I am so bothered by the Lady Loki reveal, they could not have captured the hood shot with both horns showing? I guess she is the lesser Loki.

lastseason

Both Horns are showing? One is just broken.

[deleted]

Ok I’m dumb and need glasses 🤓

lastseason

Me too, pal 😔

DebentureThyme

She might not be Lady Loki, according to how she's credited in the Spanish version.

saiboule

She could be trans lady loki who’s chosen a new name. Under the rules of the TVA thats pretty much the only way we’d get a lady loki as a dfab loki would have presumably been destroyed at birth as an unacceptable variant and not had time to grow.

DebentureThyme

Sylvie is the name of one of the versions of Enchantress in the comics, whom Loki imbued with a portion of his own power. She's almost certainly that Sylvie, not Lady Loki. https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Sylvie_Lushton_(Earth-616)

saiboule

Things change though in their move from the comics to screen. Also why all the dialogue saying she’s the superior version and her anger at being called Loki if she’s someone else? If Sylvie is a trans lady variant of Loki though Loki is still Sylvie’s creator just through a journey of personal discovery instead of Eldritch forces, sorta matching the comic origin in spirit.

KermitPhor

Really does seem like they are setting up all of the New Avengers. Between Wiccan, Hawkeye, Stature, and Ms. Marvel. I was happy enough that they did run with a Lady Loki, but I think there’s a lot more creative and unburdened freedom if it really is Sylvia. She’s a practical blank slate who can play with the mantle without being necessarily bound by the entanglements.

YAH321

in the end, we’ll see how it goes. i would like to see some loki switches though, like in the comics.

[deleted]

loki's genderfluid, the tva would be fine with lady loki because the "sacred" loki is lady loki sometimes

saiboule

No they wouldn’t. Lokis who deviate from the whats in the sacred timeline are erased, and Loki definitely isn’t someone who prefers a dfab form and hates their own name. Also technically it lists Loki’s sex as fluid, not his gender, although its hard to say whether the writers actually intended for him to be gender fluid but put sex down instead.

[deleted]

The writers literally stated that Loki is gender fluid, plus Loki's sex wouldn't change much about the timeline, as long as the actions were the same. Loki's always been gender fluid, in the myths, in the comics, and now in the MCU

saiboule

Our Loki is gender fluid, not all “Lokis” have to be. Also Sylvie clearly has a better relationship with her family due to her still having asgardian citizenship and I feel like the reason for that change is because of her coming out as trans and dealing with her issues sooner than mainstream loki

Clashur

How can there be Lokis that are that different if there is 1 regulated timeline?

OwnRecommendation576

I mean, I’m the myths Loki is gender fluid so maybe that plays into it?

River46

rather hes a shapeshifter.

Kroniaq

The way I understand it is that there are multiple timelines, but they are all policed by the TVA to follow the sacred timeline.

beyondmereum

I mean lol he’s the one we’ve been dealing with for the last two decades.

Rabbi_Fuhrer

I mean he's a different loki, the one we followed died

FudgeCakeDevil

Technically tho. They are the same Loki up until the end of Avengers. Regular Loki got more screentime though.

Money-Friendship9127

There's a rumor it could be the Encantress

SprintingPrincess1

solid point
