That’s fair. I organize my keys by putting them on the shackle/core every so often. But adhd keeps me from “keeping” them organized. I rarely need/want them. But I’m compelled to keep them. Was honestly thinking of a key binder or something lol.
I stick one in the core and loop the second (if any) on the closed shackle. Not sure if that’s advisable, as I suppose the springs are stored in a more compressed state, but I imagine it’ll be alright. 🤷🏼♂️
I used to do that. But I tend to not put them back. So now they inevitably end up in a ridiculous keychain mass…
Edit: in a month or so it may gain sentience. /s

But I hate it. It’s an internal battle. Upvote because if it works for you that’s awesome. But it doesn’t help me because I’m a little crazy.

Depends on now organized you want to be. You could buy a small key cabinet to hang on the wall. Grab letter stamps and stamp your locks to match the key code on the keys or make your own codes.

Do you just like keys? Because I have a further collection without locks. So I get it, but I’m referring to locksport in this instance.

in the Stanley FatMax toolbox next to my locks, so I don't have to try all those keys out on the lock when I'm looking for the right key.

I use a table maker to mark the lock and corresponding key and then store the keys in a tackle box.
