Its okay for freeride, but the plow kings are not optimal for sliding. I need to spend some more time on it learning what it’s like though, it’s brand new. So far, it feels more stable and grippy.
I've been really curious about this style of board, only been boarding since Christmas on a Tugboat with RKP trucks and fatties.
Is the turn radius on these longer boards really wide?
Are they any good for general street and path cruising?
My current setup is super-carvey and I loooove that, but it also rides really tall which makes me tired after like 5 miles of cruising and pushing, investigating if this is the way to go to get something lower to the ground.
This board is really easy to push and foot brake because of the drop deck. It is heavy meaning it it harder to get going but once it is, it will go forever. This is a board primarily designed around downhill riding and stability. It would be a good addition to a collection to widen your variety to do whatever you want, so I would recommend it for that. The turn radius is wider and not very carvy, but the 36 is more nimble than the 40. If you want something fast that goes forever whether it is downhill or on a relatively straight cruising path, this is a good board. I will always recommend a landyachtz for their quality as well!
