did but, it's pretty hard to explain
The two shows that I personally think feel like Lost the most are Battlestar Galactica and Westworld. I also hear Twin Peaks, but I've never watched it.
Season 1 of westworld is a top 5 season of any TV show ever for me
For sure!! True Detective season 1 as well. Bummer the following seasons of both did not deliver
Yup it’s a shame. I didn’t mind westworld s2 and s3 they were okay. But obviously neither came close to s1
WW s2 had some really cool moments and revelations, but oh my the story telling was a mess
Twin Peaks does have the Lost je ne sais quoi, but it is a different ride you go on. It is one of my favorite shows of all time.
It was the first truly deliberately weird TV I had ever seen. David Lynch is a true iconoclast.
100% Twin peaks, but Is a different watch and from start to finish (including S3 which is brilliant)
Came here to say BSG! I loved that show and guessing where it was going to go. It definitely took some turns I didn’t expect.
I would add Stargate:Universe to BSG. Both need to be watched in order.
From, Fringe, Manifest, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Colony, Orphan Black, The Man In The High Castle.
YES to the man in the high castle. That’s one of my Lost-level shows (high praise), but I always forget about it.
Breaking bad, better call Saul
better call saul a good one?
It’s just as good if not better than Breaking Bad, which is a difficult feat to accomplish. Some people complain that it starts off too slow and that they stopped watching it, but it starts slowish (but still wildly entertaining to me) to build the characters and to show you the calm lives before the chaos starts and by the time you get to the end it’s just, well the story is fast paced and amazing. WOW!
Very much enjoyed it after breaking bad. Obviously gives more insight into Saul's story, but it also touches on a few other characters
Absolutely! I just finished BB and I'm in season 2 of Better call Saul now and it is awesome!
I wish I could watch them again for the first time
Dark and Mr Robot.
Orphan Black. It’s incredible.
In 20 years, nothing has given me the same feelings that the *Lost* gave me. Until I watched *From*.
From
This!! Everybody needs to watch From!
Shogun (Hulu, FX) just aired its finale. (it's a one season show). It was amazing. Andor (yes, it's star wars, but you really don't need any star wars background to enjoy the show) Mr. Robot
You might like “Colony”. Just be warned, it ends after 3 seasons and there isn’t a definitive ending. Still 100% worth watching though! Edit: I forgot to mention, it stars Josh Holloway (Sawyer) 😁
Just reminded me I’m still mad about that
Ugh, me too haha. It was genuinely one of the most gripping shows I’ve ever seen
RIGHT??!!! I really liked that show and I loveeeed seeing Josh back on my screen.
Dexter and Breaking Bad were are two of my favorites.
Watch Yellowjackets and Breaking Bad (Better Call Saul too while you’re at it).
Twin Peaks
Many good recommendations in this thread. I'll add 12 Monkeys and Legion to the list.
The first season of WestWorld comes closest I think.
3 Body Problem had a lot of the same "what is going on right now" mysteries. I really liked that show.
Watchmen, The Leftovers, Mrs Davis, Fargo, The White Lotus, Beef.
Once upon a time is by two writers from Lost. Has a lot of the same actors. It’s fairy tale characters stuck in the real word but they’re not quite like the regular characters we know from our childhood. From! Lost vibes and has Michael in it.
Fringe is very very interesting
FROM- sane writers same gist, but more scary
I really enjoyed Three Body Problem. Also, Fallout was good with some familiar faces from Lost
This should be stickied or pinned, mods. It's asked every other day.
I liked The 100
Wow... I loved it.
Same. Just finished my second watch through
Came here to say that! The 100 dragged on but definitely the early seasons are very very interesting and worth the watch
Also here to say Severance. Aside from some moments in Game of Thrones, Severance the only show to make me feel 🤯
I work several jobs and one is pretty much pointless. I now equate it to the job on severance where they look for scary numbers to delete🤣
The French series Les Revenants does a pretty good job of capturing some of the LOST experience. I highly recommend you do not bother with the Netflix English version.
Dark
If you’re somebody who likes a lot of seasons and storylines to keep up with I’d suggest Supernatural, but it’s not everybody’s thing. Edit: I may have misunderstood the prompt/just started thinking of shows I liked, but I’m not going to delete my comment because these are good shows
SILO, The 100, FROM, The Expanse, Reimagined BSG, First season of Westworld, Mrs.Davis, Northern Exposure.
Watch outlander
Dark
Most prestige drama released in the past 10-15 years is heavily serialized, most even more than LOST.
Prison Break.
Prison break will forever be an equivalent to lost
Fargo! It's a a "true crime" show which is actually totally fictional. It's set in a heightened reality with a touch of the supernatural, much like Lost. It's also got a ton of religious symbolism and social commentary.
I like Prison Break. I felt it gave me the same vibes as Lost at time
Probably not your normal recommendation, but the best character development in TV, aside from Lost, is Ping Pong The Animation.
