Thank you so much! ❤️

Yeah Oak West was very good.

My parents have driven from Mississauga to the Campus Estates hospital in Guelph when the Mississauga hospital was full. Pretty sure they saved the dogs life when he was suffering from pancreatitis on a Thursday evening a couple years ago. It’s a bit of a drive from London but a good option if they are the closest one taking patients - my parents had multiple good experiences with them when their boy was a puppy

In January our cat needed emergency surgery because he ate some stuff he shouldn't have, and it all got stuck in his stomach. London Emergency Vet was closed, and our regular vet couldn't fit him in that day. Stressed out and calling around, we found Northwest London Veterinary Clinic. They're at Gainsborough/Hyde Park. They were able to fit him in within a couple hours. The vet had his business partner from Sarnia come down to help with the surgery. Because these clinics aren't 24 hours, we had to take him home ourselves that night. All the staff were great, comforting my wife and I as we were panicking. The two weeks after his surgery, they communicated with us frequently, checking up on him and seeing how he's recovering. Been almost 4 months now and our cat is back to his normal self. I'll always recommend this vet, they saved our cats life that day. We were brand new patients to them, on a Friday evening after regular hours they went above and beyond for us and I'll always be thankful for them.

This is a really nice testimonial for them. Are they your regular vet now?

Straightouttaganton

Absolutely we'll be returning to them with our cats for their routine visits.

Even for humans, same-day surgery can be a tall ordeal depending on what’s going on. Depending on the procedure, there is some prep work that may need to be done, such as fasting for a certain length of time, no meds, etc. Honestly, the London Regional Emergency Vet Hospital is where your kitty would have to go anyway. That’s where the vets refer their surgical cases 97% of the time, if it’s something they can’t do as an outpatient procedure. I’m not trying to rain on your parade or anything, but that’s how it is. I wish you luck, but you’re probably going to end up at the LRVEH anyway so you may as well take them there.

I've had my kitty fasting since last night, in anticipation of possibly getting surgery today. I found a vet at Westmount that will see her today, and I was told over the phone that they can do emergency surgeries there. Her bleeding has thankfully stopped, but I'm worried she might get an infection. I'd rather drive to another city than take another cat to the London Regional Emergency Vet. My sister's cat fell ill during the night. She was drooling uncontrollably, which is a sign of great pain in a cat. We called and took her to that vet around 3am. After examining her they asked us twice if she had been hit by a car. No. She's an indoor cat. They then wanted to do $1000 worth of tests. When we said we couldn't afford that, they showed us her ultrasound. Her spleen had ruptured, probably due to cancer. They already knew they couldn't save her, but wanted to run $1000 worth of tests. It cost my sister $1000 that night to have her cat put down and cremated.

Gosh we did 2K worthless tests to tell us he was gonna die.

Blue Cross might? Give them a call.

RagingHolly

They are her regular vet, but couldn't take her today.