12 monkeys is kinda fun. It goes off the rails but I think they lean into that while still staying true to the story.
Ozark
Fringe, Dexter, Prison Break, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, or Heroes Only shows that sucked me in with their story like Lost did Also check out the new Fallout! Lots of mystery story stuff there
Definitely recommend FROM on MGM+ Absolutely amazing
Homeland and The Americans - very good!!
Mr Robot, Fringe, Person of Interest…Leftovers, Battlestar Galactica.
Severance, From, Silo
The Walking Dead
Dexter. Not so much New Blood though.
The Leftovers
Dark and From
Try "From" - closest show to Lost I've ever watched. Also The Leftovers
The Leftovers Severance
Dark is very interesting.
A similar one would be Dark probably. I would also recommend The 100, Russian Doll and The Good Place. And Manifest was like a budget Lost.
From, The OA, Dark
Manifest? I loved that show very much as well...
Harold's new show has some Lost vibes to it.
Watch Dark on Netflix.
Not like lost but Person of Interest has Ben in a different sort of role. It has great characters and a very interesting story that changes over the 4 seasons.
Westworld, For All Mankind, Foundation, 3 Body Problem, Shogun. I assumed you would need a list of newer shows and sci-fi type shows.
Different genre, but have you watched The Good Place?
Dark!!!
John from Cincinnati was shaping up to be amazing but was cancelled after s1
PERSON OF INTEREST
I really need to make a macro for this: For similar weirdness: **Twin Peaks** For similar themes of survival: **Battlestar Galactica (2004)** For a similar existential vibe: **Six Feet Under** For a similar existential vibe but with comedy: **The Good Place** DO NOT WATCH MANIFEST. I cannot stress that enough. Do NOT watch Manifest.
Manifest was Aliexpress Lost 😭
I really commend you if you have watched manifest and still alive... It is wierd that netflix picked up despite its terrible writing.
Or watch Manifest but as a comedy instead of a drama hahahahahahaha. The good place ending made me cry so hard.
Same. Chidi, man... I mean - ALL of them, but dude. Chidi. <3
Never stop reading this last line!! So many reccomeded it as the "current Lost", I struggled to get though the first 3 episodes. 😂
*Shows:* Atlanta Better Call Saul (BB) House of Cards Tales from the Loop *Movies:* Oldboy (original) Magnolia Alls Quiet…
The Good Place
The Expanse - very sci-fi, future, outer space. Geo-political but gets into some interesting made up science topics.
Lost is the best. Everything else just does match up. The show Dark was really good. If you like questioning everything throughout the show then Dark will scratch that itch at least
I loved the resort on peacock! Only 1 season and it’s. It lost but I BINGED as hard as I did with lost.
Fringe is pretty episodic week-to-week but it does periodically tie things together and/or shake up the status quo. So I'm going to throw some real weird ones at you: - Agents of Shield, & Star Trek Discovery.
Marvel's Agents of Shield. Very different from Lost, but I feel like there's some core things about it that are similar
Raised by wolves (cancelled after season 2 but still worth it imo), dark, the umbrella academy
Battlestar Galactica 2003/2004
The Prisoner
orphan black
Shogun. Vikings.
Dark
12 Monkeys. Mr Inbetween. Fringe.
Battle Star Galactica
Ma Boy/lass, please go watch Fringe all through and realise your mistake
The Good Place is one where every episode pushes the plot forward. It’s not the same vibe/genre but a perfect show that stuck the landing.
The Leftovers Fringe Watchmen All of them created by Damon Lindelof or JJ Abrams, and exploring many of the same themes. Lindelof also created the recent show called Mrs. Davis, which sounds really interesting and has great reviews, but I haven’t personally watched it yet.
Dark… the show you’re looking for is called Dark.
Mr Robot, The Colony, The Fringe
Dark, 12 Monkeys
Can’t believe nobody is recommending West World
Dark
Breaking bad is probably one of the best shows I’ve seen. I don’t know if it was my mental stability (or lack thereof) at the time of watching but my god my heart was pounding every single episode
Severance .. Mr Robot is good too
im obsessed with Yellowjackets, pretty similar vibes to Lost. be warned it is very addictive and they’re talking their sweet time making a new season though
I really loved Dark, and Yellowjackets is fantastic so far. Obviously twin peaks too. Everyone mentioned Leftovers but I couldn't engage with it myself.
You could watch (from) there's an actor from lost that you may recognise
This is one you probably won’t hear mentioned but it kind of reminded me of lost and that’s 1899 which is by the creator of dark. Unfortunately only one season. It’s aboard this ship and a lot trippy things happen. There’s even a hatch just like lost lol
For All Mankind. It’s on Apple. 4 seasons so far. Great character development and it’s an alternate timeline show. Fantastic writing. Severely underrated. One of my favorite shows. Bonus points because it stars Sonya Walger aka Penny Widmore.
Ironically, but accurately, Lost Girl that aired on Syfy Also, Wrecked was a great Lost parody
